Little fishermen

Recently we visited orphans at orphanage and  had such a sweet and lovely time with kiddies! We were not able to visit these precious souls for a while. Because we have been super busy with so so many things to help many others. :)

Oh, my! You would see how all children were happy to see us all! They flew as bees to honey! Lol Hugged, kissed and asked lots of questions. So sweet.

So, we continue travel on Bible with children learning about great heroes and many amazing God's miracles.

This time we talked about fishermen of Jesus. So, children were like small fishermen. We prayed, sang song, telling Bible story about fishermen of Jesus and played games.

One of game we called "Catch a fish" Children had to catch a fish(balloons) with help of a net. Win that one, who catch most of "fish". It was fun as everyone tried to catch as many as possible fishes.

After Bible story we have been learning a place of Scripture (Luke 5:10) "And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men."

Children caught numbered fish in the water, and then the number what they are caught, that number of the word, they placed.

In the end we had a fish craft. I really like this boy's reaction to the craft! :)

Kids really loved and enjoyed it greatly!

They have been so excited they could eat what they made!

We will have the same craft next time, too?they asked :)

 I was surprised children still remember what crafts they made a while ago and they could eat it. Sweet.

Some young adults(supported by BOM)  seeing the craft said. "Oh, it`s so cool! When we will do the same?" Ha ha!

Special day

Yesterday was a special day in our ministry and my personal life too. :)
Because a year ago we have been on conference in Kiev (capital of Ukraine), where were speaking about children with Down Syndrome. This conference has changed our ministry and our personal lives too forever!
I`m exciting much about that! I just am awe-struck by God's amazing timing!I am just awe how our Lord Jesus great, wonderful and amazing God!Only He is admirable alive God!

We received  a HUGE information about children with DS! We are so thankful to Meredith, who a year ago invited us there!

Today we minister more to children with special needs.Yes, we need to learn sooo MANY things yet!
But we are happy much for what God has made a year ago!It has changed our minds and hearts.God has opened our eyes on sooo MANY things! We just HUGE grateful Him for that!And it is amazing!

We did it!

Yes! We did it! We are so rejoicing of this God`s blessing!
We bought paint for orphanage. We bought different colors of paint they needed and paint for a floor. But paint for floor was not in warehouse(where we bought paint). I think probably now is summer and everyone make repair. :) Any way we have paid for that and employers of orphanage will go to warehouse next week  and will take all paint to orphanage, we paid for. Administration of orphanage have a bill of paid paint. It is in twice more paint for floor, big jars than on picture.It is a lot!

Administration of orphanage was rejoicing of that much. Do you know what they told us? They said: "You came and bought just in time! Slava Bogoo!"--Praise the Lord! They need to be ready in two weeks for special inspection.We were glad to hear it how God is doing everything in time and unbelievers praised the Lord for that!

Also God has blessed and yesterday was wonderful weather!Praise God!Thank you for prayers!  We could to did dye different installations of playground.
Until we worked there kids were curious much. They asked what  we are doing and many different questions. They showed us a song with movements we learned with them before. It was so sweet! Also we bought and gave to them different sweets. Ah, they are so cute and sweet!

There are many installations, we worked all day long.We tired very much and came back to our homes only after 10.30 pm.It was hard working day but blessed. We are so happy and blessed could to help orphanage! Did we dye all? No.There are still a lot of work!

We hope, if God`s will we will come back to orphanage to dye some more installations or building inside. We are not sure yet, because we have schedule for a month for other orphanages.We would like come back to help again and administration requested us.So, we will pray and see where God wants us.Where we most needed.

Administration of orphanage not expected it, they were surprised and glad of that we were able to help! The playground looks much better than before! Other constructions inside of the orphanage where workers did dye too, we did not do pictures.We are so sorry. We worked all time until it became dark and every worker has gone to home.Everything was closed.

God cares about orphans!

First of all so sorry i did not post for a long time. I have some good news for you! But before i was very sick several days and was not able to do many things.It took me more days than i thought.Any way i`m happy our Lord Jesus is so good and He healed me and i`m able to do what i must. Praise the Lord!

I would like to share with you a blessing we received today! We are so exciting and thankful to the Lord! Jesus loves and cares about orphans!Oh, how He is amazing and great!

God sent today a HUGE many toys to kids!They are different sizes and kinds, animals and little cars to boys!WOW! I can only imagine how they will be happy to receive these gifts! Also God sent different crafts items: paper plates, metal brads, google eyes, crayons etc.
And even the team received a blessing!:) Peanut butter, dry cherries, hot chocolate etc. We love all these goods!Oh, thank you Jesus!

Thank you, Sabrina!Thank you to those who helps and cares about orphans in Ukraine! May the Lord bless each of you!Thank you for love to orphans and being of the hands of Jesus Christ!!!

DEEP GRATITUDE!

