Sweet Dreams of the Orphans - new project

 Dear our loving friends and faithful readers, brothers and sisters in Christ, we begin our new project -Sweet Dreams of the Orphans. The purpose of this project to bless orphans in their need with mattresses and pillows that they could sleep, forget about awful nights and with a joy thanked the Lord.

The administration of an orphanage asks us to help long ago in this need, but we can't help orphans without the God's help and providing.

 This orphanage has 90 girls with different special needs, age of 5-35 years. There are girls with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, mentally retarded, Apert Syndrome, delayed of developmentally and others. We visit this orphanage regularly with Bible lessons.It`s same orphanage where Annya received a wheelchair a year ago.It`s same place where girls received school supplies.It`s same orphanage where girls received wonderful gifts recently.

 Status of these mattresses and pillows the simply is awful. These mattresses are more than 30 years old! You can imagine what is there inside of mattresses and how it is not easy to sleep to orphans.In the inside of pillows are rags that does incapable to sleep on them. That causes mass of inconveniences and sufferings. You can imagine how heavy to sleep at night to children and as awfully they suffer. And if children with special needs sleep not enough or badly, it brings more problems both for children and for employees of orphanage.

Special inspection of orphanages requires that mattresses changed EACH 6 years. But the orphanage unable to provide all orphans and to solve this question.

Once we saw a sweetheart child that slept simply on this metal grid because of absence of mattress. The grid was covered just by a simple sheet. Can imagine how this child felt and suffered on this grid??? It`s terribly!

Seeing these mattresses and pillows simply breaks our hearts.And became a burden since then.There are no words...

The need is to raise fund $2.206 for a month, for all girls that to help to bless each of them,by a mattress and a pillow.This sum includes mattresses and pillows for all 90 girls and all fees.It frightens a little, because a large sum. But the need is more there.

But when I start to think as wonderfully and generously the Lord blessed our last project.How much we made with your help before in other projects, that just makes really smile, because we know that we have some very loving friends and readers who care, want to help and pray. You all make us grateful every single day for this wonderful community of friends we have and enjoy being a part of. 

Dear Church of Christ, dear our brothers and sister, can we do it together in one team, in one unity of Spirit for God`s glory and joy of precious children?Can you please help to make sweet dreams at nights of these orphans with special needs?

Such two wonderful opportunities

First of all I would love to thank you, for returning here!We appreciate very much that you take a minute and read our updates.Hope it brings you blessings.You are welcome here! :)


I`m so excited!I have so many to tell you!What amazing God we serve!

First several days of last week was "crazy" for me and the rest of team too. :) We needed to be ready for 3 Bible lessons one after another and we were busy VERY much.We knew we will not have a time to be ready. So, we prepared during several days.One day team worked deep to the night that to be ready and just left a place where we prepared at 2.00 AM. Next day we needed to get up at 6.00 AM will go to an orphanage.Some members slept only 3 hours at this night but some slept only 1.5 hours.Sometime it happens. But that is ok and worth it! :)

We had such two wonderful opportunities to have 2 Bible lessons in an orphanage for girls with special needs.We were so blessed!What a wonderful day we had and excited journey!God is good!!!

The first meeting we had with older girls.When they saw us, oh how they began to excited.They have run to us to give their hugs and kisses!It was so sweet.It was such blessing to see them again!

But when this girl came into the class I wanted to cry...My eyes were full with tears.I`m so sorry for this girl who still can not have a hairs.I feel myself so helpless...She is very sweet and smiles often.
Can you imagine how she feels?..Can you imagine what she feels when she sees girls who has hair? What do you think, what she thinks when she look at herself at mirror???

 

 Our Heavenly Father created her as wonderful and beautiful creation. She has such kind heart.

She is a girl.It`s so heartbreaking to see her in this condition...We pray hard we can help her.Please, will you join with us in prayer to help her?..


