Awesome time with boys

Few days ago we visited boys with special needs. As always we had a wonderful time with boys!

We had a puppet show

Told them a Bible story about David and Goliath.Boys were pretty excited to play a role of Biblical heroes. :)

We sang a song "I'm in the Lord army". They did it so well with movements!

It was so amazing sing with them together and praise God!

Then we played a game " To Hit Goliath".

It was so priceless to observe their joy and excitement!

And then other precious boys...

Caretakers thanked greatly for "our" caretakers again. And said, "Oh, we don`t know what we will do if they would go away and stop work with us. They play with boys, take them outside, they cherish them".

We know that it would not happened without your participation, tender love and care.It means SO VERY MUCH for all workers of the institution! But especially for these poor and abandoned boys.  THANK YOU FRIENDS!!! Millions times THANK YOU!!!

Update about the Project of Caretakers

The days are windy and snowy now.The real winter came to Ukraine! Even it`s cold, -10C(14F) But we are very excited! Because we had very warm days, without snow for a long time. It was not Ukrainian winter. :) We so much wanted snow! God blessed us so generously!!! Yes, we praise Him for snow and little frost! 

(Job 37:6) "For he saith to the snow, Be thou [on] the earth..." 

I have a wonderful news for you! And I am soooo excited! :)

We had possibility to visit sweet boys in mental institution and blessed them by many diapers, baby food and special formula for those, who has a trouble digestion food. Yay!

But the most wonderful and exciting news that we hired caretakers AGAIN! Praise God!!!!

We raised only %50 of sum it was necessary. God blessed us with $3000. He teaches us trust Him more.
So, we hired caretakers only for 6 months, not for a year as we hoped. But it is better than nothing!!! :)

BOM agreed and  signed  a contract with Institution to help with caretakers. Yay!

The same lovely ladies, who worked a year already, will take care and give love to these abandoned treasures.We could see and testify the wonderful work they do.

I love how this boy interacted and played with G. He likes to do it and she helps him.

Caretakers for boys -- continue the project

A few weeks will be a year as with your help we raised the necessary sum and hired two caretakers to mental institution. Time flies awfully fast! Even can not believe that a year has passed ... Thanks to the many wonderful people, generous donors in small and huge donations and even anonymous donors ... The boys were able to receive the necessary care and attention. 

Looking through the list of donors, tears flow with joy, happiness and humble heart ... How many people opened their generous hearts to these lonely and abandoned boys. How many gave gifts of love, wanting to change the lives of disadvantaged children. How many prayed, sent emails, shared on social networks spreading the word.... Tears of joy flow from thinking how great and amazing our Lord Jesus Christ. How He wonderfully blessed and poured out His astonish love to these precious souls, showing His care for them. Those, whom the world considers unworthy...

Only for several weeks we were able to raise  more then $6000! Wow! It was a AMAZING miracle!

These wonderful caretakers faithfully performed their job and did everything, what they were told to do.

They dressed boys and got out outdoors

Changed clothes, when it was necessary

Сhanged diapers

Fed those, who cannot eat by themselves.

Washed the children, watch order and cleanliness in the rooms. Washed and mopped the floors and much more.

But the most. They replaced mothers to these treasures, hugging, comforting and wiping away tears. Children are very used to them already.

The administration of this institution are very happy and every time as our arrival, always  thank for the great rendered help with "extra hands". But we know that this would not have happened without your participation. :)

A HUGE need and desire of administration and ours certainly, again hire these same caretakers signed a contract for a year. They are perfectly cope with their work providing care and attention to these tiny kids. Especially that it is vitally important, Friends. So our desire is that to continue this vital project, what we started a year ago. Their presence in the institution and the attention that they give the sweet boys is LIFE CHANGING for the children that they work with.

But we can not hire them until would not be gathered all the necessary amount. We have very short time to raise $6000!

Caretakers

As you know, several months ago we had a project to hire caregivers to precious boys, who need a care.

We prayed for the mighty army of the church of God to do life changing for these tiny and sweet boys.God did it!He made fabulous miracle! Showing His generous hand for caring for those the world says are worthless.

So, we have a wonderful news and update about caregivers!

They feed children, they change diapers, wash the floor in their rooms and make their bed.When is warm weather they take them outside. These sweet ladies take very good care of boys and do everything they have been told to do.They know boys very well already, their character, behaviour, who needs more care, attention and who what loves.

We very hope and pray their attention will make a big difference in the well-being of the boys. 

The administration of institution is very grateful for the support and boys have a better care.Yes, it is far away from perfect.But a little action of love can do a big thing!

And this simply could not happen without many hands and many hearts being spurred to action. Thank you very much! Thanks to your small and big gifts what have been given, boys receive more attention and love. We appreciate your support more than we can say. THANKS A LOT, dear Friends!God bless you!

Visit of boys

One more amazing visit we had recently!

This day was so sunny and beautiful!Even snow still laid, but the sun very bright shined so, that was heavy to look. The whiteness of snow and a bright sun blinded eyes. It was already spring sun!

Spending a time with boys was beautiful also.

 We had puppet show.

