A new beginning?

Hello Everybody!

I don't really good in updates in blog lately and I really miss it  :( We had some serious difficulties in ministry recently and I was not able to update... It was a tough and very hard time! Thanks mighty and merciful God everything is behind! Our merciful Father made a remarkable miracle! Our God is God of wonders!!!!!

Here I would like to speak about our beautiful young lady Yana.

  While Yana was study at the school, many young people have been invited and visited our local Bible Baptist Church. It was such a joy to see young souls at the church and share Christ love with them! I have noticed Yana is very communicable and finds very fast contact with young deaf people. Some of them visited our church as well. They would like come back but no one in our church does not know Deaf language, signs. So sad :(

  I learned signs about 13 years ago at a Bible college. An one American missionary taught us the deaf signs for several months and we even practised and visited local Internat (orphanage) for deaf children. I could have fellowship and it was so exciting we understood each other! 

  I remember well our teacher (the missionary) told us often. We have to teach deaf signs and repeat often. You never know how God can use you telling a deaf person about Christ. "Oh, this not for me", I thought :)  Now I am so sorry I forgot absolutely everything! Oh. Bad girl. 

So, Yana led deaf young people to church. I told her several times. "Maybe God wants you learn deaf signs and tell your friends about Christ?" "Oh, no, no, this is not for me!" answered the young lady. 

This past Spring we learned that she can not study at school for cook anymore because of new law and changes of some paperwork. She faced with a huge problem and could be send kind of like a mental institution or Internat for disabled children. Poor girl was very scared! Everything we could, only pray and ask for God`s mercy. 

One day, she approached and asked me, "Why God is doing it?"  "I don`t know. I don`t have the answer... Maybe God has another plan for you?"  I answered trying to comfort her.

NO one, ANY school did not want to accept Yana! Through some time, lots of paperwork, medical exams, lots of meetings, calls, was found a place for Yana. You won`t believe and I believe it will make you smile. Yana will be study at Internat for deaf children. :))) Only this Institution agreed to accept her! So, now Yana must learn the deaf language :)  When we have been talking with her recently again, she said, "I understood it is what God wants I do and it is His will". 

Yana will be study for a year at 12 grade. After graduation we hope she can come back to school for cook and finish her education. Now young lady learning signs and is doing really good.She got a little knowledge, while was at the school for cook and had fellowship with deaf young people. Now she improves and learns more. 

That is not all! We have been in the Internat and had meeting with director, administration and Yana`s teacher. They all are so sweet and so kind people! We were so blessed to know what a beautiful people work at this Institution! Do you know what?! They invited us tell kids about Jesus! It can be regularly meetings. Same like in orphanages! What an awesome blessing! Because by the Ukrainian law you can not speak about religion in schools, Universities, trade schools etc. 

BOM is so blessed to share Christ love in government Institutions(orphanages)! 

So, for now we do not know yet what God wants we do. Maybe in future when Yana will be our interpreter?  New beginnings? Who knows? :) 

 For today we ask you about prayers. Please, pray God continue to burn Yana`s heart in learning deaf language. God give the opportunity to invite deaf children or adults to church and lead them for Christ. Also, God shows clear His will to us concerning Internat for deaf children. Thank you!

I am so excited to see what God has in His plans! :)

Ukraine’s first university student with Down Syndrome!

This is so awesome!!!! This is happening in Ukraine today!!! 

19-year-old Bohdan Kravchuk from Lutsk in Western Ukraine is a first year student in the history faculty of the Lesya Ukrainka East European National University. Given the general attitude toward people with Down syndrome in Ukraine, this is absolutely astounding news! Can you believe it?! :)So excited for this young man!!!

The fundraising finished!

Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU very much!!!! Our fundraising for Kristina and Kolya to help with their education is finished! God provided all necessary funds and we raised $2,480 only for 2 weeks!It`s even less than we planned!Awesome!

Thank you very much for your help in fulfilling their dream.What a great blessing for these two beautiful young souls.Thanks alot for your little and big donations. Your seeds of faith give a future for these two teens.Many thanks for your great kindness, showing love and support for these future students.

