They have stolen our hearts

I`m super excited to share with you about amazing things in BOM! These orphaned brother and sister have stolen our hearts. ♥

Nina 19, Tolik,17. They are like a gulp of living water in the wilderness and a great encouragement for us! They are such a precious treasure! 

I'll start from the very beginning... Some time ago, our wonderful partners Ting Ministries asked to visit teens and learn about their needs. We prayed for the opportunity and the right time because of the busy schedule. And finally came the day of our meeting! We did not know what to expect... But after spending only one day together, we became wonderful friends and realized that we can not leave them... They do not have anyone who would support them in a difficult moment. :(

Nina and Tolik live in such terrible poverty that the heart shrinks with pain seeing everything and realizing how hard it is for these children to live alone. It overwhelmed and absolutely broken our hearts and we understood that we should to do something... I cried. My heart ached with big pain for these sweet kids...  They faced with loneliness. No support. Fear. Emptiness. Poverty. Danger. Without future and hope. And many more...

They often go hungry, having no means of subsistence. They do not have firewood for the winter and they often freeze even in summer because the house is very old and damp. The roof leaks when it rains and the ceiling can collapse at any moment.

Nina says that she goes to bed with fear going through so that nothing falls on her head. The young guy did not know how to shave properly and much more.

  Can you imagine how to wear winter shoes in +20 degrees with no socks? Tolik could not afford to buy even the cheapest shoes and a pair of socks. You would have seen his eyes and delight in having a new pair of shoes!

"We never had so much food!" Their eyes glowed with happiness and delight! Our hearts rejoiced, seeing the joy of these young souls!

When we said goodbye, they asked, "Please, take us to live with you..." Oh, my! This broke our hearts even more...

Very soon Tolik and Nina came to us. There was no limit to our joy! Very soon we were able to buy these sweet kids all the necessary clothes for the summer. We lived together as a family. Together went to orphanages, packed and gave gifts to graduates, played and spent time with children in orphanages, had fellowship with the church, cooked meal, prayed, read the Bible together, had fun and much more. 

In one of the orphanages the guys quickly became friends and the graduates asked,  bring Nina and Tolik to us again! :) ♥ So sweet.

A few days later they started calling us Mom and Dad. How lovely! ♥♥♥ They had appeared an appetite and they started eating a lot. :) They were shocked and surprised. Soon they even gained some weight :) Love heals!!! 

After spending only 2 weeks together. Tolik wrote such a touching letter, which made us all shed tears. Then the poor guy cried all evening...

Translation to the letter:

"Dear our friends. I am writing this letter so that you will never forget us. I know that we are not like you would like us to be. In these two weeks you became our parents. We never thought that such kind, affectionate, and good people still exist on this earth. Oksana, I appeal to you. I want you to always be so young, beautiful and kind always. Aunt Alla, you become us like mother. We will never forget your kind and wonderful smile. Your heart is big as the sun. Uncle Misha you are our father. You are wise and kind man. And I am sure that you will teach more than one hundred children of wisdom and God bless you. 

Friends remember you are more than believers. You will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts. We love you!"

Message from Nina:

"Thank you mom. We will do as you said. We love you and may God bless you.

I will pray for you and read the Bible. Maybe God will help me to become like you are..."

We ask you to pray for these precious young people, please! They have many difficulties and some dangers. So that God will solve problems that can hamper their future lives. That He would lead them out of the land of spiritual bondage as the people of Israel from Egypt. That God opened the door for them to new opportunities. How the Red Sea parted before the people of Israel. We believe that God has a special plan! But we need His guidance and almighty. To make a miracle in the lives of these two sweet young souls, who have became especially dear to us. Pray they trust their lives to Jesus!

Keep Teenagers Warm-New Project

Our hearts are broken completely these last days...So many precious souls need help and have very urgent needs. Our hope and trust is Lord Jesus, Who sees their needs and is capable to help orphaned children. Who loves them more than we can think. We have nothing but our God is rich. And Who wishes make miracles and in their lives and to bring perfect pleasure and glory to His precious name. 

We start an one of huge projects to bring joy to beautiful teenagers, who suffer a lot and need our help VERY urgently, friends. About whom our hearts hurt and worry. 

