Incredible 5 days!

During this educating year, we became very good friends with graduates of the 9th grade one of the orphanages. Every week we came and held Life Lessons. Teaching how to solve conflicts, how to behave in society, why it is important to take care of your body, what the Bible says about this and much more. Children leave from orphanages are absolutely not ready for independent life and meet with very many difficulties. With each meeting, we noticed how children change. They began to open up more, to share their experiences and problems, asking for advice. With each meeting we became closer with each other more and more.

Young souls from very poor families, where parents abuse alcohol and do not care about their children. They meet with hunger, violence, loneliness, humiliation, neglect, fear and much more. Many have not seen their parents since early childhood and do not know where they are... Some live with a grandmother who is very sick, barely walks and needs help herself. Some live with other relatives because they are afraid to go home. These sweet teens age of 14-15 years, leave the orphanage in a month. They are in fear, confused, afraid to start something new, there is no future, there is no hope... :(
We decided to invite them to live as a loving family and bring at least some joy and give them hope showing the care and love of Christ. ♥

The BOM staff lived with teenagers for 5 days. We ate, sang, prayed, spent time, had fun, taught the girls how to wash dishes, use the washing machine and much more! One of the girls said. "I am so glad to have a great time with you. At least I will learn how to wash dishes properly!" :)

When 15 souls live together, this is crazy! Ha ha!. "Alla, I did not take a towel with me." "And me and me." Four girls in one voice. "Alla, I do not have pajamas," the other girl. "Alla, I need a pillow." "Alla, I need a blanket." "Alla, how to turn on hot water?" "Alla, I have a headache." "Alla, I want to drink." Now I understand families with more than 10 children! :)))

On the first night I was sweating! Really. I felt very tired physically waiting for 5 hours until late at night, when the washing machine finished washing for 15 people. Sometimes I waited until 2 AM and barely alive got up at night to change clothes and shoes for drying so that the children would have what to wear the next day.

This time we saw a REAL need. We need another washing machine! If the Lord has promted your heart to bless in this, we will be VERY grateful! :) ♥ Donate HEREThank you so much!

Often, children come to us for the weekend and one washing machine does not cope. :)
This time there were many children. Only 10 girls in my house. One bathroom and shower. And you wait for two hours for your turn. That`s a problem. Lol. But I`m okay to wait as the girls enjoyed the bathtub at least a little bit. Since there are no bathtub in orphanages.
We have only two beds to sleep. The girls slept on three in one bed. Someone slept on the floor, someone in sleeping bags due to lack of bed. One girl N. is so tiny that she slept on the armchair, having put several chairs. It was very uncomfortable to sleep, but the sweet one was glad that she is not at the orphanage. And in this inconvenience she found joy.

Several, children came in terrible shoes and it fell apart from the rain. Thank God we found shoes! Brother Misha gave his shoes to one boy. How great that size fited! The kids were so excited!

One day we rode bikes. It was supposed to be raining, overcast and cloudy. We prayed and went to the beautiful waterfall with faith. We were lucky to see how the fish goes to spawn! It was so fun and another experience in the life of teenagers! It was getting hot. And instead of rain, we returned home with sunburn! Lol!
Although teenagers have returned tired, but happy and full of wonderful emotions!

For many years the children did not leave the orphanage and everything was for the first time for them! The orphanage is far away in the village, where there is nothing for entertainment. Kids often roam the grounds of the orphanage in wistfulness, not knowing what to do. This leads to depression even more. :(

The other day teenagers had the chance to go on a picnic. We sang psalms, heard the Word of God and ate the most delicious kebabs! We have cold and rainy days now. Again we prayed for a nice weather. And God was so good to us !!! For several hours the rain stopped, and we were even able to play different games and launch a kite! It was a real miracle! Praise God!!! All the children were delighted! For many teenagers everything was for the first time !!! For the first time in communion with the church, the first kebabs, for the first time in their lives, launched a kite, and so many Christian friends showed love and care.
We had an amazing and such a beautiful day! At the end of the day we had an adventure. The van would not start. But everyone was very happy and thrilled!!! Many thanks to all who blessed, brought so much joy to orphans and helped to make this day so special !!! 😍

Being in a zoo, you would see the joy and delight of precious souls when they petted and fed the animals !!! One girl said excitedly: “Oh, I’m ready to hug and kiss you!” The children NEVER been in the zoo! Can you imagine their delight and joy?!

