God takes care!

Somewhere about two weeks ago here, I told to you that the Lord made a real miracle. Also I was going to share with you later, when everything will be made. And so at last, I can share with you about that how God cares of orphans and hears prayers of the children.

We have here many needs... But some of them were VERY urgent because of a season and getting cold. Our hearts were broken and we couldn't stay indifferent to needs of 4 teenagers, who had no necessary clothes. Thank God, today they have winter clothes and footwear, thanks to your donations.We are so excited for them!

 Also we worry and we pray about girls with special needs that to bless them with winter jackets.We have already $545!Awesome! Thank you very much!

In addition we have a big difficulty with our missionary van. Please pray!

And still it was necessary to help immediately to a mental institution with medicines about which they asked us to help. We had only 10-14 days to help.

 And some these needs  were in past and some are STILL the urgent. In total that we could, it to kneel and beg God about mercy and about a miracle. Our hearts were broken and we didn't know how to help...  We prayed and in one-two days God answered and made a miracle, having sent us amount of money EXACTLY what was necessary to help mental institution, where are boys with special needs.

  We were so glad and impressed, God sent to us exactly this amount of money! God knows everything and cares of precious orphans, knowing their many needs. 

It`s funny that the same day, we were going to ask you about this help.I already sat down for computer to bloging about that. But I decided to check out our account. I could not believe my very own eyes! We were so impressed and amazed that we hadn't to do it and the Lord already sent!Wow!

Thus, we immediately acquired and could provide a flue vaccine, to dear boys with special needs. Orphanage do this every year, that protect children against catch cold, flu etc. And it helps. But this year the mental institution couldn't pay for it, and asked us. We were so glad that the Lord cares and sends all necessary. And it was enough!We paid $550 for vaccine.

Praise the Lord!Praise the Lord!Praise the Lord who still do miracles today!!!Our God is awesome!

Bless Orphans by Winter Coats.

Well. Dear friends. We begin our new project, Bless Orphans by Winter Coats. We were going to carry out this project more than a month ago. But sometimes there are unforeseen situations and it is necessary to change or postpone everything. Therefore this project VERY urgent also!!! Because the cold season already began and time is VERY short.

 Orphan`s coats are very worn, have holes, broken zippers what cannot be fixed and coats are in an awful condition.  Very often the child wears a coat for many years, when a child grown, the same coat pass on to other child, who wear it for several more years... So one coat or a jacket can wear 2-3 children many and many years. As a result it becomes unfit for use, doesn't make warm and children very much freeze.

Our desire, that children would feel comfortably and warmly. Our prayers to God, that children would see that the Lord loves and greatly cares of them. 

Winters in Ukraine are very cold, especially when air is humid or damp.Even not strongly low air temperature to become simply intolerable. The winter for many Ukrainians it is simply catastrophe and to become every year serious test and a cause of life and death. Last winter over hundreds Ukrainians froze from cold and an awful frost. From Wikipedia for last winter in 2012.

We beg God that orphans wouldn't feel cold as last winter, and felt God's warm and presence through blessing having warm clothes. If we could, we would blessed ALL orphans with a warm coat or a jacket and winter boots...

Our purpose to raise $3090 that to bless 60 girls with special needs in mental institutions.

This picture was taken 3 years ago.Caretakers asked us to help these sweet kids to get the warm jackets.We were not able to help them...And no one did not help them still...I believe their coats became worst for these several years.So, our wish to help them with God`s help, this year.It would be such a great joy and excitement, if they could to receive new winter jackets.

Please, can you help us to help 60 orphaned girls with special needs to receive winter jackets?God made so many miracles.We pray and very hope to help our dear ones to stay and feel warm at this future winter. Please, can you help us to bless these precious ones, as poor teenagers several days before?
 It`s VERY urgently, Friends!Time is VERY short!The earlier we will raise necessary means, the earlier we can bless dear children...

We would be so grateful, if you tell others about this big need. Everywhere, where only it is possible. Please, pray God help these all kids. Olya and Sasha -renting apartment

We are so excited and SO thankful to you dear friends, to be part of 3 dear souls, precious Edick and his young parents, Sasha and Olya.

We so rejoice we could to raise $1700 to help them in renting their apartment and needs.It`s almost the half the necessary sum!Praise God He cares of his children!!!What a great joy!We are so grateful to you!!!!!!!!!

Praise the Lord they are saved from the street and have warm and such nice apartment.We can easily breathe and breathe sigh of relief.They grow spiritually in obeying of God.And they learn to be nice parents to darling Edick.

