Second Bible lesson in special orphanage

I would like to share with you our  journey last week to special orphanage for boys that to have second Bible study. We are really exciting administration of orphanage let us come there and have regular meeting with these sweet kids! We thankful to the Lord for that!

Here are boys with oligophrenia, mental retardation, Down syndrome, autism etc.

Each time you come, each time you learn and find out more about kids, their mental needs, ability, skills, cleverness, other word all their needs.

And this time we have learned about boys little more than last time.We were upset when we saw many of them could not color simple things, and could not scissor out, when we made a craft. When we have learned with them very simple Bible verse they could not repeat, even most of them  speak. Also many do not know numbers, letters, etc. It is not because they do not have education here. They learn here very simple things, learn to read, write, mathematic etc. Most of problem because teachers do not have education how to work with children special needs.And also it is difficult  for 1 teacher when in class many kids, who necessary individual access and attention.

Ukraine only begins to do something that will develop kids with special needs and they will have any education. It will take a lot of years!

 But I would like to consider here each orphanage or mental institution is different! Many orphanages divide to several kinds: normal kids, a little bit mental retarding, deep mental retarding and different special needs, real deep mental retarding and other special needs.It is mental institutions, where are kids hopeless and they do not have education.

It was heavy a little bit for us in this time. Also the room is very small and the administration let us know we will use a room same size to the end of the summer. That is not problem, we are glad we can come to boys. We understood we will need to do a HUGE work here! We understand very well that many things we can not change but we will do what we can. We will try to do if only a little bit that children will develop and receive if only a little skills.

Any way we had very good time with kids!We took smallest boys but older boys came into class too. Children excited much of games and crafts.It look like they did it for the first time ever in their life! They sing very well songs with movements and they rejoiced by it!

When we helped them with crafts, some boys were so excited oh my goodness!They could not wait until we finish with it! They were so much impressed! They so much loved it!

We told them about Adam and Eve about first sin they did in Eden garden etc.

During Bible story we used a voice of devil( serpent) on tape recorder, when he tempted of Eve. It was fun to observe their reaction of that!

  We have played next game. Children had to find where is bad and good tree.Boys were choosing a word with number they wanted and needed to find same number of this word.I think it was good here to repeat numbers for them and read for those who can read.
The words were what we should to do( love, forgive etc) and what we should not do(bad words, steal, fight etc).              

In the end of the meeting we gave aircrafts to boys.You need to see their eyes!Oh, my goodness how they were glad!We did not expect that!

It was very simple to make it.But they could not.So, sisters helped boys to make their aircrafts.

Even older boys were rejoicing and excited by that!All boys were so much impressed and happy!

We were so blessed  having time with boys!We need much prayers and wisdom to conduct Bible lessons to them, keep in mind their special needs.Sometimes it is real heavy because they all are different.Please, pray God will give us wisdom and everything necessary to help these poor children! Thank you!

Huge blessing and amazing time with orphans!

Well.Here i`m going to share with you the next blessing we had yesterday.As i told you before, we were going to visit orphans in summer camp.
 Yes, we has done it!We had such blessed journey! Thank you each one for prayers!It is something incredible what God has done yesterday and how He has blessed!

So, what we have done in camp with orphans?
We brought to them the Gospel. The good message, that says how God loves, cares about them and wants to save from the hell and give eternal life in the Heaven.

 

                       During the program we had puppet show for smallest kids.

                             We sang several songs with children.They liked them!

We had object lesson.We have kept a balloon above fire. It did not burst, because the water inside of the balloon kept from it.We explained to kids.The same way water is like the faith in Jesus Christ, fire is like fire in the hell. How water inside helps to keep balloon from burst and burn.Same  way is our faith in Jesus Christ saves us from the fire in hell.

After that we told a Bible story to children about 3 men whom God saved from  burning fiery furnace.Daniel 3

      Kids loved this story and some of them helped us!They enjoying of it!

Also we explained to children that God can and wants to save them from fiery furnace, it is like hell. And He can save us from different troubles in our life(they have a lot), what sometimes are same like fire for us. God can save if we will be faithful to Him like these 3 men and etc.

During the program we had fun time also and we have played games with them.They all wanted to play!
They were so excited by it!We had wonderful fun time with children!

Here is the game to learn a Bible verse. The 2 teams needed take off paper bricks from sheets.The team who first will open a Bible verse, do victory.

But most of all we all were so amazed and shocked when Director of BOM and pastor Misha did invitation, about 25 orphans asked Jesus Christ to saved them! Oh my goodness we did not expect it! It is amazing and great!!! Our Lord such good, mercy and mighty God! We are overwhelmed and shocked! Do not have words...
All Heavens was moved and Angels rejoiced and sang and praised the Lord in this time! What a HUGE blessing we have! We are sooooooooooo glad!