The 50 lovely souls, who stay at orphanage today have need with winter jackets and  footwear. Because their winter jackets are worn-out, children have grown up and it became unfit for use.Orphanage is unable to cover their needs.

Yes, those beautiful faces you see are in great need today!

Children in their temporary "homes" have no replaceable shoes, but only an one pair. Imagine how difficult it is necessary them and as they freeze in feet when their footwear get wet. There is no place to dry or shoes dry some days. If footwear wet and to wear, it to collapse quicker.

Do you know that orphaned children borrow shoes of their friends because they have nothing wear?!

Our purpose to raise $3,635 that to bless 50 beautiful teens with winter jackets and boots. We pray and very hope to help our dear ones to stay and feel warm this winter. We hope bring joy to these teens same as 60 girls with special needs were thrilled a while ago.Look at all those smiling faces! How amazing! Look at how were overjoyed other treasures! God was present there!

About the half of those teens will leave the orphanage forever and will start their "adult" life just in short 6 months. For all of them, this special blessing, will be only an one gift of love what will be their own and stay forever in their sweet hearts.

As the cold season came already, they already feel cold, and it is necessary to hurry up.  Therefore it is very urgent need!

We want to ask you to pray diligent for these lovely teenagers and about their needs. That God would show the mercy and that He loves and cares of them.

Time is VERY short!The earlier we will raise necessary means, the earlier we can bless dear children...It will help keep warm not only their bodies and feet but precious hearts.

Lots of experiences for a day and wonderful blessing

Yesterday in the evening an one young orphaned guy called me.
-How are you? I asked.
-Very bad.
-Something happened?
-No. I just do not want to live anymore and want commit suicide.With sureness said guy.
-Does anyone know about your decision? with great concern I asked again.
 -No. Only you.
I read as many as could Bible verses and said that is not good idea, Jesus loves him, he is not alone. God has a perfect plan for his life. In my head always was place of scripture (Jeremiah 29:11) "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end". 

After phone conversation I understood we must to do something and immediately!We were greatly concerned and felt helpless.We prayed all church and thank you very much all our friends who prayed for this guy.

So, went to him.At 9.30PM we all BOM team were speaking already with this guy trying comfort him and find out the reason. It was terrible that NO ONE did not know about his decision, no friends, no caretakers of orphanage. He is not talkative and never share his thoughts and feelings with anyone.This kid is quiet and never got in troubles. 

But depressions does not leave him, feeling alone, fear. He graduated orphanage this year and tomorrow will start independent life.He has absolutely nobody to support and help him during first time of his "adult" life!I can only imagine what felt this poor boy.

After private conversation we decided take him and his siblings orphanage out, make if only a little brightly and rainbow-tinted  their day.

So, next day, today Sasha and his siblings Grisha and Valya spent all day with us.Do you remember our "flower girl"?Yes, it was Sasha, her brother, such a young guy, who in a week will turn 19 years old. It is a heartbreaking and scary. It`s a very sad reality...

Kids were so glad to be out orphanage!At the beginning we dressed them. Can you believe all clothes you see on them it`s clothes of their friends? Their own they had only underwear. Poor kids. Thank you who sends clothes. It was so helpful!

Sneakers and sandals Valya had, they took borrow at their friends too.In the morning was VERY cold and rainy today!Brr!Can you imagine this beautiful girl in rainy cold day +12С( 53.6 F) in sandals?When Valya had put on sneakers. Oh, it is so warm, she said.She especially was happy having shoes.

But have not found shoes for Grisha. So, we went to bazar  buy something for him and few more things for Sasha and Valyusha.

We learned that Sasha does not have autumn and winter jacket. We bought today a wind jacket. We plan help him to get some more few clothes, warm sweater, autumn and winter coat, winter boots. If you have a desire to help this poor guy. You are very welcome! Just leave a note sending gift of love for clothes for Sasha. Thank you!

Then all got hungry. We wanted take them to McDonalds as they never been there. But today was so many people!So, we went to a cafe, as everyone was very hungry.
They get used to eat same food at orphanage always. So, they started to buy much food all kinds. I think they just wanted to try something new and bought lots of food :) Poor kids.

