With teens about friendship

Here is updating about one more meeting we had with teens recently.We had wonderful time with them!As all time, God is good and blessed us by great time with those who are need Jesus Christ too.I won't speak here much because of lack of time.As I would like to tell more about other meetings also.

 We had Bible time.Our the focus of the conversation was about friendship that Jesus is the best friend. It was sadly that some of kids have not friends.It`s heartbreaking...It`s heavy to be without close friend(s)... :(

On picture is Nadya telling Bible story about David and Janathan to teens.They love it! They were amazed that Jonathan presented to his friend so many gifts.

 

 Also we had fun time

 Teens love to play! :)

 But most they loved to shoot the arrows!They were excited sooooo much and everyone wanted to try how to use bow!We call this game, "to be as Jonathan".
As from the story about David and his best friend Janathan we know, he presented bow to David because he delighted much in him.Jonathan is great example of friendship.So, teens were as Jonathan, shot arrows, when he was into the field. (1 Samuel 20:35-42)

 Boys were amazed and thrilled!

 And girls also.

 We had great time with these teens!

 As orphans are lack of shoes or they have it in horrible condition.

 
We brought these summer shoes which we had left from mental institution.
 Aren`t their smiles are precious?

 We were so excited to bring this blessing to children!What a joy!Administration of this orphanage was very thankful!

Update about project

I`m very exciting to tell you that today at night we are going to one of biggest bazars in Ukraine, buy gifts to graduating kids.Same bazar where we bought recently Gifts to orphans.You have to remember how God blessed and we had successful journey :) Same bazar where we bought gifts to graduating kids a year ago and we had wonderful shopping too.

   This project, Gift to Graduates is not finished yet.We still necessary to raise fund, to buy blankets to other children.We are worry that we can be not in time.Because of Euro 2012 and next almost two weeks will be holiday in Ukraine, what bring a trouble for us with shopping and visiting orphans.So, we decided to go and buy everything for that we already have.These holidays, end of the education year, Euro 2012, sometimes is heavy to organize everything, be in time, to visit orphans, etc.

   But anyway we are VERY exciting!!!As I told you before, we already have enough to buy kitchen utensils to all 80 orphans.Also we already able to buy 29-30 blankets(depends from a price). What a great blessing!Thanks everyone for your prayers and support!God is so good!Your some donations were so generous!It brought for us so much joy, tears of happiness and glory to the Lord.

   I`m just wonder.Will bless our Heavenly Father this shopping and project as a year ago.Our dear and beloved friends made a blog to raise fund, whom we will be forever grateful.They enclosed all their efforts with all their hearts to help orphans.Thank you so much, Courtney and Brianna!Also some of you have been part of this project and have to remember how God greatly blessed this journey and shopping.We saw and felt your sacrificial love and care, your sensitive kindness and mercy.

  And this time and this year we just wonder and already excited.Because we see God`s hand in many ways.We see how God opens sweet your hearts to help our dear children in their needs.We appreciate each $!!!We see and feel your mercy love and great care!Thank you, dear Friends!!! We simply do not have enough words to thank you.We never would not have so many wonderful blessings without all of you!

   Please, will you pray we have successful and safely traveling, as it is long trip?Please, pray God will bless and we were able to buy blankets to other children.Time is running out... And we have very and very short time.We still necessary to raise fund to help others.

He was a street boy...

    When his parents divorced, he was still the child. And it affected his further life. Soon he appeared in an orphanage. Absolutely lonely, with the injured heart, parents forgot about him. It seemed that the world was gloomy and gray, cold and cruel. Nobody will listen to your awful pain, nobody will hug, won't tell warm words. Tears, pain of heart,sorrow,grief, misunderstanding, lonely with empty heart.It seemed that all forgot also everyone was occupied with the vital affairs, without paying attention to the guy which so needed a consolation and love. 

   Time went... Time came to leave the orphanage forever.When he left walls of the orphanage and came back to home.He saw that the house was empty. His mother lived with the girlfriend drinking vodka thinking of nothing. Nothing disturbed her. The heart pain of the broken family, complete of loneliness and pains, she tried to find a consolation in vodka. She  circumfused her pain by vodka and to forget about everything forever. Soon she became to nobody the necessary to suffering of alcoholic abuse. The father lived with other family.