Will they have a future?-New Project

Each year orphans leave orphanages and each year they face with the same trouble to get an education or find a job and find housing.Each year these kids fear to leave their temporary homes. They do not know what wait them behind of fence and walls of orphanages. They do not know from what to start, where to go, whom to ask. They don't know where to live, go to study.Who will help, who will give advice, who will support?

This year these 2 sweet kids, Kristina and Kolya, graduated orphanage. They faced with a huge challenge in their life, where to go? They can not enroll at to any college or school, because they both studied at orphanage for kids with special needs. As you know, these children are most vulnerable and socially unprotected in Ukraine...Do you remember what a great trouble Masha faced?

But they as many children, dream... dream to get an education. They both dream to be the cook.

When we started to hold Bible lessons at this orphanage and visit kiddies. We had no idea that God had a plan. That BOM will be provided and continue support graduating orphans. :)

They grew

and became beautiful young adults...(Kristina in light blue sweater)Their teacher said that both Kolya and Kristina love to help in the kitchen.

They can enter at an one lyceum- boarding school for the disabled, who agreed to take them. But they should pay for her tuition and living expenses. This is impossible and unrealistic as they leave orphanages with empty hands, only a little their clothes and items BOM provides. The government will not help. All the more today`s war in East of Ukraine... It's necessary $2, 480 for the year for both these young adults. For each $1,240. This blessing will go for their education, life in dormitory and food. They will not receive a stipend as students. 

So, here we are to ask about your help...On behalf of orphaned children we ask you kindly and with humble hearts to help Kristina and Kolya get an education. Our hope is ONLY Jesus that He would provide all necessary funds, if it is His will.They both still do not know or will be able to realize their dream. Because they do not have funds. Will they have a future?..

We know them both for many years. It would be such a blessing for these beautiful young adults, if they have some one, who can help them in their challenge. It would be so wonderful, if they could continue visit our church and continue hear the Gospel, find Christian friends, same, who were in orphanages and whom BOM supports today. Can you help, please?Your little donations, seeds of faith, would be greatly appreciated.

Only one day for a miracle...

We have only one day... One day, that the Lord do a miracle to help Olya with education. Because August 31 at 9:00 am, we should meet with this poor girl and pay for her tuition, living and  help with food. We have to pay for one month. We need only $189.00. 

God has NEVER left us, even at the last minute! The Lord gives me peace in my heart. I believe that something is about to happen... I just do not know what to say to Olya, when we will meet with her ... "Sorry. We can not help you. We did not meet your expectations..." 

What should I tell her?I do not know.I do not know how to look her in the eye on that day ...How to wipe away her bitter tears and comfort?

Will I tell her that the Lord has answered your prayers and poured out his boundless love for you? You can learn and get an education, attend to church and to be with your Christian friends(BOM), who know you for many years. Will she be able to rejoice and praise God in that day?

But she HOPES! She PRAY. And BELIEVES she will fly out of the house, where she suffers abuse and violence. Fly out and start an independent life. She beg and plead of God to help her realize her dream. She is SO excited and waiting for a miracle!

We kindly ask you PLEASE, support our sister in Christ in prayer that the Lord would have realized her dream, defended and keep from evil. Please, would you help this precious soul give a future and hope?Would you pray please, God will pour out His blessings to this beautiful girl?Would you pray, God will show His love and care of this treasure?Our hope is only God.

It`s inspires me!

Recently I watched a video of this man with autism who absolutely stuned an entire crowd.I was amazed by his voice!But more to know he has AUTISM!
It`s absolutely amazing!When listening, it touched my soul, gave me goosebumps and tears were flowing to see this moment in this young man's life.
It`s inspired me so much!Those who have disability can do things if others that do not have a disabilities can not do.By the grace and faith in God they can do it, if we give them a chance they can do anything!

 

 I was going to share it with you days earlier, just did not have a time. :)


And I was inspired MORE again by family who has a cute little boy named Noah yesterday! That is incredible what a wonderful work they do with their son!It is such inspiring and a blessing to see and know what God can do in lives of people!I was so thrilled and happy to see it!

 Many months I cleck an idea in my heart.I think often and realized we need do something.I have a burden in my heart to spread the word about children with Down syndrome in mental institutions and orphanages where we minister. Employers know NOTHING about these kids! Than more I watch videos, read wonderful blogs about adoption of sweet kiddies, read information.Other words than more I learn about these special kids than more I realise we must to tell people about it in Ukraine! Yes, we tell our friends, church members etc. that these kids can be adopted, they can educate, even work,to live on their own lives or even marriage and many different things.You should see reaction of people! Really?Are you serious?

