Our dear teenagers

I would like to share with you what the Lord does here. Your donations not only bring joy, make a smile on faces of teenagers, but give hope and faith that someone loves them and cares of their needs. ;) God loves orphans. Many thanks, Friends!

BOM provides not only necessary food, personal care items but necessary clothes and footwear, to those teenagers who needs it.

But the greatest our blessing, is that these teenagers can study the God's Word and visit our Bible Baptist Church services.

I very much want to tell you about big joy and blessing which we have!

Once, a teenager came to Bible studying and started to laugh at what our teens did. He sneered and spoke, and do you really believe in these fairy tales, that God really exists? When we gave to him to read a Christian tract about salvation, he refused flatly, having told, I do not read such. It was fun for him. We tried to be with him polite and not to pay attention to his roughnesses, invited him to join etc. But he left... The next time when there was a Bible studying, he ran in room and ran out many times, turned again, overheard etc. But he didn't join to group of teens. 

Behavior of this guy was not good, because of it he had many troubles in the life. Lost work, could insult seniors, not good words, offended girls and much more. We prayed for him that the Lord would touch his heart and changed his life.

So, the next time he took a chair and stayed listening to God's Word, nearly a half time of group!It was surprise!
Today this guy not just visits ALL groups on studying of the God's Word, but he also visits ALL services in our Church(3 times a week), he edifies children and teaches them to be serious on the relation of the Bible, :) he ceased to humiliate and offend seniors, he is nice with girls, his behavior absolutely changed. We are surprised and so excited! Nobody simply doesn't recognize him! What a joy! What delight! Look how God's Word can change the person! Hallelujah!We are soooo happy for him!!!Great!

The God`s voice

Thank you so much for your prayers I asked you yesterday.We had such amazing day today too!God is so good!We continue to have Bible lessons in orphanage which we visit every Friday.

We had not a lot of children as yesterday. :) Because many children still had not come from vacation to orphanage. Many of them stay at homes.This orphanage has many social orphans.Who usually have a one parent or even both, who do not care and neglect of them.The reason alcohol abuse and drugs, jail, homelessness, prostitution, violence of kids etc.Often parents are deprived of parental rights.It`s so heartbreaking and so sadly to see and know that parents are not interested in lives of their kids. And they grow up without love, undefendedness and lonely...

That is one of  reasons why we bring Gospel to orphans.Let them know God loves and cares about them.I love this verse."When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." (Psalm 27:10)

 We were so much surprised when we remembered Bible verses which we learned before. Many of them remember and we repeated it again.We were so blessed to see and hear it! They do not have Bibles.So, we learn verses with them and repeat each time that will stay in their hearts forever.Each time we add one more verse what we learn during a lesson.

What a blessing to see when a child wants to learn and hear God`s word!

 At this time we spoke about little servant-Samuel, how he heard God voice.The topic of our lesson was how it`s important to learn and hear God`s voice in our lives.

 Before Bible story we had a game which was object lesson.Honestly saying, I thought they will not like much this game and will be bore.But I was wrong. :)

They loved this game so much!Wow!And asked to play more and more!

We became in a circle having joined hands and revolved telling certain words, a small quatrain. When we revolved and spoke, I showed on the child which should tell a certain word. They could change a voice. At this time there was a child blindfold which should guess  who has told this word. It was very amusing when some children couldn't guess a voice!It was real fun!

Children watched a cartoon at this time.But before that we had read story about Samuel from the Bible.These kids are not able go to church every Sunday.They can not imagine about ministry at church, how a choir sing, how preachers preach etc.So, we try to accustom hear Gods` word from Bible.

We have talked with director of this orphanage some time ago that some children take to church if only sometimes.After church ministry we would feed them and return to orphanage.Director is very willing.But we are not able for now.So, we pray that some day God will hear our prayer.

 Next we sang with children a song about Samuel.Oh, how they liked it!Even when we made a craft, they listened and sang it again and again.

After that we played a game where children should to give correct answers to questions about Bible story.I was sure they will like this game.And yes, they LOVED this game!It was soooo fun!
We named game "to Feed Samuel".When kiddies just saw a picture they began to laugh because little Samuel looks funny. :)

They chose a paper feeding-bottle they wanted.Had Read question and gave answer.We helped to read for those kids who can not read or not so well.But really there are only several who can read well.

And blindfold should place a small bottle than more close to a mouth of Samuel, feed him.