   The house, where returned this guy was empty and in an awful condition...There was no light, water and gas. The service came and cut off everything for failure to pay of utilities. Windows were beaten, without glass. In the house there was no food. It is empty, there is nobody. About the house that is the house, only reminded memories and known things.
   Shocked from seen, from pain and fear in heart, tears began to well up on eyes.He sat down on the iron and broken bed, clasped the head by hands and started to cry bitterly. The big fear filled his heart, pain, loneliness. What to do is future? How to live? To whom to follow the help? I am not necessary to nobody, forgotten and lonely ...he thought at this time. Tears slid as the river. Hungry, and full of fear and horror, in tears he fell asleep in the empty house.

   Days were cold and rainy. Therefore windows he fixed different boards and fibreboards. What though somehow to be warmed. It became shortly cold and he woke up from cold in the morning, shaking like an aspen leaf on a tree. Snow covered a room where he slept. When was very cold he muffled up more feasibly in a thin worn blanket to be warmed.When he hammered windows by boards or a cardboard or than it will be come into the hands, in the house it was dark and cold as in a storeroom. Often boards were broken by bums. Also it was necessary to repair windows again and again. To make light in the house, he connected two wires among themselves, what though as that to live. But he hidden from neighbors that lived behind a wall that they wouldn't be issued in the house and didn't go to complain in service.

   In the winter wore gumshoes because there was no other footwear. The rubber footwear froze and it was impossible to endure cold. Feet were simply ice.The frost was about 30`C. He dressed on two pairs sock to be warmed, but it didn't help...

Nobody wanted to take 14 year old guy on the work. It was heavy to arrive somewhere to study.

   It was necessary simply to survive...That though somehow to be consoled and allay the heart pain and fear, he started to drink vodka.On the work don't accept, there is no place to study, money isn't present to buy food and there is no place where to take. It was necessary to steal that to survive...

   To survive he wandered on different streets, the cellars, the thrown places and collected dairy bottles. Handed over them and on this money he bought food. It was not finite enough. Often he was undernourished.

   One day he managed to find a work. As in the USSR nobody took on the work juvenile child and it was illegal. So illegally he got job in cafe. He helped to undress meat in kitchen. But not long it was necessary to wait. Someone from government officials or inspection learned that the juvenile child works at kitchen. The director came and he asked him leave immediately or he can to get to prison that the juvenile guy works for him. Again hunger days, again problems...

  Once street children robed a small shop. The police thought that he also was involved in it. Also took away him in a children's shelter where held him, accusing him of that what he didn't do. Behind a high concrete fence and many iron doors, in a strict daily routine to walk everywhere only a system, hearing humiliations and insults, seeing mockeries and violence over children, he had to spend there about 30 days.It was scary and awful place.

  Once at night he passed by confectionery and noticed that a window was open.The smell of tasty cakes was so wonderful and tempting. He having yearned and having exhausted for hunger, reached to an open window. Having gorged on cakes, on following night he returned again. And here he got in hands of tall and strong man.

   When there was a court and accusing asked him why he stole.He is lost and frightened, with lowered head, he silently responded: "I simply wanted to eat..." The procurator became angry and the enraged voice started to accuse of various sins. The guy burst into tears and asked to mercy. But he was ruthless and screamed: "I will make everything that to put you in prison. Anyway you are necessary to nobody.Such as you should be in prison!" "Such as you", means those who was or who are in orphanages or on street...

  Nobody wanted to listen his explanation that he couldn't find to the work, couldn't find any educational institution. There was nobody him to help. The verdict was made. Three years of prison for the stolen cake.

  This is the real story a former street boy.It is only small part of history... He remembers everything accurately and clearly as though it occurred yesterday. Today he is saved Christian by grace of God, who helps the same street boys and girls. Who doesn't know about that there is a way and hope. The get-out or solution  is always, this is Jesus Christ.The consolation in heart, protection and rest it is possible to find only in Jesus Christ.

Many of you know this former street guy. Who passed all this way of loneliness and horror, knowing what such hunger and cold, fear and horror, pain and disappointment, injustice and indifference, humiliation and much more...This is brother Misha, Director of Bible Orphan Ministry in Ukraine.He was this street boy.