After watching this video my heart catch fire again.Than more I think and realise, than more my heart is beating.

I do not know HOW and WHEN.But we should to tell staff of orphanages and mental institutions.I have several ideas.Give information to staff of orphanages, show pictures, video of these special kids, have special meeting with them etc.We hope after hearing of information they will change their hearts and relation to these kids.We need to think over much, we need much wisdom, God`s hand and many prayers.

I have some idea but do not know or will it work out ...Time will show. :)

But one I know and I`m sure we MUST to tell people about kids with Down syndrome!People in Ukraine know nothing!

A wonderful visit!

Last week we had amazing and wonderful visit to girls with special needs!God has blessed and we had such great time with children!

I`m so sorry I did not post earlier.I could not do it because of many different  circumstances here.I was going to do it every day but it was heavy to find a time.Hope you understand.I`m so sorry again!
And yesterday when I almost finished, I needed to publish it, the internet itself had disconnected.I could not call to service, it was too late, at night time.

So, finally I can share with you the amazing meeting we had and God`s blessings!I`m so exciting to tell you about ALL blessings and how is good our Lord Jesus!

Before spending time with girls we have presented school supplies to the orphanage.Yes!Finally we could do it!Sweet friends, you needed to see how staff of orphanage was happy!They were amazed by that and thanked much!

We thank each of you to being blessing to this orphanage with school supplies!We thank you for each prayer, for each donation, for each any step you did to bless these children!Thank you so much to help them in their need and bring joy and happiness to them!Thank you to being light of Jesus Christ in this world! Just big thank you from bottom of our hearts!!!

 This is not all.We brought to them an educating literature what helps to teach kids.We gave it to them, that they look at that and chose what they need most and how many.And after that we would buy and bring books they need.Well.We did not expect reaction as that.They have run to these books like birds to bread!Ok.We thought to help only small kids(with books), they have here younger kids not many.But teachers of older groups heard about school supplies and about education books, they have run to a room very fast, where we had meeting. And they pleaded us to help them with books.

 You may think why teachers want to get these books much? Here is answer, because they have nothing!Can you imagine how they can teach children with special needs, not having any books, not having any teaching aids, not having any things what can help to educate these children? It is very heavy! How children can learn to read, math, develop, etc? I think it is unreal! 

 

Dear and sweet friends, followers, supporters and just guests, with heavy and overwhelmed hearts we plead you to help this orphanage with books they need.We need $1014.Yes, it is very big sum! But there is bigger need with education books for 90 kids.It is includes our project with school supplies.We have $112.5 from your donations for school supplies.We need still a lot. We ask you to help in this need.Orphanage do not have finances for these books.That is why they ask us much to help them.

 After that we could to have meeting with girls!Oh my goodness, what a blessed time we had!I even can not explain to you how children were happy to see us and how they were excited by everything!We were soooo blessed at this day and we praised the Lord for His mercy and to being soooo good to us!The day was such amazing!

We had Bible time and have told them Bible story about Jonah.How he did not obey God and ran away from Him.

 Children were amazed by seeing our whale!But they were so much impressed more when we turned on sounds of sea, sea-gulls and voices of whales!It was so beautiful!

 They were amazed and asked often what that?"What that?" They never heard voices of whales.It was so much interesting to observe their reaction!We hope they will remember this history for a long time.

 

 After Bible story, we have learned a new song with them, with movements about Jonah.They loved this song!

 We worried that it will be heavy for them probably as it is a new song.But they did it very good and they enjoyed by this song!

During a meeting we repeated it several times that they remember good.

 And we had fun time.We played a game.When music was playing. children passed on one other a toy dolphin.We did not have a whale.We think dolphin or killer whale it was good too.:) Thanks God, it came in time.

 

 When music stoped and a child who has a toy in this time needed to give answer on question about history about Jonah.We call this game "Hot a potato".They loved to pass on the toy much!It was real fun!

 And we learned a Bible verse too. "...to obey is better than sacrifice..." 1Samuel 15:22(b)(KJV)
We took only some part of this verse that they remember better, because here children with special needs.