Well, that is our poor Samuel in the end of the game. :))) Kids sooo loved this game and laughed very much when they placed in wrong place a feeding-bottle.

When we repeated the song again, we learned a Bible verse, words what little servant said to the Lord. "Speak, LORD, for thy servant heareth." 1 (Samuel 3:9)

 

And in the end a craft as every time. :)

A poor boy has broken hand, he tried to color but could not.So, Oksana helped him.

This boy is cute.Isn`t he?

We had a girl about 12-13 years old.Nadya helped her to make the whole craft, because girl can not color and scissor out even a very simple pieces. :(

 

Children were amazed by this craft because it`s unusual.The craft is unusual that there some parts that can be moved. When eyes of Samuel open, they can read a verse that have learned in advance. When eyes of the boy are closed, the verse hides. They so rejoiced when could move craft parts. When they have made, they cried out. Look at this! Look eyes of Samuel opens and closes! Wow! How cool is that!

So sorry do not have a photo of that.I will try next time to make a photo in other orphanage. :)

Here are kids with their crafts.

Ok.Next picture of girl, who is our new friend.Other class(group of kids) who come regularly could not come for meeting so we called other group.They were first time at this Bible lesson.They were so MUCH excited and amazed!Oh, how they were glad!!! I even can not find words to describe how they were happy!!!

Also they asked much to make a photo with them.Really,I did not want because we have thousands. :) But they pleaded much.I saw how they were excited by being with us.So,I agreed.This is Alyona, who is like small kitten snuggled to us.

 

Taras is not new kid but he is sweet boy too.

At the end new children asked, will you come tomorrow?We answered, no.They asked again, maybe you will come on monday?When we said next Friday.They said: "Oh, it`s so long to wait!Please, come back soon!We ask you very much come back soon, please!"

It was so sweet and warmly to hear it and we were surprised.It melted our hearts.:) Isn`t God good?

Long wonderful day

Do you see such big crowd? We had probably over 160 children and  many caretakers at one hall. Wow! We were so blessed to visit this orphanage!There about 180 orphans! That is a lot!We were so happy to share the Gospel with them and say amazing Bible story about Jonah.We had such blessed and wonderful time during program! Everything was absolutely amazing and perfect!!! We are so thankful to Jesus!

I have so much to tell you!I will try to say everything in series.
We have spent all day long to be busy with this orphanage!Before spending time with orphans and telling them about God we have helped them.We bought everything they needed for school supplies!We were so happy to help them and enjoyed to buy everything.
Director of orphanage were amazed and soooo thankful!She says teachers often go to her and ask everything what they necessary for a lesson.But orphanage has not finances for it.How she can help? There are many kids who have many different problems, needs, etc.And director do everything she can to care about them.

So, anyway we are VERY thankful to those who donated for school supplies and has blessed this orphanage!
We are thankful to you that you shared with these kids love of Jesus Christ and his care about orphan`s needs.We are grateful much!

As this orphanage has children with special needs.Teachers were so happy to receive these gifts, supplies what they can use to teach children, develop them, open their talents etc.We bought not everything they needed because we could not find and shops do not have so many supplies.It is necessary to order.So, we bought what we could find and most of it.

We bought liquid glue, furniture lacquer,tool equipment for work with wood, metally meccano for little kids,and different tools which I do not know and do not remember names. :) Also gimps and 10 meters of cross-stitch canvas for girls.I think it is enough for whole year!These things only for lesson labor training.

And also we bought 4 big sheets of plywood.But they are such big size so we could not place it to transport but not ours. :) So,we have paid for it, left bill to administration of orphanage.They necessary only find a transport that will deliver plywood to orphanage.
So, sorry do not have picture.We did not know that it will be such big size.And we thought make picture at orphanage when we will buy everything.
 We bought plywood that children under the guidance of  teachers will make games for children, for their development.It can be  lace up games and many others.We have these games for development of children  but they are very expensive.So, decision of director was to make that to save some finances and children can learn to work with wood, as their program demand of it.I think that is very good idea!

Here is example of games what children can do.That is not exactly as these but similar to them.
What do you think?I think that is superbly! That is only example.

By the way we would love to ask you.Probably some one of you have games or colorful book with animals, cars, buildings etc. those what you do not need? Even it will be on foreign language that is ok.Children can learn by pictures. Please, can you send to orphans here what will help them in their education and development?I`m sure caretakers and teachers would appreciate it very much because they often have nothing.Thank you!