In the beginning we congratulated girls who had Birthdays.And we had many birthdays girls at this time! :)

They were very happy to receive gifts!As no one congratulate them and they never celebrate their birthdays.We were surprise to see a girl(on video) who kissed her gift.

So, can you imagine how they are happy to receive a gift knowing that no one to present a gift to them.Tell you.They wait for gifts ALL time.When we just come into class, children(in EVERY orphanage not just here) begin to say that they had Birthday.And they excited very much to receive a gift!

Please, pray hard for our project, Gifts to Orphans.Your prayers mean so much for us!

Before Bible story we had an object lesson about seeds. Sisters showed to girls different seeds and pictures of that too.After Nadya explained if we want to have good fruits in our heart, we have to sow good seeds in our heart, kindness, love, care, mercifulness,friendship, forgiveness etc. And if we will sow not good seeds in our heart, we will reap bad fruits and will have evil heart, jealousy, avarice, egoism, not forgiveness,envy etc. 

We were talked about forgiveness at this time.As we talked about Joseph who forgave his brothers, when they sold of him to Egypt. If we forgive, our heart is free and we are calm.But if we keep bitterness, we have a trouble.

Girls were very interested to see different seeds.

After Bible story we learned with them Bible verse:  "...forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephes. 4:32(b)

In this helped us a game what girls played.

We have chosen 7 persons. They went on a class while music sounded. When music has stopped they should fast to find to herself a pair. Who hasn't found to herself pair, had the right to open a verse word. As words have been numbered, it was good possibility to repeat numbers with girls.Girls liked this game very much and were exciting to play!

After of game Nadya has made a resume. As it was a little disappointed to who hasn't found pair, how  it was lonely to Joseph in Egypt there.

And in the end we made a craft.

The craft was with the Bible verse and two circles put together by brads where on the bottom circle were events  in Joseph's life. They can twist circles.I think it perfectly, as it helps to remember to girls these events :)

One more blessing we had.We could to give sweet marsh-mallow to girls.Oh, how they enjoyed!What a joy and blessing was to them!

 

Friends, God hears your prayers!We had such amazing time with girls!Several teachers were sitting and has observed during almost all lesson. An one teacher, who was not so happy to see us before.She came up and said: "Please, come to us oftener." Wow! We were amazed to hear it! What a blessing!God works in hearts of employers of orphanage!Please, keep praying!!!

We made them with smallest kids.It was second Bible lesson we had after lesson with older girls.We were so happy we could to have second lesson in same orphanage!What a blessing and wonderful opportunity!

Oh!You should to see these precious faces and their shining eyes when they saw us!How they run to us and give theirs hugs!How they excited!They fly as bees to honey.And it melts our hearts.

In the beginning we congratulated kiddies who had Birthdays.The sweet teacher helped us at this time.We were so blessed she was at lesson and helped us, when we needed it.

During a lesson we sang a song with them.They LOVE to sing with movements.

Before telling a Bible story about Cain and Abel, we had object lesson.

God is so good!We were able to buy fruits and give them piece of each fruit, an orange, banana, apple and kiwi.We have found they never eat kiwi.It was first ever kiwi they eat. :(

Oh, how they were impressed and enjoy by this blessing!When you see their happy faces.You want to cry,it`s tears of happiness.You are happy to see these sweet and beautiful happy faces.You are happy to see how they excited by each little thing and you think can be something better?
Can be something better than to see a smile on face of kid than a tears?

We took fruits because "Cain was a tiller of the ground."

 "But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect." because he had not clean heart."And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell". We have talked how it`s important to have our small hearts pure from any sin.

Kiddies LOVED it very much!The object lesson was perfect!We noticed how they were excited by seeing fruits

Here we played a game to learn a Bible verse.Children attached different fruits on the blackboard.