Girls did catch a fish.The verse were written and hidden on blackboard.The fish were by numbered.Which number of fish they catch, this number of word we opened on blackboard.This way we played and learned verse.Also some fishes had surprises.We were going to play this game with small children.Some small ones could not be with us at this time.:(

But we were surprised when older girls wanted to catch fish too!It was not easy sometimes but very fun!

We had a moment during our meeting when they asked Jesus Christ saved them.Is not amazing?Is not a blessing?Is not our God good? Praise the Lord!!!

 Girls wanted we make picture with all of us together and our whale. :)

 Ok.Next several pictures are girls with whale.They loved it so much that all they wanted to make picture with him. :))) We have hundreds pictures!Here are only several of them. :)

 

One more blessing we had, that we could to witness about Jesus Christ to several workers.We praise God and thanks Him for this opportunity!

The 5 girls were sick and could not be with us.They were in isolated room.

 

 It is such sad place.Girls get here when they sick not much.When they sick much, they get to hospital.

In this room is nothing except beds.

 No toys, no books, no other furniture, nothing.They lie on their beds all day long and get medicine when nurse give pills in time.It is how they spend all day there, lying in bed all day long, nothing to do.

 We pray that we can help this orphanage to leave here something, that will help girls to be busy while they sick.It can be puzzles, coloring books, some games etc.

 When we left orphanage, girls waved their hands and watched through  windows, as every time.It is so sad to leave them here.:(

Next week we are going to 4 orphanages, if God`s will.In two of them will have Bible lessons as usual and in others two, to have program and bring school supplies we have.Here and here.

A literature or teaching books for children with special needs

Here on picture, what you see are education books and literature for children. 

   These books help teacher to teach children.Also these books are what children use at schools. Using  these books, children learn to read, write, math.These all books for healthy children who study in usual schools.

  In Ukraine you will find hundreds and hundreds different education books and literature what helps teachers and pupils.Also so many publishing firms here what print and publish thousands books for education of children.That is very good!

But you will not find any book or literature for children with special needs...And that is BIG problem!

Recently our sisters looked for teaching books for children with special needs.They have been in biggest store of books we have.And seller-woman were surprised to hear questions about special literature.She said, she never heard some one asked for literature for children with special needs and this store never have sold something like it.This store is biggest store in our region!That is very and very sad.

I would tell that children with special needs do not have education.But I can not tell it exactly, because children in orphanages get education.But this education is very and very poor.I can not tell it is "education" because Ukraine does not have special educational program for children with special needs.

They use teaching books for normal kids, because they do not have others.

But anyway I do not want to speak what Ukraine has or not, what she does or not for children with special needs.I want to say about our desire and idea which we have in our hearts.

We think what if some one will send to us educational good books for children with special needs, what to help to teach them read, to write, math etc.

 We would find translator, who would  translate it to Ukraine language.After that we would be to print it and to present to orphanages who do not have any literature.Think about it.Can you imagine, what a blessing will be for teachers, who do not have ANY educational book and not just simple but for children with special needs? Can you imagine it? Children would get much better education they have now!I`m sure it would much help orphanages! It would be great blessing for administration of orphanages, teachers and for children!It would be something amazing and incredible!

Yes, it is NOT easy!Yes, it is required a lot of finances, people who would agree to help, to translate, to print etc.Yes, it takes MUCH time.But, think about result!Think about orphans who get very poor education and think about teachers who do not have ANY literature.We need it only for a two orphanages.
Think, about how we can show God`s love to orphans and the light of Jesus Christ we can show together to staff of orphanages too.

Yes, probably it is more heavy than we think.But we have burden and desire in our hearts to help orphans get better education and enjoying their life as much as it possible.

Yes, we have nothing! But we have God who can do something!  In His word He says:
 "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"Jeremiah 32:27
Who knows maybe some day God will answer our prayers? :)

For now we begin to pray about this great need. Will you join us in our prayers to Jesus?Will you pray together with us?We would be very thankful!

And we do not know what are good foreign educational books.We would very thankful if someone would to help, to find something and let us know.Or someone know good teacher with special needs and can speak with her/him, ask to advise something good.Thank you!

Probably some one have better idea.We would glad if you share it with us.Or just let us know.What do you think?Is it real to do it?