But the situation in their family changed.
Sasha working at shoe factory injured seriously left hand. The knife on the machine that cut off a sole of footwear came off and cut Sasha's hand so that muscles and a hand bone were visible. Sasha lost a lot of blood, the hand awfully hurt. There was an awful sight!Oh, my! But on God's favor the wound is tightened and heals and everything is good now.Praise the Lord!
As a result of trauma Sasha left that work and certain time can't work. And he couldn't find here work where  he could work by one hand. Not to waste time, BOM helped him to arrive with training school, where for 2 years of training, he should get 3 professions, such as the house painter-plasterer, the joiner-carpenter and the bricklayer.So, Sasha is student now.

So, we still need to raise more funds to help in renting of their apartment for all year and for their needs such as medication, food, etc.That their shelves wouldn't be empty as here.

 But enough of food for all family.

 From all sum $3465 are necessary to raise $1765 more to help with their needs.It`s for all year.

Please pray that the Lord would provide and sent all necessary for this family. Pray that the Lord would help them grow spiritually, to come nearer to Him and to love Him with all their hearts. Thanks a lot!

Sweet Dreams of the Orphans - new project

 Dear our loving friends and faithful readers, brothers and sisters in Christ, we begin our new project -Sweet Dreams of the Orphans. The purpose of this project to bless orphans in their need with mattresses and pillows that they could sleep, forget about awful nights and with a joy thanked the Lord.

The administration of an orphanage asks us to help long ago in this need, but we can't help orphans without the God's help and providing.

 This orphanage has 90 girls with different special needs, age of 5-35 years. There are girls with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, mentally retarded, Apert Syndrome, delayed of developmentally and others. We visit this orphanage regularly with Bible lessons.It`s same orphanage where Annya received a wheelchair a year ago.It`s same place where girls received school supplies.It`s same orphanage where girls received wonderful gifts recently.

 Status of these mattresses and pillows the simply is awful. These mattresses are more than 30 years old! You can imagine what is there inside of mattresses and how it is not easy to sleep to orphans.In the inside of pillows are rags that does incapable to sleep on them. That causes mass of inconveniences and sufferings. You can imagine how heavy to sleep at night to children and as awfully they suffer. And if children with special needs sleep not enough or badly, it brings more problems both for children and for employees of orphanage.

Special inspection of orphanages requires that mattresses changed EACH 6 years. But the orphanage unable to provide all orphans and to solve this question.

Once we saw a sweetheart child that slept simply on this metal grid because of absence of mattress. The grid was covered just by a simple sheet. Can imagine how this child felt and suffered on this grid??? It`s terribly!

Seeing these mattresses and pillows simply breaks our hearts.And became a burden since then.There are no words...

The need is to raise fund $2.206 for a month, for all girls that to help to bless each of them,by a mattress and a pillow.This sum includes mattresses and pillows for all 90 girls and all fees.It frightens a little, because a large sum. But the need is more there.

But when I start to think as wonderfully and generously the Lord blessed our last project.How much we made with your help before in other projects, that just makes really smile, because we know that we have some very loving friends and readers who care, want to help and pray. You all make us grateful every single day for this wonderful community of friends we have and enjoy being a part of. 

Dear Church of Christ, dear our brothers and sister, can we do it together in one team, in one unity of Spirit for God`s glory and joy of precious children?Can you please help to make sweet dreams at nights of these orphans with special needs?

Shoes

 Each time when we visit orphanages, each time it breaks our hearts at the sight of what footwear children wear... It breaks heart and very heartbreaking to look at it... The footwear very much worn out, with holes, with the wiped sole also isn't subject to repair. It is very big problem in each orphanage. One of the greatest problems, it`s footwear to children. Directors of all orphanages very much ask us to help with shoes to children.

 But we can't help to solve this problem. We ask you very much... Please, help to orphaned children! It`s urgent need! Some children wear footwear of the friends because their shoes is already so worn-out that isn't subject to repair. It`s too big or too small size of shoes for their feet.

It`s necessary footwear of all sizes and all types, winter, autumn, summer. Age from 4 years old to the adult, 35 years old. The footwear can be used, but in a good condition. Or we can buy footwear here from 80-100-140 hryvnias($10-12.5-17.5). Depends on that how many we will buy, what type of footwear and for what age.

Children practically have no footwear but wear what they have. They have no replaceable shoes, but only on one pair. Imagine how difficult it is necessary them and as they freeze in feet when their footwear get wet. There is no place to dry or shoes does dry some days. If footwear wet and to wear, it to collapse quicker.

 Imagine, what children feel when they look at someone at whom footwear better than their. Also imagine what they will experience when will receive new shoes or worn, but in the best condition. 