Finally when we bought what we could, as I said above almost everything, we could have Bible time with children.The time there was absolutely amazing!We received so much emotions, applause, smiles, hugs, kisses and much more!Kids were amazed by everything! Even caregivers came up to us and thanked. Oh, it was so sweet! We are so blessed that we could to share the Gospel with so many folks in one time! What a blessing!

In the beginning of meeting pastor Misha could to read  the Bible and shared the Gospel as on picture little above.After that we could to have our program for children.

The whale "swallowed" our Jonah. The little boy played in story very well.Everyone sitting in hall liked it much.

Next were games.The first game was already beloved by many kids in orphanages during our travelings, to catch fish in water.As you remember we learn Bible verse with kids by this way about obedience.

As every time a lot of those wishing to play!

We even had a girl who began to cry because she did not play at this game when we finished.Well, children are so many and sometimes you can see all of them at one time. So, that she stop to cry we took her behind of our puppet stage and several fishes placed to our bowl. She hooked a one.Really, I do not know was it good but she was so happy! :)

Next picture where the team is giving candies to kiddies.These precious ones were not at hall when we had program because they had nap.Until we finished with everything, we wanted to find them and give candies too.Everywhere was very dark, no light, only pitch darkness outside. It was so funny when we have found them in darkness by their voices when they were singing. :) Oh, how they were happy to recieve candies!

By the way we could to visit more little angels who are sooo sweet and we adore them!They are age 3-8 year old.They could to receive candies too.

And we could to play with them a little.Ah, they all are so cute and precious! Just want to hug all of them!

Look at this sweet small one how she is happy!This girl has Apert syndrome.She has a high-arched palate what brings her trouble to chew.Also she has not all fingers or they are webbed. Same she has webbed toes on her feet...But she is very communicative!

Look at this cute boy! Is not he sweet? He is 4 years old and still does not speak...Mom left him when gave birth and he arrived to this orphanage from baby home several months ago.

Poor small boy...He needs mom and dad who will love him and maybe after he will be in loving family, he will begin to speak.
That is why he huged and kissed pastor Misha.Oh, that it was so sweet and you want to weep over when you see it.We whole team were amazed to see it!

We believe in miracles!We know one little girl who did not speak for a long time even she was 4 years old.We prayed for a long time and she began to speak!What a miracle! All staff of orphanage was surprised because they did not believe she will speak when ever!

Do you see these next sweet angels?Are not they just cute these 2 small girls?
We have prayer request and plea to help small Alyona, who is with white long hair on right side.This little precious kid was 6 times sick of pneumonia during this year.That is terrible!!! I do not know how she is still alive, only by mercy of our Lord Jesus.
We ask you to pray for her that God will keep her in His arms and give her well health.

Also we PLEAD you to help with good medicine for little kids.Please, can someone send some medicine what will help children have a good health and protect them from different sicknesses?Please, please, we beg you!Director of orphanage do everything she can, but as very often happen,there are not enough finances...

Next small angel about whom we ask you to pray much also.This small sweet girl has a problem with appetite.I`m not sure but probably her name is Vika.The problem is that she does not eat because does not want.She was at hospital diagnosed by doctors.They have found nothing what bring a trouble for her to eat.They say, she is healthy.But why she does not eat?Can some one tell me?

We have found her mom is sick by schizophrenia and her father drinks.I think the reason why she does not eat because she feels herself unwanted and unloved...

Yes, she is only 4 years old, she does not understand many things but as every child she feels that she is beloved and she needs someone.She needs a family who will love and care about her...

Orphanage has not finances to care and medicate this small girl.The staff of orphanage has told us horrible situations when this small one scared them, when she ate nothing during 3 days.It happens often.They thought she will die.She eat sometimes piece of cookies or something like that.But as every one understands what will happen if you will be eat just cookies or little bit same food???

As orphanage has not finances, the staff donate when they can and buy some medicine to help this small angel.But it is enough only for a week.We had little bit money and gave to caretaker to buy this medicine that save her life.

We plead you...Please, can you help this small girl to help have a good appetite, send some medicine or donate, that we can buy here.Whatever you will think it will be the best for her.One pack cost only $9, it is enough for a week.

Tomorrow we are going to visit these small precious ones again.We would be very happy if someone will donate if only little bit to help small girl.You can donate $1-5-10-15-25 and more...Each $ is appreciate!Please, can you help her?Thank you!