Then we went to a entertainment center.They first time ever went on the escalator. Valyusha all the time was afraid. Oh, I'm going to fall down. Oh, how it's not fall down. ;)

We showed them a pet store. They have been amazed to see lots of different animals.

Lots of different beautiful fish, snake, spider, chameleon, turtles and many more

 The most funny. Valya said, I never thought you can buy a cat! Funny girl. Well. In Ukraine you can see lots of running cats and dogs on street, everywhere. You can pick up any, if it does not have owner of course. Many cats and dogs are in orphanages and children feed them. Valya was greatly surprised, why you need go to a store and buy cat, if there on streets lots of free of charge :)

But the most precious teens LOVED a big supermarket! Honestly, we were surprised.
Wow!It is huge! You can buy so many food?!they said amazingly. :)))
So, we showed and taught them how to buy food, what choose etc.

 For some food you need use the weight. We showed and taught how to use it.

 Then was a practice. They took few bananas.

Valya used weight. She was a good student. Sweetheart learned fast and was so excited! :)

"Oh, that's a lot of chocolate! I never seen so many chocolate!" They were blown away! :)
For a long time they could not choose which chocolate they wish.Sweet kids.

When we walked this precious girl was so greatly impressed and asked. Do the store has ice-cream? When I will graduate orphanage(next year), I will come here to buy ice-cream.

Oh, darling you do not need wait a year to buy ice-cream!They were sooooo happy to get some! ;)

Grisha got lost seeing lots of ice-cream, was so impressed that could not choose. Precious kid.

Then they learned how pay for food at cashdesk. "Now I know how to do lots of things in a store, said Sasha. I do not afraid go a store any more." He was so happy!

So, these sweet kids have been AMAZED to be at store! Trust me. Just go to a store buy something it was something very special for them all. They always were greatly impressed by something or overjoyed.

I'm typing teary. Only a little thing can make happy an orphan. Just a simple thing can bring such a great joy to a precious soul, who deprived and has absolutely nothing own. Only something little what for us is ordinary and daily...

Spending all day with them we talked about Jesus answering their questions. When we were ready said good-bye, Sasha said. "I want to be with Jesus in the Heaven". Wow! Amazing! So, two brothers, Sasha and Grisha asked Jesus save them and change their lives. Oh, my!Can be a better blessing?! We were thrilled glorified and magnified God for such unexpected awesome blessing!

Yesterday we did not know how to help him, only comforted through the Bible and pray.Yesterday Sasha did not want to live but today he has a future!Oh, my! I still can not believe!

Please, remember him in your prayers. On Saturday he will go to a trade school, where is lots of criminal, alcohol, drugs. We worry about him. Pray God keep him away from evil and sin. Pray for all 3 kids  they grow spiritually, will come to know God more and He will become so real to them and they become new creations in Him. Pray for them as they have lots of emotional issues.Thank you!Thank you so much for your prayers and support!God is good!!!!

First time in McDonald!

What a wonderful and blessed day we had today!

An one great and awesome our sponsor sent donation for this purpose. So, today these young adults were at McDonald first time in their lives!Yay!

Yes, you read right. First time ever. After graduating orphanages most orphans do not have opportunity to visit this place. I do not say when they are at orphanages.

They were so excited!We had a wonderful fellowship.Praise God!What a blessing!

We have very nice and warm weather these days. Today was sunny and such a beautiful day. So, we decided after McDonald go to a park, where is river. Why not? :)

 Oh, how I love this little man!

It is such a privilege and blessing to see how he is growing.

 It was lots of fun :)

Precious little Andrew is growing healthy and everything is well. Oh! Have I told you that his parents, Sasha and Olga called him Andrew or Andriy, Andrey, on russian or ukrainian? (we speak both languages here) :)

 On the way home we saw a hedgehog. Everyone was delighted. Edik interested looked at  it. But it seems that he was not very interested. He loves more cats and dogs. :)

God's plans are the BEST!

We are so and so excited!Oh, how merciful and generous our Heavenly Father!!!! Our hearts are full of joy, sing and praise Him!

Only for a week we have raised $1,300 to help with personal care items teenagers and young adults in institutions!It's unbelievable!Praise God! Praise God! Only 4 people made it possible!Oh, my!