 Children pray, ask the Lord to help with their need and send them necessary footwear. Imagine, how they will be happy, delighted and impressed when the Lord will respond to their prayer... We ask you very much prays for this need.It`s cry of their soul.

Our precious ones

Here I have promised to you will share with you our last meetings with children that we had. I am very excited and I rejoice about that, what the Lord does.How He is good to us and also blesses!

At first I will begin about a trip we make every Friday, to children with special needs. Undoubtedly children were VERY glad a meeting and couldn't wait already when we will begin. The class was full children, was a rather little to sit, as there were no enough places, some sat on a floor, but all were glad the meeting.

This meeting was a little unusual and differed from all. It would be desirable to make something unusual and to surprise children. As we should tell a Bible story about prophet Ilija and about all his acts and miracles. I have decided that the Bible history will be told not by me or sisters but a raven. Many of you know that ravens fed Elijah in days of famine and brought to him meat and bread."And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook." (1 Kings17:6) It would be desirable to diversify a lesson and consequently raven told story.

We searched a toy raven some weeks in all shops, markets and everywhere where only it was possible. Unfortunately we haven't found and it was necessary to do it by ourself. By means of knitted threads, chenille stems, wiggle eyes and a bow on a head it has turned out such interesting raven. 

Certainly she hasn't turned out which we to herself her(she was girl) represented, but has quitted very funny. :) As raven croaks.In Ukraine it`s karkat`. We named her "Karkarona". It was such joy to children and laughed at her name. You would see with what attention they listened to the story of ours Karkarona! In the class there was surprising silence! Children with such attention listened about prophet Ilija! We were delighted that have achieved result! Children so have fallen in love with our "guest" that in the end of meeting some of them approached and stroked her trying to talk with her.It was funny to observe on children. :)

But before the history, children have started to do a craft, raven. In the beginning we talked and asked kids, what the raven eats, where he lives etc. and was our preparatory part to history. As the craft was from paper plates. Children have colored it in black color.

How we didn't try to notify them that they would try worked over the work accurately, all the same some of them were soiled in black color and looked very funny and cute. Now I am sorry that haven't made a picture. It was ridiculous and amusing. :))) Children enjoyed and excited their work very much!

Well. When we have approached to that part of history where a  widow woman from Zarephath fed Ilija. We wanted to bless orphans with meal also.

Nadya has cooked pancakes on a flour and oil. When we gave them, we have told, imagine that each of you are prophet Ilija, and the widow is Nadya that feeds you. It was very exciting moment.

You would see with which pleasure and joy they ate it and asked still! Tell you a little secret. Nadya cooks very tasty and delicious!Shhhh! Do not tell her that.  :)  She is such wonderful and great cook and blessing for all of us.We enjoy her cooking very much! Her came up to cook such tasty pancakes only with a flour and oil. It was such great joy to children. There was so much pleasure and delight!

When we have played at one game, could study with children a Bible verse.
  "For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth." (1 Kings17:14)

One part of children hid meat drawings at room, where words of a verse were written. Other part of children were crows who looked for this food and should bring it, feed the prophet. Nadia was Elijah prophet. Children brought all words of a verse to her. Children were excited VERY much by this game!
It was so much fun when children looked for "meat".

After that children have continued to work over their projects. They have glued a beak to raven, wiggle eyes, bird arms, the Bible verse to a beak.It was such BIG joy to children very much that raven could move his wings! As they are attached by the brads.
They were excited SO very much and spoke, look my raven can fly!

We were very glad to see happy kids.So happy and with full heart of joy we came back to homes.

Next day we could visit another orphanage where we also  spent time with children.
This time here we spoke about the first king in Israel, Saul.

 

Children very much rejoiced to play game where they could be a king. They said the desires that they would make if they were a king.After this game, Nadya has told them a Bible story how God chose Saul to be first king. (1 Samuel 9-10)

We played game to solidify their knowledge of Bible history about Saul. Also played game to study the Bible verse and we sang a lot. Children very strongly liked a song about Samuel that we have studied last time. They sing it with such joy and pleasure.

Also Sasha and Lyuba could have a meeting with teenagers, sharing the Gospel with them.They had a great time also!

 When we came back home, we have very much frozen because waited the bus about 40 minutes. Our brother Misha was in Russia with the father still. We recalled, laughed and dreamed that would reach home much faster, each of us dreamed of acceptance of a heat bath and hot tea. :) Though we have been dressed warmly, but we were chilled so strongly that couldn't move. We thought that we will be ill. But thanks God we all are live and healthy. The glory to the Lord that He keeps us safe from illnesses and different troubles!