In the end we made these funny lambs.Kiddies were amazed and loved VERY much to make them!They wanted to put them one with another. :)

Children should put only cotton wool to already ready paper ball. And also to attach already ready snouts of lambs with eyes.We have made legs of lambs with chenille stems.Sisters have made paper balls before from of the old newspapers.And on top of balls have attached a sticky tape that helps to hold cotton wool.It was fun!

Small kids were blessed by sweet marshmallow in the end also.

They loved it too! :)

We had amazing time with smallest kiddies too!They were so much impressed and emotional that even it was heavy to discipline them sometimes.But they were sweet!

And one more blessing we have.When we collected things and were going to go home. The teacher that was with us at the lesson, has approached to us and strongly thanked.She also has been impressed by the lesson, very much it was pleasant to her and she liked it too.

She has told that would be very glad to use our ideas in training of children. To tell the truth, we NEVER EXPECTED  to hear it. What a blessing! Also she has told that children feel this warmly and kindness that we bring and also they become others.They wait for us every time.

We have been amazed and overwhelm to hear it...It warmed our hearts and we praised the Lord!

And we left behind these wonderful and precious hearts who has told us good bye looking through windows.They every time see off us by this way...

The day was such beautiful.The winter finally came in Ukraine.Winter without snow, it`s not winter here.We everybody enjoy by snow.Everything just is white and very beautiful! On picture is not so nice as it really. :)
We were coming back to homes with hearts full of joy.And we were happy.

On the way to home I was thinking.Why this teacher was so much impressed and liked the lesson very much? Hmm. The lesson was very and very simple, there was not something amazing, inspired or unusual. The thought came in head.I hope I`m right. :) 

The problem is because teachers do not have books, literature or different things what will help them to teach children.Because this teacher thanked again for books and copybooks we brought to them.Thanks to you all! As I told you before, all teachers flew as hungry birds to bread.But what we brought, it is very and very little.They STARVE for different teachers helpers, books, copybooks, different literature, visualization etc.

We pray hard we can help them with different literature to teach children.There is very BIG need with it.Please, join to our prayers in this need!Thank you!

Well.I was going to share with you a one more blessing we have.But we have one more amazing HUGE blessing about that we have found today! We are thrilled and so excited! God loves them

Do you see this sweetheart and precious one whom pastor Misha is holding? Do you remember we asked you to pray several days ago for this small one who eat not well? 

We pleaded Jesus to help this little girl.We are so thankful to you for your prayers and we are so blessed!God answered and sent to us a blessing just in time we could help this small girl! Wow! What a blessing!

"...for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy". Hosea 14:3(c) KJV

We could to buy a medicine what will help to her we hope to have a good appetite.We could buy pills what will be enough for several weeks!Also we could  help with diapers little.
 

We are so glad that God cares about orphans and we praise Him!We praise the Lord for his measureless love to these sweet treasures and adorable ones!

We could spend time with these small ones!Oh, what a blessed and amazing time we had! Children were so excited by games, songs, especially by puppet show!We were such happy to make this day special in their small lives and happy!They received sooo much positive emotions and exciting moments!

On this video you can see a game we played.Usually when we play at this game, children should to give a correct answer to question about Jonah.(While we have our travels, Bible program about Jonah to orphans during this month). Oh, yes we told them very simple Bible story about Jonah too. :) And they were soooo much amazed when whale opened mouth!!! They said: "I, I want too!" It was soooooo sweet! Many of them wanted to be Jonah too and hide behind of whale.It was so and sooo funny!

As these children with special needs and they are too small to give an answer and many of them do not speak.We just played a game and when music stoped, they should to turn oneself and pass on a toy to a next child.

Next game was loved by many kids, to catch fish.Oh, how they loved it and excited!

As you remember we learn Bible verse by this game.But these kids are too small so, we just played.And when they caught a fish, they just tear away a piece of paper on blackboard.An one sweet girl when she got a present in this game.She caught a fish with gift.She not needed tear away a piece of paper but she saw children did it.They liked it much. And she said: "Where is my piece? Show me, I want to tear off too!" :)

The next video how they enjoyed and excited by puppet show.They loved it so much that asked puppets to sing more and more!Are not they cute when they clap of hands?