We took them to McDonalds. Oh, how much joy it was! But since there was no place because of the crowd. We took food with us. The kids were so excited !!! "Wow! McDonalds. I've never been there!" Teenagers often repeated. We had to explain to the kids how and what to eat.

 To watch video HERE :)

We became wonderful friends! They are so sweet and soooo precious! Oh my! These beautiful souls have taken a special place in our hearts! I can not express all my feelings now! 😭 These INCREDIBLE days will remain forever in our hearts! None of the children wanted to return to the orphanage and asked to stay for a few more days ... It was hard to say goodbye ... 😢

The next day, one girl wrote. “When I returned home, I learned that my father was drunk and I had to go to the orphanage. I so want to get back to you! I love you very much! ” Tears. It is so heartbreaking ... 💔 They are abandoned, alone and unprotected...They are so very young to start independent life so soon...

Many thanks to all, who bless these sweet children! Many thanks to those, who give hope and future to these young souls! And thank you very much for the opportunity to not only tell, but also show the love of Christ !!! ♥ Although we are very tired physically these days! But trust me! It's worth it! Worth to see happy abandoned children! It is worth to bring incredible joy and delight in the life of young hearts! It is worth giving hope and showing the love of Christ! ♥♥♥

P.S.While I am typing this blog post. Two more girls asked about coming to us. One young lady asked: "Can I come to you for a few weeks? We have no water in the trade school for a week already. I can not wash and do everything necessary and it is very boring here, I do not know what to do..."

Weekends with a loving family

Often for the weekend graduates of orphanages from different regions come to us to spend time together. Often, trade schools are located in villages or very small towns, where there is absolutely nothing to spend time with your family or have fun with friends. Simply nothing! Children who spent their childhood in closed institutions, are accustomed to decide everything for them, what to do and where to go, often can`t and do not know how to manage time, do not have dreams, do not know what they like or would like. After school, and especially on weekends, these teenagers do not know what to do. Not surprising! After all, they were not given a chance, they never tried anything. They suffer. Often just wander the streets from ignorance of how to spend time. From despair, they either sleep all day or spend time in social. networks. Sometimes because of this they commit crimes. This is depressing and leads to even greater depression. Therefore, our visit to the trade schools is a special event for these sweet students! They are always very happy, always waiting and saying, thank you for not forgetting us! 💖

It is impossible to visit all schools at one time. Therefore, we decided to invite young people to spend the weekend with the BOM family. Since some have scholarship 400 uah($15.00). They can not even pay for a ticket on the bus. BOM pays their fare. Teenagers live with us for several days. We ride bicycles, go to an entertainment center, spend time outside, walk in the park, ride sleds in the winter, feed birds, play snowballs and much more. On Sunday, the children attend our Church, where they can hear the Gospel, comfort, encouragement etc. We eat together, pray, read the Gospel, mentor, teach and much more. The young adults learn to help each other, take care, and simply learn to live in a loving family.

And you know what? Thanks to this, we became VERY good friends with young people! 💓Thanks to the Weekend, we noticed a HUGE change in behavior, relationships and learning! Children began to open up and trust us more. Thanks to these special meetings and weekends, we have become especially close. These teenagers have become especially dear to us! God makes amazing changes in precious hearts! They call us "mother and father" 😊 It warms and blesses our hearts.
It is not necessary to give birth to become someone's mother. 😍

One day after a similar weekend, the next day, some guys did not want to come back to trade school. One of them even shed a tear... Poor guy.

Also, a 15-year-old boy came in one day to say goodbye to us to go back to school, but he spent the whole day with us instead of being with his family. When, I asked why? With a sad face, he said. "And what's the point? Mother is drunk, she don`t need me. She has her own life ..." The young man has no father. It breaks our hearts to a million pieces.💔 They are very, very young and it is very hard for them without support!

About 15 teenagers are expected next week. It will be crazy 5 days! But we are so excited! At the end of April and at the beginning of May there will be a few days off. For us, this is a great opportunity to gather young souls and have a great time together! But only for food we need $500 to feed such a crowd! Nadiya, is a great cook. She always cooks to eat for young people.

If the Lord promts your heart to be part of the amazing changes in the lives of these sweet children. If the Lord gives you desire to bless and feed the hungry so that the orphans can spend time with the BOM family. You can send your gift of love through Ting Ministries.