It everything waits for orphans who are graduate from orphanages in some weeks.Fear, tears, helplessness, loneliness, hunger. If will be a lucky probably will find a work or educational institution. But if no, there they waits the street, hunger cold, alcoholic and drug addiction, prison etc.

    Dear beloved friends, with heartbreaking hearts we ask you to help in our project, Gifts to Graduates.Time is running out and we have only 2 weeks...Our desire to help them in their needs and to bless at least is a little.
   With your help we already raised fund $745.Amazing!It`s almost the half what we necessary! Such a lot of joy!!!

Do you see such big crowd of our beloved God`s creations?Do you see these happy precious faces with packages in hands?Yeahhhh! We could visit them and present them your gifts of love!

It was awesome blessing to see them again and see such happy hearts.It was even more than wonderful meeting!There were such a lot of joy and happy tears.We knew how girls will be happy.But they were MORE happy than we expected!Wow!I even can not describe you how much emotions and thrilled moments were there!IT WAS AWESOME!We only rejoiced, praised and thanked the Lord in our hearts. :)

I will begin in sequence what we did and how spent time with children.I`m so exciting to do that!

At the beginning we had a program with them instead of the Bible lesson as usual. It was great time!
When we learned with them the new song about friendship, we played some games.

Game is called, "Feed the friend". The one of participants are blindfolded and she/he blindly shall feed the friend. Those win who the first will eat.It was very funny, when among younger kids, one of girls(in blue jacket) instead of that what to feed the friend. She ate one part of a cake and only then gave the second part to the friend. :)))

 

Also we had Bible story about Jonathan and David.We took older girls to help with that.

Girls were excited to play role during history.Natasha was Jonathan.She was such happy to learn to shoot the arrows!

We had such great time!

But how children were impressed, when learned that they will receive a gift!They were excited soooooooo much!There were a LOT of joy!WOW!

Each time I view this video, each time I`m crying.They are sooooo precious and sweet.Look at them how they are excited their gifts.It`s awesome!

It seems that this adorable cutie kid is saying. "Is this all so a lot of stuff for me?Wooow!"

Dear mommy where are you?...Do you know your precious little angel kissed her new shoes?Yes, she did it.When Masha took out her new shoes, she was soooo excited and kissed that.

Such happy her new gift!I believe, if you would here.You would receive such as that hundreds sweet hugs!So, children "send" hugs to you all!  :)

You won't believe but she cried when received the gift.She wiped tears, but they slid on her cheeks again and again...

Yes.It was tears of happiness.It was tears of overwhelmed heart and your love, sweet friends. She felt your amazing love and gentle care.Isn`t amazing?

This day was awesome!We were sooooo happy to see such amazing smiling faces with shining eyes!

Thank you dear friends about care of these orphans.Your greatly love astonish and make them happy, brought a lot of joy and tears of happiness.Your gentle care helped them in needs and thankful prayers to Jesus.You make a difference friends in their lives!Thank you!Lots of love to you and hugs!

Wise king

Ok.One more orphanage we were able to visit last week and had regular Bible lesson :) It was such exciting and wonderful meeting!As children wait for us every Saturday, they gathered very quickly and we wonderfully spent time. All of them are so much lovely and sweet!

 In the beginning we congratulated kids with Birthday who already had.Aren`t they precious having of their gifts? I love their lovely smiles!

We sang the song with children. They very much love this song. Especially when sing an undersong. There are such words: "Years of the childhood don't pass without a step,  therefore friends, we will tell to Jesus, yes." When children sing this undersong they very much like to sing loudly here "therefore friends, we will tell to Jesus, YES! It is soooo funny!Aren`t they just cute? :)

This lesson was unusual as we did a craft with children. As we told them story about the wise king Solomon and his affairs. They did a crown. We called it the wisdom crown. It was object lesson before Bible history.

Sharing their love with brother Misha.Boys so much do love when brother Misha helps them with crafts.They were ready to stick Bible verse on his head.Arent` they adorable! :)))

Children very much love a gliter, as it shine. They enjoyed their work!

They loved their crowns sooooo much!So they sat in them during all lesson. It was so lovely. I hope they for a long time will remember history about wise king Solomon.