Oh, how they sweetie and cute when they sang a song! Aren`t they?I love to watch this video again and again!

This is not all.We have brought gifts to these small angels, toys and small cars.Oh, how they were amazed when they heard it!How they were excited!It was so funny when several girls wanted to get cars too!

Thank you so much Sabrina and her wonderful family, who has blessed these sweet orphans by so many toys!What a blessing to the orphans to receive and have their own toy!We were excited very much with our small angels, it seemed as we receiving these toys too! :)

We had such blessed and wonderful spent time with small ones!We thanks God, who has blessed these precious ones who has needs all time!We are so happy could bring if only little bit a Christ light, hope and love to these abandoned by parents kiddies. Long wonderful day

Do you see such big crowd? We had probably over 160 children and  many caretakers at one hall. Wow! We were so blessed to visit this orphanage!There about 180 orphans! That is a lot!We were so happy to share the Gospel with them and say amazing Bible story about Jonah.We had such blessed and wonderful time during program! Everything was absolutely amazing and perfect!!! We are so thankful to Jesus!

I have so much to tell you!I will try to say everything in series.
We have spent all day long to be busy with this orphanage!Before spending time with orphans and telling them about God we have helped them.We bought everything they needed for school supplies!We were so happy to help them and enjoyed to buy everything.
Director of orphanage were amazed and soooo thankful!She says teachers often go to her and ask everything what they necessary for a lesson.But orphanage has not finances for it.How she can help? There are many kids who have many different problems, needs, etc.And director do everything she can to care about them.

So, anyway we are VERY thankful to those who donated for school supplies and has blessed this orphanage!
We are thankful to you that you shared with these kids love of Jesus Christ and his care about orphan`s needs.We are grateful much!

As this orphanage has children with special needs.Teachers were so happy to receive these gifts, supplies what they can use to teach children, develop them, open their talents etc.We bought not everything they needed because we could not find and shops do not have so many supplies.It is necessary to order.So, we bought what we could find and most of it.

We bought liquid glue, furniture lacquer,tool equipment for work with wood, metally meccano for little kids,and different tools which I do not know and do not remember names. :) Also gimps and 10 meters of cross-stitch canvas for girls.I think it is enough for whole year!These things only for lesson labor training.

And also we bought 4 big sheets of plywood.But they are such big size so we could not place it to transport but not ours. :) So,we have paid for it, left bill to administration of orphanage.They necessary only find a transport that will deliver plywood to orphanage.
So, sorry do not have picture.We did not know that it will be such big size.And we thought make picture at orphanage when we will buy everything.
 We bought plywood that children under the guidance of  teachers will make games for children, for their development.It can be  lace up games and many others.We have these games for development of children  but they are very expensive.So, decision of director was to make that to save some finances and children can learn to work with wood, as their program demand of it.I think that is very good idea!

Here is example of games what children can do.That is not exactly as these but similar to them.

By the way we would love to ask you.Probably some one of you have games or colorful book with animals, cars, buildings etc. those what you do not need? Even it will be on foreign language that is ok.Children can learn by pictures. Please, can you send to orphans here what will help them in their education and development?I`m sure caretakers and teachers would appreciate it very much because they often have nothing.Thank you!

Finally when we bought what we could, as I said above almost everything, we could have Bible time with children.The time there was absolutely amazing!We received so much emotions, applause, smiles, hugs, kisses and much more!Kids were amazed by everything! Even caregivers came up to us and thanked. Oh, it was so sweet! We are so blessed that we could to share the Gospel with so many folks in one time! What a blessing!

In the beginning of meeting pastor Misha could to read  the Bible and shared the Gospel as on picture little above.After that we could to have our program for children.