Thank you very much! Trust me, a weekend with a loving family is an incredible joy and a huge blessing for many precious souls! But we cannot do this without your participation!😊 Every gift is invaluable!May God bless you!!!

Hope for little Elijah...

Our hearts are absolutely broken these days...I can not find words to describe what we feel these days. My heart is squeezing from indescribable pain. It beyond words... My eyes are full of tears.  It hurts. Very much...

Many of you know (from Facebook posts) about the situation of the little Elijah and thanks to God's grace, many hot prayers and generous donations, the kid is still alive...

About six months ago or so, the kid was an active boy, played games, laughed and lived like all the children. But over time, he became worse. We began to notice strange things in the behavior of the little boy.

We saw how he got worse every day ... The boy was very tired, every 15 minutes there were epileptic seizures, because of seizures he could not sleep, he started talking badly, there were days when his body refused food, he could not swallow and all the food went back, the body did not obey the child, he could not walk, fell constantly, could not sit, began to lose sight... He was in intensive care many times for this period... Not once we thought that we had lose little angel...He could not breathe and the doctors used an oxygen mask. Doctors fighted for his precious life. Thank God, he is alive today!

It is difficult to convey all the pain that we experience in these difficult days, and especially the parents who both are orphans... Elijah has been found the brain cyst(not confirmed today), and then Rasmussen's encephalitis. Inflammation of the cerebral cortex.

The doctor gives a disappointing prognosis and says that everything is very bad ... 😢 And he told the mother to prepare for the worst ... The condition of Elijah deteriorates VERY quickly...😓 Day by day.. The situation is VERY critical. The little boy slowly goes away...We know this baby from the first months of his life. And it is scary to think he may will go away today or tomorrow...😭 Elijah is slowly dying...

The doctor says that Elijah is the first patient in his practice, which makes it difficult to treat the boy. Doctors fought for his precious life and did everything they could ...

Later little Elijah was sent to Kiev for a medical examination,  further and better treatment... He became worse... Besides all the terrible symptoms, the little boy has a pneumonia...😥

For today, no medications help him. The neurosurgeon doctor says that sweet boy needs to do the surgery, delete half of the brain because the medications are powerless... He says if the surgery is not done then the other part of the brain will stop functioning as well... 😰😭

We need to raise $4000 US for a med.tests, a surgery, on medicines, diapers, food, transportation, consultation with specialists and various expenses. His mother is scared of the surgery very much. No doubt it would be scary for any person...

The neurosurgeon in Kyiv said that he had already operated on several children with encephalitis and the surgeries were successful. Children live a full life. His first surgery he did with a specialist neurosurgeon from New York. They are ready to operate Elijah in November.

He also said that the boy can be sent to Germany for treatment and they give direction. Next week we meet with specialists in neurosurgery from Israel. Please, pray that God will give wisdom and the right decision.

This week, little boy is being prescribed to go home to treat pneumonia at home(he can`t be in touch with kids and there are no place at hospital) and get ready for surgery so that he is healthy and ready for it. If he is sick with any infectious disease the surgery will not take place.

We do not know what the Lord prepared for this sweet family. They are going through a VERY difficult time now. 💔The Lord knows all the experiences and HUGE troubles... We pray that God will arrange everything and send Elijah where he needs to be.

Many of you love this precious angel what is a great encouragement for his parents. ♥♥♥ Please, keep praying for the healing of the poor boy. That God strengthened the faith of parents, give perfect peace in hearts and gave them the strength to go through everything. His mom Stella feels exhausted from sleepless nights. Also, that the Lord will open His will in the treatment of the baby, for wisdom and right decision of doctors, and for the needed funds. PLEASE, pray for a miracle, God`s mercy to the precious boy and his family. Pray for God’s glory to shine upon Elijah that God will be glorified through this situation. His precious life is valuable and in God's mighty hands...
Your prayers mean VERY MUCH for this sweet little boy and his family!

Waiting

Some time ago we have started a huge and wonderful project to help renovait the housing for sweet Kozak family. So, the housing repair is over. Since the family is big, and the room is small, we had to make some furniture to order. Oh, yes, by the way the kitchen is ready and can be used! :) We are waiting for the sofa. Also we ordered a wardrobe and 3 bunk bed, since there are three boys. Shhhh! Just do not tell Olga and Sasha! ;))) Ha ha!
So we are waiting... It is need to wait about a month. We hope that in a few weeks this family will move and will enjoy having their own cozy and lovely nest. I just can`t wait to see their joy and admiration! Super excited!!! ♥

The beginning is already done!

