WOW!What a blessing we have!We have first donation help orphans with school supplies!Praise the Lord for His kindness and merciful! We are so glad by this blessing!

School supplies

We exciting to begin a next project "School supplies".In same time we have big burden in our hearts. Because there are soooo MANY needs. The head swims because of that sometimes.

The 1 of September children will go to schools in Ukraine. Same is in orphanages(not in all).Our desire and wish is to help orphans who educate in orphanages where we minister. There are about 760 kids who educating.We need to raise $3000 for that.In every orphanage education is VERY different.

Each orphanage where children educating has a very BIG need in school supplies. It is exercise books, pens, color pencils, sharpeners, fiber-tip pens, albums, colouring, glue, plasticine, educational books, etc. Each director of orphanage ask us to help with these needs.The orphanages have needs of that because governments gives not enough finances for that. Directors of orphanages struggle to care about children. But very often they can not do what they have to do because of not enough  finances...

 Orphans get just a one pen for a year.They can not buy exercise books for themselves.Only when it finished, they have to show it to a teacher and if teacher will see it real need a new, only after that child can receive a new exercise book. If  teacher will see exercise book have if only one clean sheet, child will not get a new.
Also orphans never have color pens, red, black, green, yellow etc. Only blue what they use in their exercise books during lessons. Often after lesson they should to return a pen to a teacher. When lesson begins the teachers give them pen again.It is sometimes every lesson that children will not lose pens.If a child broken or lost a pen, it is big trouble! They have not something their own. That is why children very happy to receive new pens, writing blocks, exercise books, color pens etc.

We weeped to see how children were happy to receive exercise books, pens, color pencils etc. It were tears of happiness. Just this little things made them happy!They were excited so much by that!

This is very big joy and blessing to get these supplies to orphans!

In one orphanage director asked us to help them with balls for physical education. They necessary 60 balls: 20 volleyball balls, 20 basket-ball and just 20 children`s balls. In this orphanage over 100 kids.They have not balls they necessary for that. We would be happy to help with all balls they need.Please, will you help orphans in this need?

Also in another orphanage, director asked us to help them with different things for labor training. They necessary special kind of wood(board), plywood, furniture lacquer, different kind of metal, nails, armature, self-attack screws, different wires, different tools and many, many other. Children learn to make different things from wood and metal.
There many talented children whom need to help.As the orphanage has need and it will help to develop kids and learn many things what  will help them in future to find a work.

The special inspection demands that these all orphanage will do in school program for children but governments does not give finances for that, because have not.Director worries much about that and pleads much to help them with these all things.

Good or bad news?

This day was beautiful, sun shined, warm much, birds chirled. The day was very nice!We are glad of warm weather!And we had a beautiful day with orphans!

Good or bad news? It was a topic of our Bible lesson with orphans last Friday.We told them a Bible story about 12 spies whom Moses sent to check out the land of Canaan and give a report of what they found.      Numbers 13; 14:1-39

We had full class again, even more kids than last time!Praise the Lord!Some kids were sitting on floor.

            In the beginning of our meeting we prayed and learned a new song.
Then we tried to remember last Bible story and had object lesson.

 We showed to children this glass of water. We asked them: Is it half empty? Or is it half full? It suppose their answer depended on their point of view.
Our opinions tend to be either negative or positive depending on how we see our circumstances.If you tend to think the worst of a situation, you might be negative and say half the water is used up. If you tend to be positive and think the best of a situation, you might say the glass is half full and could hold more.God has given us a mission to spread the good news in every land.

During the Bible story we used flannel pictures and balloons.We selected 2 boys who were "spies" and brought grape to Hebrews.

 

We love to surprise children  by some things, something unusual! Kids were surprised when they saw so big "cluster of grape" brought by our spies!

Joshua and Caleb put their faith and trust in God and His strength and power, while the 10 other spies worried about the superior size and strength of the enemy and the comparative weakness of the people of Israel.All twelve spies saw the same things, but Joshua and Caleb were mindful of God's presence with them. They were confident that God would lead them to victory over their enemies.

We have played in game " Tear off a grape".
Each balloon was numbered. The children had to tear off a grape (balloon) which they wanted  from the cluster and answer the question  under number they decided.Questions were about Bible story about 12 spies.

 Nadya  conducted this game.And as all time many hands of kids who want to play a game!

Children did great job! They answered on questions very well!We were glad!

Also Oksana conducted a game, where children had to find words from the Bible story.All words were written on blackboard.Most of kids did it real good!Some not, because they read not very well or some of them can not read  generally. 

We would like to mention here orphans are with mental retarding in this orphanage. When you watch on them you will not notice it but when you ask to read or play a game with numbers, you can notice it.Also some kids speak not good here, some can not speak generally.But they understand you very well!
We try to take into consideration their needs when we play games.We need a great wisdom all time when we prepare a lesson to  kids with special needs.Please, remember us in your prayers in this request.Thank you!