Throughout history about Solomon both his wisdom and his affairs, Nadya showed visualization. Children especially liked the temple that Solomon built. They were amazed and impressed!!!"Look here! Look here! What is it?Wow!" they cried out.We are so lucky to have this paper temple to show to kids. :)

Also we together with children could add big puzzles. It was game on solidify of their knowledge of history. Who gave the right answer on a question, had the right to attach a puzzle.

This way kids helped Solomon build the temple.

In the end we learned a new song "The wise man built his house". They so loved this song that we sang with them several times!

We had a great time with kiddies.They were excited very much!

Also at this time Sasha and Lyuba had a great time with teens also.They had fun time, sang songs etc.

 

They have been speaking about forgiveness.It`s such important thing in our lives.Not to have bitterness and offense in our hearts but to have quiet and free heart from a sin.Jesus Christ is greatest example of forgiveness!

They learned this verse:"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:32)

But we have one more blessing!Here we asked you to help orphans with shoes.Our God is awesome!Isn`t He?We were able to buy new shoes to these sweet boys! That`s awesome blessing!Boys were very happy to receive this gift!

Their shoes was in an awful condition, teens walked the almost barefooted. They wore that what is difficult to call footwear.Now boys have a NEW shoes!

Dear Friends, thank you a lot for your care about orphans and your great love!Thank you make them smiling and bring a joy to their lives!Thank you so much for your prayers!What an awesome God we serve!!!Love to all!

These teen boys more than in a month will leave this orphanage...Do you believe it?Some of them are still stay as children.That is scary some.What wait them in future? Where they will live?Will find they a job or educational school where to study?or they stay on street?

Please, pray for them, God will care about their needs, protect them from evil and a sin.Please, pray God will provide all their needs and take away fear.

We have only 2 weeks to raise fund to help them a little in their need, project-Gifts to Graduates.We still need a lot to raise but time is VERY short. Please, pray and share about this need.Thank you!

Meeting with teens

Last week the Lord gave the chance to us to hold a meeting with teenagers.We had great time!It`s the orphanage where typical children.We had a lot of cheerful time and the serious moments throughout the meeting.We sang together with children a lot, played and listened to the God's Word.One song they so loved that they asked to sing many times!That was wonderful time!

As we were going to have a meeting only with teenagers, we assumed that there will be about 30-40 children. But the Lord had other plan. Other children that younger age asked very much to be present at the meeting. We had no enough candies as we expected certain number of children.Our hearts was torn asunder, what to do? how to be? Later we solved this question. Thus we had exactly 90 children!Wow!What a blessing!

The Lord wanted that bigger number of orphans could hear the God's word and be consoled.We had such blessed time!!!

The hall was almost complete people. Blessing for us was to see many tеachers and workers of orphanage that could hear the Gospel.The God's plan ALWAYS is the best!!!We all were excited by our spent time so much!

Here is video one of our game.Children bound a balloon to the right foot. Then they divided on pairs. They shall burst a balloon of the companion and during the same time to save their. It was very funny to watch! They very much liked this game and were excited to play!It was so funny time!

We played one more game. Where blindfold children shall feed their friends who also was blindfold.

 This game was even more amusing. Was very funny to look, when they got to the wrong direction or instead of mouth got a cake to a forehead or an eye of the friend. All hall laughed loudly!It was soooooo funny! :)))

Except fun time, we had time when all presented in hall, could hear the Gospel. As we had a subject about friendship.What the Bible speaks about friendship, which we should be friends, whether we are good friends in relation to our friends etc. We told them great story of friendship about Jonathan and David. (1 Samuel 18-20)

When we arrived to the orphanage and prepared for the program, children asked: "Will we see a theatrical?" 

They told to us Bible stories about 3 young men in the furnace and about Jonah when we told and showed.We were impressed that all of them still remember these stories!That is great!!! Isn`t sweet?I LOVE when kids remember stories!

