God`s Word to orphans

Ok.The next day Friday after visitation of small ones, we could visit orphans at other orphanage and had Bible lesson as every time.
After prayer we sang a little and refreshed in their memory several Bible verses which we have learned with them before. We every time recollect that they remember Bible verses and it remain in their hearts forever.

Why we do it?Because Bible says:"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:9;11
If we have verses in our hearts it keep us from sin, give encouragements, strength, faith, wisdom, peace, do right etc.Than oftener we read Bible (sincerely and with pure heart) all the more is our faith."So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

I Bible every time give advice to Christians. Do you want to have strong faith? Read Bible daily with all your heart! It is very simple and it is what Bible says! :)

One of my favourite verses:
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success". Joshua 1:8

And children like it much to refresh verses, especially verse with gestures "O Lord, my strength and my fortress..." Jeremiah 16:19 which we learned here.

Next we recollected last story. That is was very interesting that they remembered the name of Boaz but could not remember name of Ruth.We were surprised and amazed that they remember Boaz!It is heavy to remember for them.Because names are Hebrew and these kids are with special needs. So, we repeat names with them too.But I think that ok and most of all important that they remember Bible stories and what God can do in their lives too. :)

At this time we told them a grand story about Debora.I love our "Debora"!Isn`t she beautiful? Masha was very  proud to play a role of Debora. She is very nice and clever girl.

Taras played a role of Barak, who was afraid to fight with Sisera.Judges 4 He so excited to be him!

A second Masha(on the right side) played Sisera. We did not have enough boys, so we took the girl.We did not have many kids at this day because several of them were sick, several of them(boys) a teacher took them to do something at orphanage. But we had a good time!

After telling to them of the Bible story we explained, if any person do not do what God says to do, He pass a praise to other person. It is same as Barak did not trust to the Lord, he was afraid Sisera and asked the woman, warrior Deborah to go with him.And God praised a Jael wife of Heber the Kenite.
Judges 5:24 "Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent".

Here we played a game "To help palm tree to blossom".If they gave correct answer on Bible story, they had right to stick a palm leaves. They loved this game sooo much!

And after that we learned Bible verse."The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree..." Psalm 92:12(a) In Russian Bibles Psalm 91:13 Kids were amazed to see this verse with Deborah!!!

They said:"Oh, that is very easy!" And each of them wanted very much to say this verse after that when we learned it.They enjoyed to learn and liked it very much!!!

In the end children made craft, palm tree with Deborah under tree and with Bible verse.

Oksana and Nadya helped those, who needed help.

Here our kiddies with their palm trees.Aren`t they beautiful?

They enjoyed and were impressed sooo much by their palm trees. So, they decided to place it onto blackboard. :)  Isn`t it sweet?
We were so blessed to spend time with them and we praise the Lord!Probably next Friday will be last day when we will meet them and we will miss them.It is so sadly. Because after 23 of December they will have winter vacation. We are not sure yet.But we will see.

about Deborah to orphans

I`m very happy to tell that we could visit several orphanages yesterday and today. We had very blessed time with kids! Also we are going to visit one more orphanage tomorrow, if God`s will.About our visitings I will share with you a little bit later. Here I would like to tell you about one of ours visiting that we had last week.

Do you see this beautiful girl who is sitting under a palm tree? She was Deborah.Yes, we told a Bible story about Deborah, woman-warrior to children who dwelt under palm tree and who was a prophetess and judge too.In Bible this story is in Judges 4. Children were amazed and surprised to hear that!!!They loved this strory!

After prayer and song we had object lesson. We showed a picture of chariot to them and spoke a bit about it.
What do you think, for whom it is easier to winning for infantryman of the warrior or who has a chariot? Why? etc.

After that they listened of  the story. We have decided to tell this story in roles where there were Devora, Sisera and Barak.
The Lord has blessed with it we could make a palm tree that it would be more interesting to children. We have made leaves with of the big sheets of foam. Thanks to those who has blessed us with big sheets of foam! And we have made a tree trunk(body) with of a cardboard pipe which we have asked in shop for fabrics. Usually on this pipe reel up the big rolls of fabrics. God has blessed that we have got several of it free of charge. :) We colored it, have added leaves and we had palm tree.Children were amazed and said: "Oh, we have palm tree! That is unusual!"