 We told Bible story to those, who understands even a little.Boys sat so silently and listened history. It was simply amazing! In the room there was such silence that this even  made uneasy a little. :) We absolutely did not expect it and rejoiced in our hearts.Praise the Lord!

The game, where precious souls put puzzles. Children very much liked to take part. They were so excited! Thus we had some groups, where the BOM team helped boys and  more children could play.

  Even the caregiver helped boys! It`s great!She even helped boys to sing song too.And we love it!

Christian literature to workers

Thanks to your support, we were able to bring diapers to the needy children and special formula food.Awesome blessing!

I only think of these poor boys, who absolutely not react and don't speak. I even don't know or they hear at all. What can we make for them? How to bring them pleasure? What to make, that their eyes would begin to shine and we could see precious smiles? Some of them don't react or in general reject, take your hand away. When you try to touch and stroke, having shown at least a little attention and love. What to make, that they would feel necessary and saw at least a ray of love, at least a little bit light?What can we do?..

 Thou hast seen [it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite [it] with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. Psalm 10:14

Sweet time with girls

We are very busy now by visitation of orphans.Every day I`m going to tell you what an awesome blessings we have.We are super excited!But after coming back home, I feel tired and do not have strength and energy to blog.

So, here is a short update about visitation of girls in mental institution we had last week.

When we only arrived, some children having seen us at a windows, started waving a hands.Day was gray and a little gloomy. But we saw warm light in the eyes of these precious children.Their dear faces shining brightly were so expressed and so excited.Oh, my!You would see their pure joy.It brings such blessing to our hearts to see their lovely smiles.

To tell Bible history to those, who understands a little, it was a little difficult this time. It was noisy a little.Some girls shouted sometimes. Honestly, it is hard to say. It because of their special needs, disability or pleasure.But we had a wonderful time anyhow!

Here we played puzzles.That team, who will make it the first, will win. Nadia and Misha helped girls.

They so loved this game! That we chose also other children to play. They were so happy and applauded.

Also girls liked to sing with movements.

They love music!

The wonderful blessing was that not smaller than 7 caretakers could hear the Gospel in this room and received Christian literature.Amazing!

Sweet precious souls helped us to gather our stuff in the end of program.These 2 dear girls are so special to my heart.They both are so sweet and darling.Just so love them!So sad they are in this place...

Often it breaks my heart and ask the Lord. Why so loving hearts have to be here? Why they have to suffer? Why?We know the answer. I believe, you know why...Bible says "...and the whole world lieth in wickedness". Just wait a day, when we will be in the Heaven forever with our beloved ones.Where will not be an evil and iniquity.Where we will be happy with saved dear sisters and brothers in Christ. Where we will be forever with Jesus.We should just wait with patience.

While we spent time with children, brother Misha spoke about God`s love to caregiver.In other rooms with opened doors, other caregivers also could hear the Good news. :)

The day and visitation was absolutely awesome!

We thank Jesus for each moment to see these dear children and spend time with them.We thank God for each opportunity to give our love and hugs.We thank our almighty God for your support and prayers!God bless you! :)

Caretakers to precious boys

I have wonderful news for you dear Friends!First.Thank you very much for your prayers!We got to mental institution in twice longer than usually, because the road was not so well, as the roads are covered in ice now.But we got and came back safely and that is great!

Next we had wonderful meeting with the new caretakers and administration of institution.Honestly, I was a little bit the nervous.Who they are?Will they agree to work with these special children because the work is really heavy and not everyone agree to work there.Will they love and good care about these precious souls and many other questions twirled in my head.But everything was nice and we like them!

BOM signed the contract for a year with this institution.So, since the 1 of February sweet boys will receive better care and attention.

Here these two nice ladies E. and G.

 Bro.Misha as director of BOM told them and read what Bible says about orphans and shared the Gospel.We praise God for this privilege!

When staff of institution and BOM showed, acquainted and introduce them with what children they will be to work. Some children reached for them to hug, take on hands and to receive attention.I love it!

Thank you very much everyone who made it possible to happen!We are so excited for these precious boys!You make a difference in their lives and you are so awesome blessing!Thank you from bottom of our hearts and behalf of these boys!

It was so sad to hear that two more children got to this place just for several days...

An one woman stayed alone with two children. The husband left her. While the grandmother and the grandfather were live, they could care of the child. But when they died, the woman not in forces to cope with two children and one of them are special kid. She with tears in the eyes shared the endured grief with desperate and broken heart. She can't cope with him physically because he shouts all the time, breaks and tears all in the house, uncontrollable. The house became thrown because mother not for a minute can't leave him that even to cook to eat. Also they live on one child`s small pension(what the government gives for a kid about $100-120 monthly) that though somehow to support the children.She was compelled to leave the special child there... that to go for work both to feed herself and to care of other her child...

So, this is one more reason why people leave these poor children there...So and so sad that they absolutely do not receive any support and help.Very often these families simply survive.

Caretakers to a mental institution- the new project

Since the $2,400 came in for the winter coats and boots, any other funds this month will go toward a desperate other need.We are so GRATEFUL to every of you, who shared about this project, prayed and donated! The details about coats and boots and all things, I will update when will be able.We are very excited to bless girls by these amazing blessings!