The whale "swallowed" our Jonah. The little boy played in story very well.Everyone sitting in hall liked it much.

Next were games.The first game was already beloved by many kids in orphanages during our travelings, to catch fish in water.As you remember we learn Bible verse with kids by this way about obedience.

As every time a lot of those wishing to play!

We even had a girl who began to cry because she did not play at this game when we finished.Well, children are so many and sometimes you can see all of them at one time. So, that she stop to cry we took her behind of our puppet stage and several fishes placed to our bowl. She hooked a one.Really, I do not know was it good but she was so happy! :)

Next picture where the team is giving candies to kiddies.These precious ones were not at hall when we had program because they had nap.Until we finished with everything, we wanted to find them and give candies too.Everywhere was very dark, no light, only pitch darkness outside. It was so funny when we have found them in darkness by their voices when they were singing. :) Oh, how they were happy to recieve candies!

By the way we could to visit more little angels who are sooo sweet and we adore them!They are age 3-8 year old.They could to receive candies too.

And we could to play with them a little.Ah, they all are so cute and precious! Just want to hug all of them!

Look at this sweet small one how she is happy!This girl has Apert syndrome.She has a high-arched palate what brings her trouble to chew.Also she has not all fingers or they are webbed. Same she has webbed toes on her feet...But she is very communicative!

Look at this cute boy! Is not he sweet? He is 4 years old and still does not speak...Mom left him when gave birth and he arrived to this orphanage from baby home several months ago.

Poor small boy...He needs mom and dad who will love him and maybe after he will be in loving family, he will begin to speak.
That is why he huged and kissed pastor Misha.Oh, that it was so sweet and you want to weep over when you see it.We whole team were amazed to see it!

We believe in miracles!We know one little girl who did not speak for a long time even she was 4 years old.We prayed for a long time and she began to speak!What a miracle! All staff of orphanage was surprised because they did not believe she will speak when ever!

Do you see these next sweet angels?Are not they just cute these 2 small girls?
We have prayer request and plea to help small Alyona, who is with white long hair on right side.This little precious kid was 6 times sick of pneumonia during this year.That is terrible!!! I do not know how she is still alive, only by mercy of our Lord Jesus.
We ask you to pray for her that God will keep her in His arms and give her well health.

Also we PLEAD you to help with good medicine for little kids.Please, can someone send some medicine what will help children have a good health and protect them from different sicknesses?Please, please, we beg you!Director of orphanage do everything she can, but as very often happen,there are not enough finances...

Next small angel about whom we ask you to pray much also.This small sweet girl has a problem with appetite.I`m not sure but probably her name is Vika.The problem is that she does not eat because does not want.She was at hospital diagnosed by doctors.They have found nothing what bring a trouble for her to eat.They say, she is healthy.But why she does not eat?Can some one tell me?

We have found her mom is sick by schizophrenia and her father drinks.I think the reason why she does not eat because she feels herself unwanted and unloved...

Yes, she is only 4 years old, she does not understand many things but as every child she feels that she is beloved and she needs someone.She needs a family who will love and care about her...

Orphanage has not finances to care and medicate this small girl.The staff of orphanage has told us horrible situations when this small one scared them, when she ate nothing during 3 days.It happens often.They thought she will die.She eat sometimes piece of cookies or something like that.But as every one understands what will happen if you will be eat just cookies or little bit same food???

As orphanage has not finances, the staff donate when they can and buy some medicine to help this small angel.But it is enough only for a week.We had little bit money and gave to caretaker to buy this medicine that save her life.

We plead you...Please, can you help this small girl to help have a good appetite, send some medicine or donate, that we can buy here.Whatever you will think it will be the best for her.One pack cost only $9, it is enough for a week.

Tomorrow we are going to visit these small precious ones again.We would be very happy if someone will donate if only little bit to help small girl.You can donate $1-5-10-15-25 and more...Each $ is appreciate!Please, can you help her?Thank you!