"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." Luke 15:7

When we needed to go,children did not want to leave this place and wanted to fellowship with us.
 But we were hurried because we needed go to Annya, bring a wheelchair to her and see orphans in this orphanage.This special orphanage for girls is far away a little bit and we needed to go, because staff work before 5.00 pm and we did not have the time to be more with kids here.

We told goodbye many times to kids but they were still here.Sasha and Misha gave last instructions to orphans.

Untill we had fellowship with kids, the other were writing words on our van.The van was dirty because of the rain in the morning and dust on roads. On the right side of the door it says "God loves you". On the left side "God loves people". I think it is good testimony for drivers behind us on the roads. :)

Children asked us books or any Christian literature to them.We are not able help them with it. It would be great blessing if someone will helps us with Christian literature, little books, Bibles to kids! Please, can you help us with it? Is not it a blessing orphans want to know more about Jesus? We pray God will provide this need to orphans too.

This is what love orphans, just hugs, love and attention. How is sweet!They do not have that someone do it for them. :(

This time we have learned more their needs and it is more heartbreaking and sad... As i told you before they often feel bored here . They suffer of that, because children do not have any toys, games, nothing to play.They do not know often what to do...
Also children undernourished often. Even they eat here 4 times a day, they still hungry often.Probably it is a little food they get here. Fruits they almost do not eat.If they get a banana, it is half of that or  even a third part.They do not have hot water to wash clothes or take shower.

Their clothes is worn out much, shoes broken or too big size. They do not have change clothes. They are lonely, suffer and afflicted. All this is horrible and heartbreaking!.. :(((

Because of that children run away from the camp.If children run away, the police catch them sometimes in other cities of Ukraine far away, even in Russia. Children like to "travel".
Often children bring any disease, they hungry, dirty, they steal different things because of hungry, clothes, shoes and etc. and can get in any trouble.They street kids in this time.
So, next time we want to help if only a little to bring sport games, different things to make them busy, will save them from troubles and bring a joy and blessing from the Lord. Also bring to them fruits, bananas, oranges and maybe something more.But WE NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE! We can provide all these needs only with your helping! Please, can you help these afflicting and suffering orphans? It would be good if someone will help with clothes and shoes to send them.These kids will be in this camp to the end of summer.

Ok. It is not the end yet!We have one more blessing! Coming back  from special orphanage to girls where we brought huge blessing to Annya(yesterday), we visited one sister in Christ. In this time Lyuba(member of BOM team) began to witness to a grandmother on the street. Pastor Misha finished it and when he gave the invitation, she asked Jesus Christ to save her from the hell.

Grandmother asked us to help her with a Christian literature to read  and learn more about God! WOW! What a blessing!Praise the Lord!

So, we had amazing and great day yesterday! It is  incredible how  God has blessed us! We are so rejoicing these blessings, wheelchair to Annya, amazing and wonderful time with orphans in camp, about 25 saved orphans and one more soul-grandmother! It is fantastic, great and wonderful!

Oh, my goodness what a blessed day we had today!Great,wonderful and amazing! We are so happy! Can not find words to describe what we feel! Just tears of happiness! Oh, how is good and mighty our lord Jesus! Only alive God worthy all glory and praise!  Only He can brings joy and make miracles!

We have such HUGE blessing but i will tell you in next post!
Right now i would like to share with you other one more blessing we have!We know many of you are waiting  pictures of Annya! :)

Today is special day to orphan Annya who prayed and asked the Lord to help her with wheelchair! God answered on her prayers! He brought her joy, happiness and sent her a new wheelchair!It is amazing! Oh, how she is happy! She is so exciting by it!

 All children, staff of orphanage and director were so exciting and happy for her!I want to cry because of it.Really.It is tears of happiness!We are so happy for Annya!She all time was thanking!
BUT!Dear Friends, it would not be happened without you! We are so grateful to you that you opened your hearts to help this poor girl to get a new wheelchair!Thank you to being such BIG blessing to her! Probably she never will meet you on the earth but she said she will REMEMBER YOU FOREVER and will pray for you! Is not amazing? Thank you to have changed life of Annya! May the Lord bless you!!!

This is not all yet! God has blessed and we were able to bring icecream to all orphans!Oh, my goodness how they were glad!They jumped and screamed because of that, so much rejoicing!

Girls told us goodbye.No one did not want to leave us.:)

We are sooooo thankful  God`s blessings and His mercy to us!We praise Him for all His blessings and care of orphans!

Surprise!

We are so blessed and amazed how our Lord Jesus is mighty, good and great! We have all $350 to help Anna! WOW! Really we even did not expect that we will get all donations so fast and it came for a week! :) Praise the lord!
We are so grateful for all your donations to help Anna to have a new wheelchair! Thank you to show the God`s love to this orphan! Really we are thankful to you very and very much you opened your hearts to help this poor girl! She suffers so much and I can only imagine how Anna will be happy to get a new wheelchair! Oh, my goodness!