Kids were excited very much to play roles of this story but others were excited to listen and it was fun!

Then we had a game, where children should to give the right answer on a question on Bible history. We named this game, Help a palm tree to blossom. As our palm tree was without leaves, children helped to blossom to it by means of their answers. :) Who has given the right answer, had the right to attach a palm leaf.

They loved much this game!

But children were more amazed and impressed when they saw Bible verse which we were going to learn with them!!! Wow!That is nice!Oh, look it is Deborah and palm tree! and many different speeches you could hear! :)
The verse we learned with the was "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree..."Psalm 92:12In Russian Bibles Psalm 91:13
We printed big picture of Deborah with warriors where is Bible verse too and colored it.Also we made palm tree there, leaves were made from foam too that we can use it in many orphanages. :)

Then they did a craft, Deborah under a palm tree. Very much it was pleasant to them, as the craft was unusual and it was easy to do it for them.

We were so blessed by spent time with them and telling about Bible heroes! We thanks and praise God!

At this time Sasha and Lyuba had time with teens.I`m so sorry I do not have pictures. But I know, they had absolutely blessing time with older kids!

Friends, we need your help!We would be very thankful if you will pray for us, God give us wisdom, strength, patience, to know heart of each child more, how to train and help them as much as it possible. How to discipline them and teach them to obey.As most children are with special needs and each of them are very different, it is very heavy for us.Very often we need in God`s wisdom.
Please, pray for us! Thank you!!!

The story of love

The next day Friday as I said before, we could to visit next orphanage. And we had with orphans as usual Bible lesson.
When we just have arrived to the orphanage, kids who have saw us through windows started to knock on window that we have seen them and they waved hands.Ah!It was such sweet moment. They so were excited when they noticed that we have seen them!
When we came into a class to other kids with whom we have regular lessons, they all of them as birds have started to fly to us.They have been surprised and so happy to see us!They huged us and have been excited! It was sooo sweet! :)

At this time we told them a story of love, about Ruth. How she loved her mother in law that she left her motherland and went unto the land of Judah together with her. Also we learned character of Ruth about her love to Naomi, her loyalty to mother in law, that she was hardworking, kind, coy and lowly. Ruth was a woman of wholehearted devotion. Also this story teaches us great lesson of selflessness, and strength in times of hardship. And I love this story much! :)

After prayer as well we have thought back last Bible lesson we had. After that we were going to have object lesson before Bible story with vegetable oil, salt and water. But we have found that all vegetable oil had spilled out in a bag.Oops! :) It has turned over itself somewhere on a way. So we did not have object lesson.

After Bible story of Ruth, we could play game " Gleaning  Wheat". Each student answered a question from the lesson.  If they gave the answer correct they have taken basket and gleaned in the "Field of Boaz." They had right to pick up only 3 spikelets. We had enough. Our classroom floor served as Boaz's field. The kiddos loved playing this game. They love getting out of their chairs and learning  by playing.

The next we have learned Bible verse and learning it by playing. We named this game, "Help Ruth pick up spikelets". We took 6 kids who did not play yet and had divided them by two groups.

We have placed downwards spikelets in a floor for 2 commands. They should find words of a verse of the Bible between many spikelets.

After that they should to place it in hands of Ruth.
They did it real fast!As everyone wanted to win!
Kids liked this game!It was real fun to find words of verse between different spikelets!

We learned verse  "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." 1John 3:18
Ruth showed her loyalty and love to her mother in law.We think it is good verse to memorise for kiddies. That we will love not only words but deed too.

Also we memorised words of Ruth by song with children she told to Naomi, several times.
Wherever you go, I will go.
Wherever you dwell, I will dwell.
Your people, my people,
Your God, my God!     I LOVE soooo much words of Ruth!!!

