The letter from God

The Letter from God it was a topic our meeting with teens in an orphanage on Thursday. Many people love to correspond with different people.Some people love to receive letters but do not love to answer.Some people love receive and answer to them.Letters can be bad and good.God wrote longest letter to us  people. It is Bible.He wants we read it, because it brings to us piece, comfort, encourages.If we do something wrong His Word convicts us in our sins etc.and most of all important we can get salvation reading the Bible and accept Jesus Christ in our heart.

Orphans love to correspond also.We think it would be a great if some one of you would be correspond with any child or all class! You can be a friend any Ukrainian orphan or orphans. It will be good practise for them.Because this way they will learn several things: how to write letters, practise or learn English, feel responsibility etc.Also they will know some one love him/her and pray.You can be a Friend  of an orphan this way?What do you think? :)

We had wonderful time with children! We remember we worried some about these children.Will be they come to these meetings?..Because there are many hard children elder age(14-16).Some children smoke, drink, escape from orphanage. 

Director of orphanage was upset because he did not know what to do, how will interest elder children of something.He loves children and try to do their life better how he can.He asked us to help him.We prayed and worried about it.We let him know we are not God, we can not change many things.We will try to do what we can.

We have some ideas how will interest children.It is can be very simple thing.For example picnic with orphans in forest or beautiful  lake.Or take bicycles and go to beautiful nature.We have a lot of nice places.We do not need to go far away.There is beautiful river, forest, rocks close to this orphanage.Of course if they would go to any  excursion it would be GREAT!

In this time children can will open their hearts, we can be close to them, be their friend, sing songs, have lunch, have nice time etc.We know children love this time much and will remember forever.It can change hearts of orphans.We do not have enough fundraiser for it. We need  to pray much and beg Jesus to help...

When we came to orphanage, smaller children have waked up. When they saw us, they started  jumping and waved their hands, knocking in windows and called us go over to see them in their bedroom.It was funny!

They all asked: "Have you come to us?"Oh, dear it is hard to say to them "no" when you know they wait for you.They upset in the beginning when heard it.
We explained that tomorrow we will have time with them too. Because we have Bible lesson with them each Friday.And they said aloud "YES!" They know this English word.They all so sweet! :)

So, this Thursday we had more children (32-35) than last time!Praise the Lord! Really we did not expect it! We were so glad! Dear Friends, it is answer on your prayers!

Some elder could not be on meeting, we called everyone, age of 12-16 who wanted to be on meeting.Some children asked us can they be on meeting also?Because they knew we came just to teens, elder children.Is not a blessing when a child want to hear about Jesus Christ?We hope they will continue to come in future also.

Well.In the beginning our meeting we sang several songs.They love to sing and they love guitar!

After that we have spoken about letter of God, Bible.Also we all journey in our life.Our journey start when we were born and will finish in eternity. But it is very important to choose a right direction our journey.Bible helps us in it.God left there rules which help us find and go to right directions.

It is same as road markings help driver find a right direction and get to point he necessary safely.If he will fracture road markings,he will have a trouble or will have an accident.We showed to them road markings.

Also we explain to them when we are going to any far away journey we need to be ready, take clothes and things which we necessary every day and put it in our bag.Same is we need every day our journey of life faith, prayer, obeying of God, forgiveness, read Bible, love etc.We can not live without these things.As driver can go astray without road markings.Same we can go wrongly.We necessary all this things in our life each day.

By the way do you know children in orphanage do not have their own things?They do not have own soap, shampoo, towel, gel shower.About gel shower, they even do not know what it is.Girls do not have deodorant.When they have shower day, they have two bottle of shampoo for all class, one for boys and second for girls.They do not have exchangeable shoes.They have to wear one pair of shoes several years.Same is with clothes.We pray that we can present to them something they will have own.Can you please, to help?..

                         After that we sang again and had fun time.

In the end of our meeting we had sweet time.We gave to children sweet water and different cookies.We did not have  a lot  but children were glad!They swooped to sweets like birds! Some of them did grasp and started to hide cookies in their pockets.We said no, no!Each one have to eat same portion of cookies.We spent only $10 to buy water and cookies.We did not expect will come more children and we worried it will not be enough for all children.But we were wrong! It was enough to give to each one and kids were glad!Of course, they would like more food!

Children asked us Gospel tracts.There it says how you can be saved.Our dream is present to them children`s Bible.We are not able to buy it.Here(where we live) it cost $5 and more.It is unreal for us.We have many children.Probably some one have opportunity to send children`s Bible on russian or ukrainian language??? They understand two languages.It would be GREAT gift to them! Oh, how they would be happy to get this special gift!

When we were going to home, children told to us goodbye, we noticed a girl who had a doll.She said it is all she has, only one nude and broken doll.She has not a toy or game...There are a lot of same children...