Dear friends, followers and readers we are so deep gratitude to each one who took a part to help us in Special Project to graduates!

We have $525 for orphans. Is not amazing it?! Is not a blessing from God? Is not it a miracle? This all would not be happened without all of you! Thank you so much on behalf of ukrainian orphans!
Thank you so much for your prayers and donation! We cherish each your little step in it, each prayer and each donation!
We  worried some what we would present to kids this year?We did not know what to expect. What will happen?

But our Lord Jesus is wonderful and great God! He is soooo good to us!He blessed and we can help orphans! Thank you soooooo much being blessing to orphans!

We already bought gifts to all 81 orphans!Wow!It is great! And tomorrow we are going to visit 2 orphanages what will have graduation.Please, pray for these children.They need our prayers all time.

Tomorrow i will post pictures of presents to orphans and tell more about it.Thank you so much! Our hearts are full of gladness and we are so happy! What a blessing we have!It is amazing!May the Lord richly bless you!

Thank you so much to each one for prayers! last few days we had a great time with orphans!God is sooo good to us, He blessed and we had amazing time and journeys! We could to visit 3 orphanages!Tomorrow we are going to visit some more kids!

Testimony of former orphan

This is the testimony an former orphan who passed through  many troubles and worries in her life before the Lord sent her a loving family.Here she is talking about town Zhitomir where she was growing and orphanage where she was.We are so happy to know she has a family! Praise the Lord for His mercy to this beautiful girl who has the family today where she knows as to being loving and be protected.

All what she says many orphans pass through the same or similar situations.Each orphan has their own story...

We are thinking about orphans who still are in orphanages, who still do not know how to be in family.How to be loving, be understanding, protected etc.We are thinking about orphans who soon will leave orphanages and have to pass through many troubles that to survive.

The half of our BOM team are former orphans(Misha,Oksana, Alla). We know what orphans will pass through that to learn something, we know how they feel, many fears, worries, lonely, homeless, troubles etc.Misha, director of BOM has been in jail twice after orphanage.No one did not help him, no one did not visit him until he was in jail 7 years.After orphanage he needed to learn to survive.He did not know how to do right and what to do right.He did not know about the Lord, Who could to help him, if he would ask Him.No one did not tell him a good word, only humiliation he felt, no one did not teach him how to live, how to find friends and many, many another things.

That is why our BOM team tell and teach orphans about Jesus Christ, Who can save and help in many problems, give piece and comfort in heart.Who can help pass through many trials in their life.

Yesterday we have been in orphanage and we have learned the 3 of 9 graduates do not have a place where to live after orphanage!Can you imagine it? Can you imagine that after few weeks you will be on street alone and homeless?...

Teachers of this orphanage worries about them too.They say: "It would be a great if someone would to help them after graduation!"

Another orphan who graduated a year ago from same orphanage.He was trying to enter to any school or college, no one did not help him.Today he is alcoholic and lives anywhere...He is only 16-17 years old!

A month ago we have learned an one another former orphan who graduated another orphanage what we visit regularly, he got to jail already.It is even a smaller than a year gone after his graduation!
It tears our hearts and blow our minds!It is hearbreaking to hear and know it, especially when you know these kids...Oh my God, please help these kids!It is terrible!

That is why our dream is to have a "home" for graduated orphans, help and teach them, protect from many trials what we passed through.Our desire is to help kids, as much as  we can...

Long day (part2)

This post is continuation of our long and blessed day which we had last Saturday.:)

Part 2

So, after we finished Bible lesson in first orphanage, we jumped into the van and have gone to another orphanage where kids were waiting too!
When we came to the class was very cold!Because the weather was chilly.We noticed,when we touched to children`s hands, they were cold. We became cold  little bit too.

But even we cold a little we had a blessed time we had with them!
In the beginning our meeting  we prayed.

                                          After  we sang with children.

  Then we had object lesson.
It was a game.Boys needed to drink a milk.Who will drink milk first, win.It was very funny when most of children yelled up  for one boy but had win other boy.

You may ask, why they have to drink milk but not water or something else?

Well, on this lesson we told them about little Moses.We thought it will be good for kids to know a little bit about babies.They can not eat meat, they need milk.Mother has to care, feed, protect etc. her baby. We have talked how God protected and saved a baby Moses.

 Yes, these children grow most of their time not in their families.Some things they know, some do not know how to be in family, to be lovely, be protected, have enough food etc.But we have to teach them what we can, do not hidden the truth.We have to teach what Bible says.Sometimes it is really hard that will not hurt their hearts.We try to be careful as much we can.We need wisdom all time.

After the game children could to hear a Bible story how God saved baby Moses by pharaoh daughter.

 

 Here girls have played daughters of pharaohs and mothers of Moses.Mothers have hidden dolls(babies Moses). Daughters of pharaohs had to find babies.We took several girls for this game.