Children amazed us! When we asked them before what Ruth told to her mother in law when she said to her daughters in law return to their mother`s house. They said correct words! It was such blessing to hear it and we were impressed!

Ok.This sweet boy had Birthday, yes, we had only one birthday child at this time. And we congratulated him.He  loved so much his kitten that Taras told us, he will be asleep with his toy.He liked his small gift!

In the end as well they made craft, paper doll of Ruth. They love very much to color something. So, they excited by doing this craft! The arm of Ruth is attached with a brad so that it can move. They loved it soooo much!
We had nice and great time with kiddies! We were so blessed to be with them!We praise the Lord the each moment to be with them and bring Gospel! We enjoyed to tell them a great story of love!Hope these seeds of God`s word will bring  yield fruit of Holy Spirit in some time.

Are not beautiful these two little nice girls?
They have put on Ukrainian tradition costume and headwear. They could not be with us on Bible lesson because they had practise at this time of some songs etc. They could resort only some times on several minutes to see that occurs and came back back.
At this day in a city where is this orphanage was purty or social gathering, the same as Ukrainian people have made this hundreds year ago. This day is elaborate and can be  humorous and poetic. Also folks like to sing different Ukrainian folk songs a lot.
Ukrainian culture has a highly developed tradition of oral literature. Folktales, folk songs, folk drama, proverbs, riddles, and numerous other genres. Ukrainian people have liked to do all these things during purty or social gathering, which has named as "vechornici". Vechornici has name because of word vechir, what means by -evening.Because in the evenings when all work have finished, people liked to gather in the evenings and to spend time. But this is only culture and tradition which was in past :)

Strongest man

We have talked about strongest man in Bible with kids in this orphanage. This is Samson. And we had great time with kids at this day!
Our meeting was as usual. We continue to learn about Bible heroes. We have learned a new song about power of God, have played different games, had Bible history, made craft and just had fun time.
We all time say to kids we have travel on Bible and something has to happen each time.We will get a new knowledge and exciting moments.
And they LOVE to learn Bible! That is such great blessing for us!We are so glad to bring Gospel to orphans! What a blessing!WOW!

Before the Bible story we have played a few games, to see who is strongest boy in class. All boys wanted to show how they are strong!

It was real fun to see how they tried to show their strength. Those who thought they are strongest, they lost.Boys enjoyed much to play this game!

And it was funny when girls wanted to show their strength too! :) All kids loved these games!

After that we have talked about strongest men in Ukraine. They are Klitschko Vladimir and his brother Vitaliy and Vasiliy Virastyuk. In 2003 he was World's Strongest Man.
"How they became so strong? After many and many physical trainings. But Bible tells us a story about man who was strongest without physical trainings because God gave strength him." Children were AMAZED to hear it! They enquired is it real?WOW!

After Bible history about Samson,we have played a game, where kids needed to answer on questions about this story.
We made barbells from small balloons and drinking straws. They looked amusing. :)
Children made choice of colorful barbells they wanted. They were numbered also. The balloon which was numbered and they did choice, that number of question they answered.

But we wanted it will fun more for children to play this game. When they picked up barbells, they needed to lift their hands up and then "struggle", until they listened question and give answering. :)

They loved this game and had fun time! Many of children wanted to play this game again and again. :)

Here how they have learned Bible verse with gestures. When we were learning it, we explained to children. How God gave strength to Samson, He can give us a strength to get the victory over a sin.
The verse is "O Lord, my strength and my fortress..." Jeremiah 16:19
I know many of you will not understand what they are saying because of language. But we excited so much how they have learned and they liked this verse! That I wanted to share this video with you. :)

Than children made craft Samson with same Bible verse.

The sweet boy is enjoying by his craft. This boy is very special to us. Even he is 14 years old, he can not read and many things he can not do.And he is ignored by many those who thinks he is not as everyone. :(
But he is so exciting by our meetings! He LOVES it much! When he see us, he begin to run to us, helps to carry our bags etc. He is soooo sweet and kind boy!We are soooooooo glad to see him so happy!