Talking about Joshua

Finally I can share with you the last meeting we had last week, on Saturday.As I promised before to tell you what we did there with children.Just want to let you know.We visited several orphanages this week too.We had such blessed and wonderful time with kiddies!I have so much to tell you!But really I do not know when I will do it, because it is very heavy to find a time for blogging and being busy here. :)
But I love very much to share what God is doing here, in ministry and personal life of BOM!I love very much to witness to people about great things God is doing, because only He worthy of praise, honor and glory!And I`m really exciting much to share with you all about small or big blessings because many of you are part of these blessings too!And many of you really are interested in life of orphans, praying for them and helping in their needs.

When we just arrived to the orphanage, children began to run to us and say how they missed us.We did not see them only two weeks.We did not visit them a week before because they have been busy by their(orphanage) work at this day.(We have been talking with administration of orphanage before).So, we decided do not go there, as it would be heavy for them with time.

 When we saw each other, we all were sooo blessed to receive hugs from them and hear: "we missed you!", "why you did not come last Saturday?", "what happened?", "we have been waiting for you!". Ah!It was soooo sweet!!!

So, we had regular Bible lesson in this orphanage as usually.We have been learning with them about Joshua.That to be exactly the story of the day the sun stood still. This story comes from Joshua 10.

Do you know that in Ukrainian and Russian Bibles the name of Joshua has two words of his name? It confuse children a little.

It is as Jesus Christ, is meaning --Isus Christos(Russian and Ukrainian). Joshua is-- Isus Navin. We explain to children that Isus Navin that is Joshua, he is not Isus Christos(Jesus Christ). He is other person. It seems that of two Isus(Jesus) Bible has. :)

We sing with them their of one favourite song, I`m soldier of Jesus.As this song is with gestures, they really love to sing it and are rejoicing by it, especially boys!

 Nadya was telling story about battle when sun stood still.Boys helped us to show the battle.Oh, how they loved it!!! Especially to hold swords!But a girl was playing the sun.

It is so funny to hear when boys are asking: "Is it real swords?" And all of them want to play by that.
They LOVE  very much to play acting of Bible stories!

After Bible story we learned a Bible verse.When we learned enough well verse for them.They should tell verse and to strike with hand of ball at the same time.It was fun!

 

As our craft needed a time to dry.We gave paper sun to children and they colored it by paint.

 

 

 They were busy by their work and it was quiet.I love very much when they are busy by doing something. They are learning something to do, developing, opening their talents and they can see I can do something. And it helps them to be sure in themselves.

While their crafts were drying, we could to play a game.Where they gave answers to questions about Bible story.Who gave correct answer had right to place a beam to sun.

 They enjoyed very much by this game! We were amazed that they gave all answers correct! It is such blessing for us!

 

It was so sweet to see how older kids helped smaller ones to reach a place for beam.:)

Their suns already has dried and kiddies could to continue to work on their projects, crafts.They placed glitter to beams of sun.But as they love very much glitter some of them placed it not only on beams but  on whole  their craft!


What a mess was in class! You could see glitter everywhere.Some children have put it on their body, hands, faces.It was so funny to see it!They were so funny! Of course, we do NOT give glitter at their hands, we control it!!! But sometimes it is heavy to control such big crowd in one time :)

 As kids do not have their own Bibles, we try to do crafts with Bible verses. So that they can keep of their crafts and remember Bible verse we have learned during a lesson.So, this craft had verse on the back side too.

 Vitaliy is so sweet and kind boy! He helps us often during a lesson or to carry bags or collect things or something else.Isn`t he sweet?

When children finished their work, they were amazed and so excited by their crafts! They were running everywhere and showed their schoolmasters their work.They LOVED it so much and were happy to have it own!

 Boys love very much to make photos!They are really smart!And sometimes you think this place is not for them...

 In same time when we had Bible lesson, Sasha and Lyuba had meeting with teens.They had about 25-30 teens!Wow!It is so wonderful! Is not blessing from the Lord? They have talked at this time about God`s love.How is important to follow Jesus, to show God`s love to people and much more.During meeting they learn Bible verses too.Also Sasha gives assignment often to learn Bible verses to a next meeting.He prints it and gives to teens.

And after Bible time they had fun.As often teens are very active and love to play games too! :)

We had such blessed time with kids!We are so thankful to Jesus for opportunity to tell the Gospel to orphans, teach them right things, discipline, friendship, about great God`s things and His acts in Christian lives, give them our love, bring joy and hope and much and much more.We are so happy and thankful to Jesus!!!