We had wonderful time with children and thankful to the Lord for each child who could hear the Gospel!Praise the lord for each day and moment to be with them!Everyone was happy and we also!Hope they will remember everything they could to hear that they will accept and apply it in their life.

What a great day we had yesterday! That is amazing! We have several blessings in our trip to orphanage!
First of all thank you so much to each person who praying for our ministry! God answers your prayers!Thank you and keep praying!

In this orphanage we have regular Bible lessons to girls with special needs.There are girls age 5-35 years old. Usually we have Bible lesson with elder girls.We all were thinking and praying about younger girls too.They need to know about Jesus Christ too and to know He loves very much and cares about them too etc.

One time we asked the administration of orphanage can we spend time with smaller same as with elder girls?The administration told us no for some time. Probably some later. We had praying and asked God`s will in it.
Do you know what? Yesterday, when we came  to orphanage, the Administration asked us."Can you take smaller girls and spend time with them too?" We were in shock and did not expect it! WOW!"Oh, yes, of course!!!!"-we anwered. :)

Also caretakers wanted to give us only smaller girls who understand something.The children who understand "nothing" caretakers wanted to leave in their class.We said to them, you can give to us all children!We would love to be with them too! The caretakers were surprised because they think, what you can do with child who understand nothing.But each child need a love! Is not right?Jesus Christ died and loves each person on the earth.It does not matter understand you something or no, rich or poor, sick or healthy. Each person want to be loved!

So, we had more than 50 kids in one class!Is not amazing whether? We were so blessed! Yes! It was very heavy physically and noisy somewhat. But we were happy we could to see and spend time with small kids also.Oh, how they were glad and happy! How they were enjoying the time together! It is wonderful!

Next what we have found yesterday. As Bible says in Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."  

An each Christian knows it really works!

We had found in this orphanage were several very BIG troubles until we were sick during 2 weeks.We understood if we would come in this time, something would be happen and Director of orphanage would tell to us : "I`m sorry but you can not come any more to this orphanage. Probably never..."
Do you understand what is mean to orphans?Do you understand what is mean to kids whom no one visit and they are forgotten of this world?..

We have seen the Director and he did let us know the trouble have gone already and we can continue  coming to kids. "Oh, Dear Lord, thank you so much we could not come to this orphanage  during few weeks!"
Now we know all things work for good, even we do not understand but we must to trust to the Lord! He knows what He is doing!

Well let come back to children.So, we had amazing meeting with children! In the beginning of our lesson we prayed and after we congratulated girls with their Birthday.We had 6 girls at this time. How they were glad their gifts(toys) even some of them are more than 18 years old!

During our time we had time as usually, have sang song, listen Bible story, playing games and have make craft.

Here we have played a game that to learn a Bible verse."Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5 

In each balloon was hidden a word of the verse.A child has to burst a balloon the way she wants.Than we placed this word on blackboard.
Word by word we gathered all verse.After that we learned the verse.Oh, how they enjoyed this game! We did not expect they will love it so much! Children was glad and it was much noisily in class! We glad when children are glad!

 Here on picture(on the left) a girl she all time brings her toys with herself. Children say she even sleep with them and carrying everywhere.This girl more than 20 years old.

Just a little one sweet.

This moment is hardest most of all when you get their hugs and kisses and you do not want to leave this place because of children... They do not want we go but stay and live with them.It is hard to leave them with their problems, lonely, abandoned...But our hope and comfort only in Jesus Christ.We can not change a world but we can tell about Jesus, Who can change your heart and give you hope and piece!

 

 

Can be whether something better?

Can be whether something  the better than visit of orphans?Can be whether something better than tell to them about Jesus Christ?Can be whether something better than pray together  with them?Can be whether something better when you get strong hugs from them and hear from them how they are happy to see you? Can be whether something better than bring to them hope and gladness?

Bible says:"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27 

 "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."  Philip.4:4

If you do something for the lord with all your heart it brings you peace, gladness and happiness!It does not mean WHAT you DO but if with ALL your heart and for the LORD JESUS.

What a great day we had yesterday!Oh, my goodness! We could to visit orphans again and we had an amazing meeting with them!WOW! We are so sorry can not pass along to you all our feelings, how we are much happy!If you will come here, you will get same expirients, gladness and happiness which we have.You will feel yourselves almost as in the Heaven! :)))

So, we could to visit orphans in an orphanage and had Bible lesson with kids.We had wonderful meeting!

This is the bus which we took to get to orphanage.We had the bus free even seats were there and we could to sit down.Usually the bus is full of people.

This bus which we took, usually rides to villages and towns but not to big cities.The K. is small town.

In this time when we come, children are going to have dinner.When they see us through the windows, they are running to us.We knew it so our camera was ready to make a picture.It is funny much how they run and hug so much strong that you can not breath. :)

These kids were watching through the window.They wanted to be on Bible lesson also.It is so sad and heartbreaking we can not take them.Ah!... :(


What we have done during the meeting? We have played games, listen  Bible story how the Lord led Israel through the Red sea, sang songs and have made a craft.