 But we are SO glad and happy to visit orphans and to bring them pleasure, hope and love. To give our warm and gentle words, to give our tender hugs and time, that it is NOTHING in comparison of what as apostle Paul suffered in different travels and in his life.

 11:23 "Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 

 11:24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.

 11:25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 

11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

11:27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 

11:28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches."

But here I would love to stop on the important thing.In this orphanage as in EVERY orphanage children have a big trouble with shoes. The snow melts now and children have very worn out shoes which has different holes.

They try to sew and recover footwear, but it - is enough of it only within several days. And as a result the footwear becomes improper more. Feet of children are wet for a long time.The wet footwear dries throughout several days. Besides that they have useless and worn footwear out, all of them have no replaceable footwear there.It`s catastrophe!

Our hearts are broken...It`s very heavy and heartbreaking situation.Children have not shoes to wear.

Here is a picture of the broken sole that is stitched by threads. Whether will suffice it on long in wet and still cold weather???

 

We ask you to pray, that the Lord has provided this need, has shown His love and care of orphans.If you can, please, send shoes to those who need it.Or donate, we can buy that here, probably it will be even cheaper than send. We can scan and send a copy of bill for shoes in personal e-mail.That is no problem.But most, we ask you to pray for children.God will provide shoes.Thank you so much!!!

Snow, ice and frozen sea in Ukraine

Below are several pictures and video of Ukrainian winter at this year.In the beginning when it`s snowing, everything is very nice and white.Everything is SO beautiful and perfect!!!

When we go somewhere and I see everything just white.It remind me that we have to have so pure and perfect hearts before Lord Jesus.And it reminds me what Bible says about snow. When I see some step or something that make dirty snow, it reminds me about sins.Than more dirtier white snow, then more sins in our hearts.In the beginning when you make first step on snow, you afraid to blemish the beautiful picture.You afraid to break God`s amazing creation.Because everything is just perfect! But when snow is so much dirty, you just walk and do not pay attention, because everywhere is dirty.
Same is in heart.When you do a sin, one, second,.. you tremble before the Lord and ask Him about forgiveness.But when we tired to fight with a sin, you do not have a strength, you feel weak yourself, bitterness, pain, soreness etc.You stop to ask Him about forgiveness and began to live as everyone  in this world,  not paying attention what is in your heart.Because everyone does it...
But it`s so horrible and dangerous!When you have emptiness in your heart, you do not feel joy and happiness, you do not have faith and peace.

But Jesus says in Bible He has the way!
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah1:18)

Isn`t amazing!It`s such a joy, a blessing and happiness to have pure heart.When you live and are not afraid of future, you are free and do not have a burden of a sin in your heart.Can be something better than peace, faith and joy in heart?Can be something better when you are free? It`s such a blessing we have Jesus Christ who forgives every our sin and make our hearts white and pure as snow!Isn`t a blessing for all of us? :)

Below are pictures of winter.Can you believe that the sea frozen?For those who do not know that the south of Ukraine washes the Black sea.Frosts were so strong that sea frozen far away.It`s unusual for Ukraine and first time for 30 years!

We would love to thank you for all your prayers about weather in Ukraine!We are so excited that it became warmer.We very hope it was last such cold days we had this winter.One man who lived very close to North in Russia, he has moved to Ukraine recently.He said they had about -40`C and it  was easier to suffer than ukrainian frosts -20`C. We even when have 0`C it`s still cold.It`s because the air is humid but not dry.

Orphans felt cold very much in orphanages during these terrible days.We visited orphans several days ago.They had let us know that have a lessons in basement.There are warmer than in their classes where they have lessons. Also when they wake up in the morning, they do not want to get up because in their bedrooms is so cold.It`s just breaks our hearts.

Several kids are at hospital with high fever.Administration of orphanages are very afraid that can be epidemic of flu.The snow began to melt.Children do not have a footwear change.A one vice-principal shared with us her worries.When older boys cleansed territory of orphanage from snow, later their feet and shoes were wet.They had not other shoes to change and became sick.They have only ONE pair of shoes.But what to do if it is became wet???It`s so heartbreaking and overwhelming...

 Oh, Dear Lord, please, help in needs our dear and beloved ones.Please, help orphans in their biggest need with shoes...

We ask you.Please, pray God will provide shoes for orphans.It`s the BIGGEST need in ALL orphanages.

Please, can you help us visit orphans during these cold days?

Today I have woken up and in our room (I sleep with the sister now), was +13 `C(55.4`F) in a room. In other room +9 `C(48.2F). It ` s very cold! Outside is even colder. :) It seems that today the coldest day for me. But really it`s not. Last year was -37 `C(34.6F) some days. I thank God that I wasn't born, and I do not live in Siberia. I would die there. :) The problem, consists in that that here very cold, even 0 `C(32F) because air is damp that does by colder.