In the end of our meeting we gave to kids  balloons! WOW!They were in delight of this little gift!

We had such wonderful and amazing meeting with kids!We are so glad!

Also we had a small blessing that a teacher of one of this class she could to be with us and hear the God`s Word.I think that is great that seeds of God`s word were have sown on field of her heart.Really she is kind teacher. But any person even very kind and sweet is need in Jesus to be saved. Please, pray for teachers and workers of orphanages.Thank you!Blessings!

The sunny and sweet ones

Children came back to study to schools in Ukraine.Schools and any universities begins their work the first of September, it does not matter which a day of the week(except of Sunday). So, orphans came back from their homes to orphanages, continue their education too. Some of them graduated from orphanages already. Some of them got to the orphanage first time ever and they do not know the life there, everything is new for them. The new orphanage skills they need to learn.
It is new beginning in this year for us too.We do not know what will bring it for us, what will happen in future. But we are happy we can continue to visit these kids and bring Gospel to them, bring hope and joy!

So, these sweet kids we did not see during summer time because of holidays. We missed them soooo much!
Last Friday we were able to visit them.A teacher let us know, when they just came back from holidays they asked when we will come to them?or will we visit them again?
Teacher called to us and asked us to come, because children did not give her calm. :)))Anyway we were going to visit them. But when the teacher let us know, it have inflamed our hearts more!
But yes!Can we wait? Is not amazing when someone wait to hear and know more about Jesus? Is not amazing to see and hug them?Is not a blessing to be with them, these sweet and sunny kids? Isn`t a joy to see them smile and happy?

When they saw us.They began to scream "Look at who came!!!" They all began to run to us like bees to honey. We huged one other. They took our bags and helped to carry it.Children pulled our clothes or hands and said:" let`s go, let`s go to a class". It was so sweet!
So,we continue our travelling over Bible histories.Last Bible history they heard about conquering of Jericho. So, we continued the next story about Joshua, of the day when the Sun stood still.

In the beginning we congratulated children who had birthdays in summer.Yes, we know it has gone a lot of time. But is it a problem for an orphan who waits for a gift? Is it a problem for those who never celebrate their birthdays(even at homes) and not recieve gifts?

When we just came into a class, they already began to say who had birthdays in summer! We knew it will happened. :) We took few more gifts than we usually take with ourselves. They already waited for gifts!
Here our sweet ones who had birthdays. They were so glad to recieve a gift!Thank you Sabrina, who blessed orphans with many toys!

When we told to them a Bible history, we used a flannel visualisation.
Also we took several kids, who acted of characters, warriors. And the girl was Sun, who stood still one moment.
They did good job!
After Bible story we learned a Bible verse. When we learned the verse ample well.Children needed to play a ball and say verse in one time.It was real fun for them! They liked to play it!
A craft was very simple at this time. The sun on wooden stick and Bible verse on back of sun.But glitter makes this crafts shining and nice. When children saw it, they said, WOW! You know how children LOVE something shining.
The job of this craft we divided by two parts.
Children colored suns by paint in the beginning.Suns already were pictured on papers.

Until our suns were drying, we could to play a game.We called it,  "Help the sun to shine!"
The sun was pictured on big sheet, without sunbeams. The all sunbeams were numbered.
Children chose a sunbeam they wanted and  answered on question by number was written there. The questions were about history of Joshua.
After that they placed a sunbeam on the sun.
They LOVED so much this game! Especial, placed sunbeams. Sunbeams have sticky tape.It is easy to place on sheet. But the sheet we have covered by usual scotch tape that easy to separate sunbeams and that we will use this game in other orphanages too.And we do not need to make it again and again and again to waste time and material.
Our finished sun.We placed a glitter a little on sunbeams. When is the sun, it shine nice.Children love it!
After this game, children could continue their craft, as it dry up already well. They placed glitter, wooden stick there and pictured eyes and smile of their sun.
Here our sunny ones. Are not they sweet?

We tired a little bit but happy we came back to our homes. We had amazing time with kids and we thankful to Jesus for it and for these wonderful, precious and sunny kids!