Here we have played a game to find out a Bible verse.

We wrote each word of the verse on a small size sheet of paper, rolled it up, and inserted it into a balloon. Children bursted up the balloon with the paper inside.It was same game as we played today in Korostishev. We only inserted Bible verse into balloons.
Oh, how they were glad of this game!

Each of kid tried to burst up balloon by different ways.It was very funny! Here is a short video of small boy.Is not he adorable?

When children have burst up all balloons and have found words of verse.We could to learn this Bible verse."The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul." Psalm 121:7

Orphans do not have Bibles.It is very sad...Our dream is to present to them Children`s Bibles with pictures.It will help them better to remember Bible stories what they heard, read and to know more about Lord.

One more game.We divided all class to two teams.A child had to hand over basket with baby Moses to next child. The river Nill was their hands.

The mess because of crafts.:)Children made a craft, baby Moses in basket.

We came back to our homes late but happy!Yes, we  tired a little but not so much.We were glad!We were glad to see these sweet and adorable kids!We were glad spend time with them and tell about God!We were glad they have desire to hear and to know more about our Lord!We were glad to see each of them!We were glad for opportunity to visit them!

And we are so grateful to the Lord for long and blessed day we had!

A day with special boys

What a blessed day we had today!Our Lord Jesus is so good and wonderful! We were able to visit today mental institution for boys with special needs.We had gorgeous day!

In the beginning of our trip we had a little adventure.On the way to mental institution we jumped into the hole on the road and in few minutes we had lost a circular plate for van. :)

We had stoped and looked for it.Praise the Lord we have found it in few minutes!

                              We could to continue our journey. 

When we came to mental institution, we divided all boys to two groups.First we had meeting with older boys and after that we had time with smaller.
Oh my goodness how they all were happy!The smaller kids could not wait to come into the class and to be with us until we had finish with older!

Today we have spoken about resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In the beginning of our meeting we sang several songs using guitar.Oh, how boys love it!

 

After we sang a song with movements about resurrection of Jesus Christ.They did very well!

 

 We told to them very simple and short a Bible story using flannelgraph.

 

Also we colored pictures.They really enjoyed that!

But one boy was not interesting do something.He has broken the new colored pencils and crumpled a metal box for pencils!Ah! we just bought them!Well.It is our mistake. He does not understand what he is doing...We needed took to this orphanage our old colored pencils which we have a little bit.Here children break and tear everything.We were so exciting our trip that we forgot and did not think about it.Usually we are ready for everything they can do.But this time we missed it.Next time we will be more careful.

In the end we gave bananas to boys.Oh, how they were glad!They ate it just in moment, very fast!

 

We could not give to boys a whole banana.It would be expensive for us.You will ask how much it cost? We paid for 45 bananas about $19. We have to save  finances as much as we can.Also we paid $20 for petrol to visit kids.

We divided the whole banana to two pieces and gave to children. And they enjoyed it!They really were soooo happy!We are glad to see their happy eyes and smiles on their faces.

We would love to give to them all kinds of fruits each time when we come to them!

                           We had little more time and we played a game.

                          They enjoyed to throw a ball to the bucket.Boys did it really good!

Did they were happy?Oh, yes! Are we happy!Of, course!Why? Because we could to visit abandoned and forgotten by people these poor kids and bring to them if only little gladness.It brings to us a lot of pleasure if only a little bit to bring to them a little light in their dark life...

Each time when you see these kids you can not be unconcerned.Many things what you see crush your heart.It make you afflicted when you see these rooms where they spend all day long sitting on wooden benches or on these beds.No hope, no future, nothing...

 

This boy is all time chewing something his mouth.Everything that can chew his teeth.This time he was chewing a some dirty toy.Probably he is hungry often?..

In dining room we helped a little bit to feed children.Really it very heavy to watch how they eat...Some of kids  eat a meal by their hands.We explained and showed to them they have to eat by spoon not by their hands! But it was enough only for a moment...Need show and train many times...

It is heavy to look as they with greed push food in their mouth and swallow without chewing.How they eat big piece of food and everything is leaking on their clothes...
It is not because caretaker is not good or she does not do well her work.It is because she is alone but children are many.She can not do alone all her work.It is really hard work!

Really we tired much today! We lost all our physical power and strength.But we glad we could to see them today and it was blessed day!

As Bible says:"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." 
Isaiah 40:30

Tomorrow we are going to mental institution for girls with special needs.Please, pray for us!
We need wisdom and new strength...Thank you!

The letter from God

The Letter from God it was a topic our meeting with teens in an orphanage on Thursday. Many people love to correspond with different people.Some people love to receive letters but do not love to answer.Some people love receive and answer to them.Letters can be bad and good.God wrote longest letter to us  people. It is Bible.He wants we read it, because it brings to us piece, comfort, encourages.If we do something wrong His Word convicts us in our sins etc.and most of all important we can get salvation reading the Bible and accept Jesus Christ in our heart.