Before the Bible story Nadya showed an object lesson.We poured a small mound of salt  representing God's people into the middle of the saucer. Then we droped a  small amount of pepper over the mound of salt. The pepper represents harm or evil in the world. Next, she  rubbed a plastic spoon vigorously on the hair to create static electricity. Then, she  placed the spoon over the mound, and the pepper attached itself to the spoon, thus being removed from God's people..

Nadya explained and showed  how we can always trust in our Lord to protect us, even when circumstances seem hopeless. This saucer represents the world, which we all live in.

It may seem impossible to us, but God can do miraculous things. This spoon represents our loving God. Sometimes we are faced with danger and have no clue how to escape. God is always there for us. He can keep us safe no matter what.

Here is the short video.You will not understand the language but you can see their emotions. :) It was funny much when children watched it.They were surprised.They asked: "What is it? What is it?" "Probably  you  have a magical hair?" They never have seen a static electricity.
After object lesson children heard the Bible story.

 

Here we have played a game children love much. We printed a picture about Moses, Red Sea etc. and made big stickers.Children love much, to look for place where they have to placed a sticker.As all time they wanted to play all games and all children lifted up their hands that to play in this game .

 

This is the game which we had to learn a Bible verse."The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles." Psalm 34:17

In the beginning we have repeated verse several times.After we placed all the balloons in the center of the class. On balloons were written words of the Bible verse.We showed to children the first word of the verse on the board and then asked them to look for if they can find the word on one of the balloons. When a child had found the right balloon, he stick the balloon to the board.  We kept playing until all the words have been found. After we could to repeat verse again several times.

 

During the meeting we congratulated these kids with their Birthday what they had.We had not toys in this time. We had found notebooks for boys. They were glad! Do you know what they said when they got this little gift? They said that they will be write there a Bible verses which we learn each time!WOW! We did not expect to hear it!

We love this place! We did not noticed it until children showed us this place.It is their favorite crafts!
They love all their crafts but these crafts are special to them. :)))

We had amazing and wonderful time with children! We are thankful to the Lord and each one who praying and support this wonderful ministry! Thank you so much to help these kids make their life sunny and happy!

A Birthday Project

We have thinking and praying to make some thing special to kids in orphanages. We have one idea to make party of Birthday to them.Why? Because orphans in orphanages do not celebrate Birthday!

Did you know about it?

Imagine.When you have Birthday you wake up in the morning.No one do not congratulate you, no one do not tell to you: "Happy Birthday Dear!" No one do not hug you to tell you Birthday wishes, no one do not give you a special gift and card.You do not have a party with friends and relatives, you do not have sweets and Birthday cake.Your Birthday is as many weekdays.How you will feel yourselves in this day?.. Not so good...

If we celebrate Birthdays why we can not do some thing special to orphans?Why not?

Of course, we can not change many things which we would like to change in orphanages.Of course, we can not congratulate all kids with their special day every day.But something we can do!

So we have idea to make a Birthday party to kids. We would like to give to them gifts to those which we did not congratulate. We would like to make or buy pies, Birthday cards. Can you imagine it? Orphans will blow out candles on cakes first time in their life! What do you think how they will feel? If they are happy to get a small stickers. How they will be happy to blow out candles on cakes! WOW! It will be something special to them! Also we would like to make their special day just fun, playing games and sing songs, have fellowship etc.

But! We can not do it without your helping. We need $200 for 1 orphanage.It includes, decoratings for room (balloons, garlands etc) where we are going to have party, candles, cakes for 90-100 people, sweet water(kids love it).

But it does not include Birthday gifts.. We would like to ask you to help orphans.Probable you have toys or some thing what your child do not want to play with it or a game or toy is hidden in place during long time. A gift for small kids can be any toy, car, doll, puzzle, color book etc.For elders can be a shampoo, towel, deodorant, slippers, watch, game etc.

Please, can you help make special day to orphans? If may be any one can send balloons or Birthday garlands or candles, it would be great! Think, each little thing can bless a orphan in Ukraine!Also would be great if any person would be send Birthday cards. Orphans never get it!

Please, can you help orphans to make happy their special day?..Each little thing appreciating!Or maybe some one have better idea? We would be thankful for advice how to do the best way to make kids happy!

We are so exciting to help them in their needs, to give to them anything we able!And hear:" Look, what i have!I`m so glad!"
Ah!It is so amazing to be with all of them!

Time for news

Dear Friends, thank you so much for your prayers for our healing! We feel much better than several days ago. We know many of you praying for us, we cherish it much and thankful to the Lord for each of you!Many of you e-mailing and give encouragement. We need it. Thank you,  thank you very much!It is big blessing!