In the history of friendship about Jonathan and David we read. "Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle." (1Sameul 18:3-4)

We try to do the utmost that children not only would remember stories but that they would be impressed. Unfortunately we had no enough time to prepare this program as lately we are super busy. It was necessary to invent something quickly and being remembered. Therefore we found everything that Jonathan presented to David. When children dressed to play a role of actors in the history, they very much rejoiced. Especially our Jonathan when he had so many things. But what was his surprise that he should give everything to the friend David!He said:" That is a lot!" It was good experiense for him to be friendly. :)

"And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him. And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee? And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master. But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter." (1Samuel 20:35-39)

It was such honor for our Jonathan to shoot the arrows! :) He was excited very much!

But not only our Jonathan shoot arrows. There was a possibility to teach and many other children how to start up arrows. They learned to shoot at the target that we drew.Wow!It was such exciting moment! All kids wanted to shoot arrows!

When children just to saw bow with arrows, they were AMAZED!"WOW!Look at this!May I shoot?" They loved it sooooooooo much!It was such perfect possibility to learn kids how to use the bow and arrows.We love it! We were excited and thrilled how they were happy by using the bow and arrows!That is not surprise.Where kids could to use it and learn???

Who got the closer to center of target, won a prize more expensively.Boys LOVED this game! :)

 But on it our meeting didn't end. The our Heavenly Father is good to us, He blessed and we could distribute to kids New Testaments and Bibles.

 Isn`t blessing that orphans could receive the God's Word?Now they can read and learn about God`s love, about His comforting, how to live Christian life and much and much more.

 We had such great and blessed time with teens!!!We hope, if God will allow, to visit them soon. We praise our wonderful and so good Saviour!

When we came back home, all road was laid a smoke-screen. Snow at last completely melted. All prepare for summer, everything remove and clean after last year. Therefore fields prepare for sowing also. In the woods and on fields burn out an old last year's grass that the young grass could grow and was juicy.Just wonder, whether burn out also old grass every year in the Spring in other countries? It would be interesting to hear it in your comments :))) Blessings!

The first Birthday!

We dreamed and prayed long time that to have the Birthday holiday for orphans. We know on how many this day is important for them. It is very sad and heartbreaking that in their special day nobody pays to them attentions, nobody congratulates, no balloons, sweets, friends who share your joy and many another. Our desire and a request to the Lord, was to make this day special and being remembered in their life.

Do you know what? God heard our prayers! It`s something awesome!!!

In orphanages where we conduct Bible lessons, we each time take with ourselves toys or any gifts that to congratulate orphans. They very much wait for it! Often when we only will arrive to an orphanage, children already on a threshold say: "А I had a Birthday!" They wait for gifts and congratulations VERY MUCH!!!

But in our hearts we wanted to make something bigger...

Once we approached to administration of an orphanage and asked can we make Birthday party for boys?

Administration was very happy to hear that!So, boys had FIRST Birthday party!Can you believe that? Some boys are more than 28 years old...All orphanage came to see that.There were of 20 birthday boys.

We had fun time!Songs, games etc. Brother Misha congratulated them and told a well-wishing from the Bible.

It was sadly a little that boys had not a cream cake.Administration of orphanage is afraid that they will not have a trouble with stomach.So, boys had of cottage cheese cake.

But boys and staff were AMAZED by gifts!   With your support we were able to buy these gifts and have presented to children.And also sent beautiful toys by you, we could to bless them.

Our beloved boys were very happy and excited by their gifts!

Other 8 boys were sick at this time and could not be with us. :( But they also received their gifts!What a joy was there!

 The staff was VERY thankful! But we could not do it without you, friends!Thank you so much to bring them blessing and make their day very special!

The staff asked us to help with program to celebrate the next boys with their birthday.We have some ideas but we need God`s help and blessing.

We have decided with administration of orphanage to celebrate boy`s birthdays each 3 months.

But we need your help, sweet friends. Please, can you send toys here we can bless children? These soft toys are very expensive here.It`s unreal to buy.

We necessary different games or toys for boys age 4-30 years old.Boys age of 30 years old, same as they are 18 years old.So, that is fine if you would send them any game or toy for age of 16-18 years old.

Probably somewhere there are toys that aren't necessary to you or your children don't play them but they are in good condition. Or probably there is a possibility to your children to collect them at school or in church? We would be very grateful! And children which never received such gifts, would be VERY happy!!!Thank you so much for your help!We appreciate it very much!