As you already know we are partnering for the month of December with Ten For Orphans and Grace Haven Ministry.As we have 2 more weeks to the end of the month.These wonderful organizations willing to help BOM in other project to meet needs of orphans.We are so thankful!

So, we begin our the next project -"Caretakers for boys in Mental Institution".It is biggest and vital the project ever we had.

Honestly, it is very heavy to find words to write this blog  post seeing these photos.But most heavy it is know and see the need of these precious boys.

Can you imagine your life in this room, without colourful drawings or pictures on a wall, without books, without toys, without having opportunity to go outside? You can see only that behind a window, if you are lucky certainly and your bed closely to a window. Imagine. Round you the same children, which in the same need. But anybody doesn't talk to you, don't hug, don't kiss and never will tell you the warm and tender word. You are helpless even to eat independently, to change clothes. You wash once a week. Anybody doesn't visit you and doesn't spend with you time. Everything that you can see, it only that, that occurs in the room and behind a window. And so each hour, every day, every month and every year... It changes nothing. Life to become routine, grey and simply overwhelming and unsufferable.You feel lonely and unloved...

But these precious boys so live for months and years... 

Do you see such sad face of this sweet boy? There absolutely is no hope...

I believe, if someone at least took him outside on hands that to inhale fresh air, to hear tweet of the birds, different sounds, a voice of a dog or children's laughter, his face would change absolutely and there would be a smile and hope...But he is unlucky.He does not have some one, who could bring this joy to his life.

Can you believe this tiny boy B. is 20 years old?Yes, it is heartbreaking and unbelievable... :(

Some time ago I casually found this photo and was simply shocked, when saw that some years ago that he could go, independently to eat and be in the main group of boys.

But today he can't walk any more... His feet without having a muscle can't hold his tiny and thin body. Therefore he is in group of the most severe special needs children, spends days and years in his crib, having turned in or having crossed under himself tiny feet.

Children lying on a floor waiting for the help, can lie so while someone won't lift them up and can't of. And if there is nobody to help, can lie for hours.

The boy in a wheelchair always looks the expecting.When you only will touch his pure face or you will start tickling lightly or even it is simple to talk.His face lights up with the sweetest, most joyous smile shining out in the darkness.

Because of a not dearth of workers, children don't receive due attention and as a result simply die...There only 2 employers on 20 children.Trust me, that work there is very heavy. They simply don't manage and aren't in time. They need to feed children, to wash after them the dishes, to sit down on a potty or to change diapers, to wash the floor in their rooms and make their bed. While they do this work, already came again to feed time children. Then the nep time and etc. etc... Thus children don't go out on the street. Each time we come and each time of the caretakers working there complain with the afflicted hearts. "Oh, if we had more workers, everything would be on another!" We saw more than once as the workers hard work, what though somehow to care of children. We aren't able to help with many needs.But something we can do with your help!And it is vital need, dear Friends!

Our wish and prayer will hire a 2 caretakers full time to work, where the children with the most severe special needs live. The caregivers will have the responsibility to ensure that the children are properly fed and that all medical needs are addressed and they well care of boys.

We spoke with the director of the Institution. There are a lot of needs and he does everything possible to improve life of these poor and abandoned children. But the greatest need for today, it is a lack of "working hands". Our desire to employ more caretakers. But let's begin with two of them!

Director let us know it will cost $6000 to hire 2 caretakers for a year.It is large amount for us but the need is HUGE!Personnel to work in the institution to be “extra hands” to hold the children, meet their basic needs and also interact with them to help their development. Their presence in the institution and the attention that they give the children is LIFE CHANGING for the children that they work with.Children DIE from lack of care!!!

We have only 14 days to raise $6000.We do not know or can do it...But how much we will raise it will be VERY helpful!Your little gift can make a big difference in lives of these poor children.Our thoughts turn to prayer that God would open up  hearts and help these children to give a hope and life.We’re praying for a miracle.  We’re praying for the mighty army of the church of God to do life changing for these tiny and sweet boys.

 If God`s will Institution can hire caretakers in the month of January.But it depends how the Lord will provide...

The project, Winter Coats and Boots -Part 2

In last previous post I told you that God is doing something amazing.I`m so and so excited to announce it to you!

You know that our current project with winter coats still proceeds. As our desire to bless 40 orphaned girls with special needs, who can not be adopted and have so many needs.

The things changed a little.But for a good reason!
We renamed a little our current project as Winter Coats and Boots.As these girls have REAL need with winter boots also.

 

Can you believe that for the month of December, the Ten for Orphans Project http://www.tenfororphans.org and Grace Haven Ministries http://gracehavenhome.com are partnering together to help us raise funds for winter coats and winter boots for orphans?! Isn`t amazing blessing?

 Ten for Orphans is promoting the fund raiser and Grace Haven is receiving the donations on our behalf as they are a registered 501(c)3 charity in the U.S. and will be able to provide tax deductible receipts for those who donate through them.The button is at the top and on the right side of our blog named as Winter Coats and Boots.