Repair in the house Kozak family has already begun! What a great joy!

First. We would like to thank absolutely everyone, who takes part in this huge project! Whoever prays, donates, shares this need, any little participation is very important for us and especially for this beautiful family! We collected all the necessary amount of money! Praise God! Thank you soooo very much!!! Many, many thanks to all, for your generosity and kindness! YOU are AMAZING!!!

Second.Repair has already begun! We had to hurry up to the cold and severe frosts to make a window and door. That workers staying warm could continue the rest of the internal work. There are still a lot of work to be done!

Honestly, I'm a little nervous and feel overwhelmed to think things over, do all the right things, conveniently and functionally. In fact in this room there will live 2 adults and precious 3 kiddies. Prayers for wisdom and quick work will be deeply appreciated! :)

At the same time, we are very excited and happy to help this poor family have a roof over their heads and their cozy and lovely nest! ♥

The whole Wedding and Thanks from Sasha and Yana ♥

Here are a few photos and video of the whole wedding of our lovely Yana and Sasha. It was a super sweet and amazing time! ♥
Since the young couple did not have money for the wedding, they thought only to register their marriage and receive a blessing in the church. We decided to make a surprise and make small wedding for the newlyweds. Why not? ;) We played games, sang songs, showed funny and amusing sketches and enjoyed delicious food. Everything was just great! Also, BOM presented the washing machine to young family. It was huge surprise and their joy and delight was not the end! It touched and warmed the heart to see them so very happy! ♥♥♥
We are so very thankful to everyone who helped to make this day so very special and memorable forever! They felt loved. This special day will stay in their precious hearts forever! Thank you very much!!! ♥♥♥

Look, at these happy newlyweds and how love and joy is radiated on their faces! ♥ Their thanks :)

Sasha: I am grateful to all and the church for everything that has been done today, who helped us. We did not have the money, and we could not even think that we are celebrating such a beautiful day. We are blessed with many gifts and necessary things. We are grateful to all who helped us! And we thank Alla, who helped us with the choice of clothes. She went shopping with us everywhere and helped us. Today, we came to the church to receive blessings, changed with the rings and the church gave us a real holiday. We did not know, and even could not imagine what would happen and we are very pleased. We came to church and it was made a happy day for us! Thank you very much for all!

Yana:I would love to thank you for the wonderful gifts and the beautiful holiday that was done for us with Sasha. I did not expect.  I was very pleased and blessed my heart. Thank you for all the blessings and everyone, who participated in this. Thank you very much everyone!

Lovely Nest for the Kozaks' family

We are super excited to start a new HUGE project!Renovating housing for Kozak family! ♥ Yay!

Ok, we'll start from the very beginning. WHY this is VERY important:
  • The young family has 3 beautiful kids. Sasha and Olga, both orphans and without housing. Most of you know this precious family :)
  • Sasha Kozak has a property. I will not delve into the details of the laws and stuff so as not to confuse you. But this room in the dorm belongs to him. Some time ago we wanted to help make repairs and settle his family there. But this was impossible for many reasons. Now after a few years, it became possible! Praise God!
  • If the family does not settle in this room in the near future. The state will take Sasha's room and this will bring even more problems and worries. Because no one lives there now.
  • The family will not have to move every year from the apartment to the apartment. This happens quite often for various reasons.
  • BOM will not need to look for housing for this large family every time.Nobody wants to rent an apartment to a large family. Even with one child. This brings many experiences and difficulties for the Kozak family and the BOM team as well.
  • Thanks to this, we can help many more precious souls who need housing. In the house where Kozak family lives now, a young family can live, and several other young ladies, one of whom expects the baby soon.
  • The most important thing. The young family will have their own housing! Although small but their own. Where they will feel settled and safe instead insure where they will live next month.
With God's help, we hope to raise $3100 The room is abandoned and it is need to do very, very much! The money will be spent on renovating the room, in particular walls, ceiling, new windows, doors, new electric installation, etc. There is no electricity at all. Also there is an opportunity to make a tiny kitchen. After repair, it is need to buy/order new furniture for a young family. Olga has long been dreaming of a bunk bed for her boys. Will we make a surprise together? ;)

Can you imagine the admiration and joy of young family to have their own lovely nest??? What a wonderful blessing to have a roof over your head! ♥