So, since this need has been met very fast and so unexpected. Our Saviour is amazing!

My beloved  friend Brianna, would love to help BOM with other fundraising. She is so lovely , (who always inspires and amazes me ;0) ) Christian very young lady, who has such big heart to the orphans in Ukraine. She leads blog CoverUpForChrist, and is very talented the owner of the Etsy shop, who supports BOM.

Brianna, wanted to help in Project with Care Items to Teens. This week she contacted over eighty Etsy shops and businesses.  Isn`t she amazing? :) Many people replied and said that they wanted to help,  over forty items have been donated! Wow! This is fabulous news!

Since God already has provided needed funds. God has the BEST plans! Does not He?  :)
So, this precious girl already has started another fundraising to help raise $3000 to hire caretakers for other 6 months in mental Institution, whom BOM hired recently.

New Year party

Do you see these beautiful young souls together?I am so excited to tell you what God is doing!

We had  New Year party at our local baptist church. Just would like to clarify we that we do not celebrate a New Year. :) But this is a great opportunity to gather together all friends and dear people.Summarize the past year, to share the blessings and the brightest moments that have been during the year, making plans for next year, pray for God's blessing and just have a great time with the children of God, to those who are dear to your heart.

The greatest desire was to gather our orphans and share the love of the Lord with all of them.A little sad that not all of course could come. We had over 12 young adults. Yay! Nevertheless, we had an amazing time!

At the beginning brother Misha as pastor preached. We came into New Year 2014 all church together in prayer!I love that!

Then we played different Biblical games, for those who are very young in Christ and knows a little Scripture and for those, who knows the Bible well enough.

And then at the end we had very fun time!

Everyone was so excited and had so and so fun!

Also we had  a supper of love.

It reminds me place of Scripture:  (Luke 14:16-17) "Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many. And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready." 

Bible says: (Luke14:12- )"Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor [thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
So, we called poor orphans :)

The supper was so delicious!And we had lots of food! :)

No, we had not eaten all at once! :) The next day we had a meeting again and again we continue the evening and fellowship. And then we gave all food to all the orphans. Everyone was happy!

It is interesting that in same chapter Luke 14 is the verse 22 "And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room." 

One of our orphans met a young guy, who wandered in the evening and asked the people to eat. He is homeless and living on the street. Sad, but he is graduate of an orphanage... Yes. This is reality. Without the support, these children live on the street, are survive and just disappear... Our guy invited him to this supper, because we had plenty of room!

He took a shower(we have at church for homeless) and gave him clean clothes.

This guy the name is Sergey, he has a lot of not only physical needs, such as housing and daily bread. We found him temporary shelter. But also spiritual needs, from which he suffers. Therefore, almost all night our pastor Misha spoke with Sergey about his life, about that he needs Jesus, which can fill of joy, love and happiness an emptiness that he has in a heart. We know that there is still a lot of spiritual work with this guy, still a lot of hours spent and not enough slept nights. But is not that what Jesus has called us ? Could you please pray for the salvation of this soul , of the change both his heart and mind.Thanks.

I like as one of our donors said, "I hope you have a wonderful party, that bellies are feed and hearts are full knowing Jesus loves all of them." And this happened! The spending time was absolutely amazing!

We had a wonderful fellowship!Some orphans first time in life was at church and hear the Gospel. Some first time in life had fellowship with Christians. Some probably first time in their life could hear and see how Jesus loves them and desires to change their life.

Thousands times thank you to those, who helped to make it happen!Jesus is so awesome!  :)

Amazing past 2013 year!

Wow! It's unbelievable that another year is behind. Time flies so fast! Isn`t it?

Looking through the blog posts and photos, sooooo much has happened in 2013 year. So many amazing and wonderful blessings, so much joy and delight. So many wonderful emotions and impressions. 

Some I even forgot ... It's good that all this is stored in the archive. But the most important everything is in the archive of God, in Heaven. :)

And it all happened thanks to you, beloved friends. Thanks to your participation and prayers, with your loving care and sincere love, many orphans were able to get SO MANY awesome blessings.You are AWESOME!!!