We hope to the end of this week to bring to Anna a new wheelchair, if God`s will! It is fantastic and great! What a blessing! We are so glad!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you very much on behalf of Anna!

A meeting with precious cuties with special needs

Well, we have another blessing!Yesterday we had a  blessed journey of visiting orphans.It was long day but blessed by the Lord!We are so exciting by this amazing and wonderful day!

Last week every day we had rain but yesterday the sun came out finally and the weather was nice!

We were able to visit small orphans with special needs.It is one of the biggest orphanage we visit.But all other orphans are in camp what is close to this area where is orphanage.

A little bit about this orphanage. Here are small kids age 3-10 years old. They live, eat and sleep in separate buildings.When they get age of 8-10 they go to study in same orphanage but in different buildings.If the administration of orphanage see these kids can not educate, they transfer them to special orphanages, girls where are only girls and boys where are only boys.There they learn only read, write and mathematic.But many of them can not do it, read, write and etc.

But if administration of this orphanage see children can educate, they stay and live in same orphanage.

So, these small kids with special needs are like little part or children`s house of big orphanage. There are 22 kids now.They all transfer from 2 babies houses we have in our region.When mothers leave them after their birth, they live in baby house 2-3 years and after that they can be transfer to this children`s house.Here orphans only with special needs. They all can be adopted!

When we just arrived to the orphanage, children saw us and did run directly to us.They were standing around us, everyone wanted attention to them.You could hear:"mommy", "candy", "toy" and etc. Some of them wanted you take them on your hands.Some of them interrupted other kids and try to tell you something.Many of them call "mommy" all ladies they see.Ah,they all are so sweet!We were so impressed to see them all and how they are precious and darlings!

We have spent time with them in nice room where they usually play.
During the program they were so attentive and exciting by everything we do with them! We  even did not expect they will be so happy and exciting by this all! They all are so so cute and sweet! You want to hug much all of them in one time!

We remember about caretakers also and giving to them of Christian literature, gospel tracts and etc.

 

 Here children happy and exciting by soapy bubbles!We bought to them soapy bubbles and decided to play with them.Oh, my goodness they were sooooo impressed we even did not expect they will react by this way! Oh, how they were glad by it!

So much happy, impressed and amazed we did ride to visit other orphans who are from same orphanage but in summer camp!
We were so glad to see these precious and dear kids! We are so glad we could make if only a little bit their day different from other days!What the mighty and amazing God we serve! How the great His mercy is to us! We are so blessed and happy to serve Him!
It is sad and heartbreaking but as in every orphanage this orphanage has needs also.There are a lot of them.
 Our wish is to help them to have a new playground.Look at this horrible place! It is sad that children do not have a place where to play.

 These all swings are very and very old, broken and worn out. It is dangerously to play for children there! Children LOVE these swings much!These 2 precious boys wanted to play there.But caretaker did not let them because it is dangerously and it can fall down in any time and bring a trouble and damage to a child.

There are 2 playgrounds because the orphanage is very big.But we think if we will help them even with one of that, it will bring much happiness, joy and blessings to kids! We need a miracle from the Lord to help these sweet orphans!PLEASE, pray God will help us to do it!

Leaving behind us these cuties we went to see other orphans in summer camp. It was a sad to leave them here.They all waved their hands and did cry that we come back soon! We pray God will bless and we will see them again very soon!

We did not see all of children because we came here to ask for permit to come here next week with special program to children.The administration of camp did let us do it with pleasure. They remember us very well. We come here every summer when orphans are here.

We left Gospel tracts to girls and our cell phones.Of course orphans can not call to cell phones but they want to have anything from you just to know and remember you.They are amazing and so sincere!They do not have attention in so many ways!They all need a mother!

They let us know that they feel bored here and often do not know what to do.It is not surprise! We did not see here no one game and NOTHING for development and fun time to children. They have nothing in their room except 6 beds in one small room, one bed-side table for 6 persons and a cabinet for clothes. They do not have hot water and in 8.00pm even cold water intercept every day.
Often orphans run away from here because they feel bored.

We think to buy several football balls, badmintons and other sport games.We can present it to them, to make busy and just have fun time.We necessary if only $100 for that.Can you please, to help?We have only several days. In 4-5 days we are going to visit them again, if God`s will.Thank you!

           In this building we are going to have a program next time.

Every region is different, depends where it is locate.In this region all buildings are from orange bricks because in city close is bricks factory.

And in the end of our traveling we could to visit one sister in Christ (grandmother) and have fellowship with her.Ukrainian people has own tradition and culture to be warmly welcoming and feed guests.Even you have a little food and reside modest but you have to take out your food you have and will feed guests they feel good.Very often ukrainians eat potatoes any kind, fried or boiled and something more. Grandmother fed us, it was real good! We praised the Lord for that because we were hungry after many traveling! :) It was real blessing from the Lord!

All Christians do that! Like Abraham fed Angels.Genesis 18:1-8

So, full of blessings and happy we came back to home!