So, today we haven't gone to an orphanage which we visit every Friday, because it ` s very cold and would make our travel very difficult with luggage in our hands. And the autostation a little far from orphanage to go.
Even we would go on a van it ` s unreal. Our van does not start. So, tomorrow we can't visit orphans also.And we do not know when will visit them...It depends from a situation with our van. :(
We kindly wanted to ask you... Please, you can help us in visiting of orphans? Our van of 11 years, and the accumulator is weak. So, the van can't start, when a strong frost. I don't know and I do not understand very much in cars. Brother Misha, our driver who is the Director of the BOM also, says that we need the new accumulator. We can go, but it can bring some problems on road and it is necessary to push the car. The new accumulator or the charging device is necessary to us. It costs 100$. Please, can you help in this need?..Please, pray God will bless in this need.
It would be such great blessing for us.As you know kiddies wait for visitors all time.Thank you!God bless you!

Joyful moments and worries

Last Saturday we were able to visit this orphanage and had blessing time with kiddies.Each journey is different.We have joyful and happy moments during spending time with darling ones to us.Also we see sad moments, which crush and break our hearts...

But I would love to start with joyful and happy moments we had at this day.

The topic of our lesson was 12 spies when they went to check out promised by God of land.Nadya has told this Bible story and she does it perfect all time. :) Children listened attentively this history.

Children were so MUCH impressed when they saw binoculars!What that? many asked.Some asked:"Is it real?" 

Here when they came to me up and wanted to see.We took binoculars to show children how today people check everything out on border, to catch spies etc.  WOW! Children were impressed by that so much!Especially boys! You know how boys love all these things.:) It was funny!

 

 But what a surprise was when came to the class our two "spies" and they brought huge grape!Children were amazed!
But it was real so funny to see how these two boys were excited much to be these spies.When they were putting on clothes(in corridor), they all time said "how great is that!"
They were excited so much by that  and it was honour for them to act in this history.They looked sooooo funny when they could not control their emotions.:) I LOVE it! I love soooo much to see exciting kiddies! :)

After Bible story when we sang little, we could to play several games.Here Children needed find words about history they listened.They did good job!

Next game.Children choose numbered "berry" of grape they wanted and gave answer on question.

It was funny some.We used sticky scotch tape which helps to hold our "grape" on big sheet.When children separated berry, our magnets did not hold sheet good.We needed to hold sheet, help children to separate berry because sheet was moving on blackboard.

And in the end we made craft, Spies carrying grape.Children LOVED it!And they exciting all time to make a craft. :)

Next pictures are teens.They were in next class.

 Sasha and Lyuba had wonderful time with them too.They were talking about faithfulness to the Lord, faithfulness between friends, faithfulness in any good acts etc.

We had wonderful  and blessed time with kids!Children were amazed and joyful!We were so blessed at this day!

The next are worries, stress and sadness I have in my heart. I would love to share it with you.Each time we visit these precious kids, each time they let us know they do not eat enough. They get only two pieces of bread for each meal.They can not eat more because not enough food, bread etc.I know director of this orphanage loves children and cares about them.She does everything she can do.But orphanage has not enough money, so they save as much as they can that cover other needs.

My heart broke and crush for them. Last days I can not eat good, I can not sleep, I can not stop to think about them and I can not stop pray for them.I remember all moments when we give them any sweets, food and whatever and how they are happy to recieve it!I`m typing and crying.Crying because it is heavy to see their eyes waiting for you to give something but we are not able...We are not able to help them...It became more heavy when you understand you can not help.The big lump is in my throat and tears running, tears of sorrow and hopelessness.It is very heavy to explain what I feel in my heart...I`m trying do not cry but I can not.Tears do not stop to run...It is very heavy to say all this.

I know what feel this children.I know well how children hidden bread under clothes, in pockets or everywhere they can that bring it to their room.How children eat it that no one see, especially caretaker.If they eat not enough, they took and eat only bread, because they have nothing.Or they begin to steal...If children   malnourished some later they get sickness.If they do not get good medication, they suffer all their life with their sickness.I know what they feel and think because I was in their shoes(when I was in orphanage).My heart is broken and overwhelmed...Our prayer and pleading is to Jesus is to help these poor children...

I think we must do something.We christians should to care about orphans, to be hands of Jesus Christ, because Bible says James1:27. We pray we can help them.We think what if we will bring to them food each our visit or when we will be able.Food what they can take to their room and eat there or whatever they can.There are about 90 children.We need $1 for a child.We ask you please, pray we can help them.