In the end of lesson we made a craft, Spies with grape.Children colored them, used short wooden skewer.They love to color and make something their hands! We placed a paper ring behind spies that it can stand on any places.

Well.Most of workers in all orphanages of Ukraine are women.Same is here.That is a problem that boys do not see often men, who could to teach them. When Misha our director comes to orphanage, they are glad!Boys love him!Love to play and just make fun!

                        This orphanage is close to river, rocks and forest.It is nice view!

Kids bid farewell with us.The half of orphanage came to say bye for us!We could to communicate with kids and teachers a little bit.They all are so sweet!

Kids tell us good bye!On ukrainian "poka".They climbed up  fence of orphanage.They can not come out behind confines of this fence.They spend all their days on territory of orphanage.

Tell you it is hard to live in place what you can not leave and go out to anywhere you want.Every day everything same, nothing change. Kids feel bored here often.It is almost like jail.They often want to home, even there is worse condition, no food, parents are alcoholic, etc.
 That is why they happy to see any person who come to them.We are happy come to them and tell about God!We happy and sad came back to home, have left kids behind us... :(

Trip to orphanage

   On Saturday our team was able to visit orphans again.One part of team could have a meeting with older children 12-15 age.Second part of team could have meeting with smaller children 6-11 years old in this time.
The team with older children had very good time.They sang songs, had Bible study and fun time.Everyone was happy to have meeting this time.

  In class with younger children everything was not so well.This is special orphanage where are children mental retarded and  nervous sick.Some of them get a medication in special hospital for psychotic sick people.It is so heartbreaking to know some kids were there.It is worst place for children! We can not describe of few words how is there.Some members of team visited there some people.It is horrible place for people still same after communism.

Just tears and tears runs on your face and much hurt your heart because of people who are there.How they are unhappy, oppression and melancholy.People walk there like zombie after got a treatment.They eat awful food!It is often not soup but just water and potatoes.They never get there any fruits.In dining room they get just few pieces of bread.People all time are hungry there.If some one visit them and bring food they eat it with esuriency. It is look like they eat it in first time for few days!Women live in one big room.Same is with men.They steal difference things each from one other.Most of all food.So, they can not keep their things. Everything they have, they have hidden it under pillow where they sleep.Many not good things are there.
It is awful place!It is so hurt to know these kids get into this place  sometimes.


At this time several kids did some troubles.Almost in the end of lesson they were good finally.Their behaviour was no so bad. We were glad.

But one boy in the end of meeting did a one more trouble.Oh, no! Lord, please! All team was frighten to the death and we thought we will have a big trouble with administration of orphanage.After meeting we had talking with caretakers and they said everything is ok.So, we came back to home with piece in hearts.Praise the Lord!

At this time we met a new girl who came to this orphanage lately.She is 6 years old.She is first time in the orphanage.It is very sad but her mom was in same orphanage.We do not know reason why she left her small and sweet little girl there.A kid when saw us she looked much scared.She had big eyes, looked confused, afraid to speak.

                                          
But in the end of lesson she was difference girl.She smiled, did not afraid any more come to ask us something to help, did not afraid to ask any question.She is not afraid us any more.:) But we were in little shock when we gave a candy to children.This girl when recieve it, she was soooo happy!She was laughed, smiled.She told us, she adores this candy!How she was happy got it!Also she said she will leave this candy for her mom.Oh, poor little girl!

Yes, we came back to home more late than usually, because of some troubles.We missed our bus, were waiting on stop some time and freeze as was cold much in the evening.But we were happy we able to visit orphans, everything is well and everything is not so bad like we  scared.

We understand and know now more deep we need more prayers, we need wisdom, we need patience, we need power and everything  what need to work with these kids. We are not perfect.We need the wisdom of the Lord all time! We need Lord all time! We understand and know the wisdom will not comes when is everything just well.God gives a wisdom just in hard time.

All these kids are creation of God.They are special! They need good friends, hugs, time, smiles, good words, our  love and love of the Christ and many many things what they can not receive from other people.We love them much! We love them much so we are ready come back to home  very much tired, hungry, our bus miss and walk to next stop for bus  in cold weather for a long time with heavy bags(where everything for lesson), spend half of day that to get there and after  spend time with them.We are ready to be sick in cold weather, freeze our hands and legs, lost our voices.We are ready to weep and pray before the Lord for their souls, tear our hearts in prayers and much more to suffer because we love them much! Jesus Christ died on the cross for salvation their souls! He suffered much, people humiliated Him, did beat of Him.He bleed to death because of our sins! So, it is for what we do for kids and we are ready to suffer it is nothing if compare with Jesus!
He is our Saviour, God, Shepherd and Friend!We have everything in Him! We are happy we have amazing God Who is Jesus Christ!