Orphans love to correspond also.We think it would be a great if some one of you would be correspond with any child or all class! You can be a friend any Ukrainian orphan or orphans. It will be good practise for them.Because this way they will learn several things: how to write letters, practise or learn English, feel responsibility etc.Also they will know some one love him/her and pray.You can be a Friend  of an orphan this way?What do you think? :)

We had wonderful time with children! We remember we worried some about these children.Will be they come to these meetings?..Because there are many hard children elder age(14-16).Some children smoke, drink, escape from orphanage. 

Director of orphanage was upset because he did not know what to do, how will interest elder children of something.He loves children and try to do their life better how he can.He asked us to help him.We prayed and worried about it.We let him know we are not God, we can not change many things.We will try to do what we can.

We have some ideas how will interest children.It is can be very simple thing.For example picnic with orphans in forest or beautiful  lake.Or take bicycles and go to beautiful nature.We have a lot of nice places.We do not need to go far away.There is beautiful river, forest, rocks close to this orphanage.Of course if they would go to any  excursion it would be GREAT!

In this time children can will open their hearts, we can be close to them, be their friend, sing songs, have lunch, have nice time etc.We know children love this time much and will remember forever.It can change hearts of orphans.We do not have enough fundraiser for it. We need  to pray much and beg Jesus to help...

When we came to orphanage, smaller children have waked up. When they saw us, they started  jumping and waved their hands, knocking in windows and called us go over to see them in their bedroom.It was funny!

They all asked: "Have you come to us?"Oh, dear it is hard to say to them "no" when you know they wait for you.They upset in the beginning when heard it.
We explained that tomorrow we will have time with them too. Because we have Bible lesson with them each Friday.And they said aloud "YES!" They know this English word.They all so sweet! :)

                                                          It is their bedroom for girls.

So, this Thursday we had more children (32-35) than last time!Praise the Lord! Really we did not expect it! We were so glad! Dear Friends, it is answer on your prayers!

Some elder could not be on meeting, we called everyone, age of 12-16 who wanted to be on meeting.Some children asked us can they be on meeting also?Because they knew we came just to teens, elder children.Is not a blessing when a child want to hear about Jesus Christ?We hope they will continue to come in future also.

Well.In the beginning our meeting we sang several songs.They love to sing and they love guitar!

After that we have spoken about letter of God, Bible.Also we all journey in our life.Our journey start when we were born and will finish in eternity. But it is very important to choose a right direction our journey.Bible helps us in it.God left there rules which help us find and go to right directions.

It is same as road markings help driver find a right direction and get to point he necessary safely.If he will fracture road markings,he will have a trouble or will have an accident.We showed to them road markings.

Also we explain to them when we are going to any far away journey we need to be ready, take clothes and things which we necessary every day and put it in our bag.Same is we need every day our journey of life faith, prayer, obeying of God, forgiveness, read Bible, love etc.We can not live without these things.As driver can go astray without road markings.Same we can go wrongly.We necessary all this things in our life each day.

By the way do you know children in orphanage do not have their own things?They do not have own soap, shampoo, towel, gel shower.About gel shower, they even do not know what it is.Girls do not have deodorant.When they have shower day, they have two bottle of shampoo for all class, one for boys and second for girls.They do not have exchangeable shoes.They have to wear one pair of shoes several years.Same is with clothes.We pray that we can present to them something they will have own.Can you please, to help?..

                         After that we sang again and had fun time.

In the end of our meeting we had sweet time.We gave to children sweet water and different cookies.We did not have  a lot  but children were glad!They swooped to sweets like birds! Some of them did grasp and started to hide cookies in their pockets.We said no, no!Each one have to eat same portion of cookies.We spent only $10 to buy water and cookies.We did not expect will come more children and we worried it will not be enough for all children.But we were wrong! It was enough to give to each one and kids were glad!Of course, they would like more food!

                                                 Here children asked more water.

Children asked us Gospel tracts.There it says how you can be saved.Our dream is present to them children`s Bible.We are not able to buy it.Here(where we live) it cost $5 and more.It is unreal for us.We have many children.Probably some one have opportunity to send children`s Bible on russian or ukrainian language??? They understand two languages.It would be GREAT gift to them! Oh, how they would be happy to get this special gift!

When we were going to home, children told to us goodbye, we noticed a girl who had a doll.She said it is all she has, only one nude and broken doll.She has not a toy or game...There are a lot of same children...

We had wonderful time with children and thankful to the Lord for each child who could hear the Gospel!Praise the lord for each day and moment to be with them!Everyone was happy and we also!Hope they will remember everything they could to hear that they will accept and apply it in their life.