Even we feel ourselves not so well, we think it is time for some news and let you know about blessings.

Are we ok and can visit orphans? No... We still are sick but not so much like several days ago! When we were in bed and not able do something. But we would not feel better without your prayers!Please, keep praying!We need it much!

 Some members of team feel better but some have still fever, coughing etc. Some bad virus infected our body and does not want to leave. We thought to visit 4 orphanages during this week.We hoped on Monday we will feel better. But no. We need to stay at home more time. We do not know when we will be able to see our precious and darling faces...We do not know yet, when we will see how they run to us to hug and kiss because they waited during some time. We do not know when we will see their sweet smiling faces and shine eyes.We do not know yet when we will tell to them about Jesus Christ...We do not know when we will play with them have fun time...We do not know when we will be answer their thousands questions about everything...We do not know when small ones we can take in our hands and hold a little ...They love it.We do not know...

Please, keep pray  about our healing.We need your prayers!Thank you!

One thing we know, God is right all time! Even if we do not understand it, even we would like to do what we want, even it is against your plans, your sense, even it is difficult much...He is right all time! He is God and our lives in His hands! His way is the best way!  Bible says:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose." Romans 8:28

If you are Christian, you must to trust Jesus Christ all your life, heart, wisdom, strength, health, family, everything. He has something special for you because He loves you so much that He died on the cross! Only Jesus Christ alive God can give you piece, comfort, gladness in your heart even you have many troubles in your life! Yes, sometimes it is not easy! But if you will trust with All your heart, the piece and comfort will come to you. The Bible says and we believe:

 "Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."Matthew 11:28 
His way is perfect way!

Well.It is interesting during our trials,  health problem, broken van, death of girl in special orphanage in which we could not believe and it was hard to accept it... God is with us and we see His powerful hand in everything.

Last week we found that brakes of our van was broken.It was meaned we could not go to orphanages or we could to be in wreck any day. But our Lord is soo good He blessed and we could to fixed brakes.So, now we can visit kids again! We are sooo glad! Praise the Lord! Is not it wonderful?

Terrible news...

Dear Friends, Readers, Followers and just guests... with broken and hurt heart we have to tell to you a terrible news... We have regular Bible lessons to girls in special orphanage. There  are mental retarded girls and other disabilities. Today administration of orphanage called to us and let us know a one little girl age of 12 she died a day ago...She was very sweet girl. Even she was age of 12, really she was very small and skinny. You never would be tell she was her age. Really it very hard to writing, because we can not stop to weeping.Just tears and tears.
But we were more in shock when we have found the girl had a Down syndrome... Some time ago doctors found she had problem with heart and she needed surgery very soon. She was at hospital in Kiev (capital of Ukraine) where make surgery on hearts. Doctors did a surgery but it did not help... Her left ventricle of heart was atrophied already. Doctors could not to save life of this sweet girl...

We are in shock, sorrow and upset very much... No one did not wait it will happen. If earlier, if years earlier some one did find she has problem with heart, may be it would be save her life...

Administration of orphanage asked us to help funeral.They asked us to help with $250. Just coffin cost $162.5. We are not able to help. Can you please, to help if only a little... how much you able...
Can you please, to help us to show the Christ of love? That we all are Christians not in the words but in the acting also. Can we to show that we all  bewail and sorrow about this girl?..Please, pray for this all...Thank you!

One more sad news...

Well.We can not go tomorrow to orphanage which we were going, because almost all members of team got sick. Each one got sick almost for one day! Everyone has a fever, headache, running nose, sore throat etc. Maybe it is some virus? We feel not good...and we can not visit kids in this condition. It is so sad  especially you know they wait for you all time...
Today is not good day for us... :( We have broken van, we necessary finance. We are sick we necessary finance...Please, pray for us.Pray for our team...

We are in trouble...

Today we found out that we are in trouble.What happened?
We found out we need to change brakes in our van.It is worn out much during all years.If we will not change, we can not visit orphans or we can be in wreck in any day...After it will cost more, what is unreal for us...
We need just $50. If several people will donate a little bit, it will save us. Can you please to help?...
Tomorrow we are going to visit orphanage where we have regular Bible lessons to mental retarded girls.
Also we are going to visit mental institution this week, where are about 85 special girls.If God`s will...
If you can not donate.Please, pray for our safe traveling.We will go and we will risk.Hope God will safe us.

Clothes to children

By the way we think maybe you will be interesting to know about our Ukrainian life. As each person in the world knows and understands each country has own culture and tradition.People email to us and would love to know more about Ukrainian life. We will try to do the best we can. :)
Before we will tell you what we are going to say.We invite you to come to see ukrainian orphans your own eyes, spend time with them, will play, hug, kiss.

Yes, it will cost you some! But this experience which you will get, you never forget!Children love very much guests(and we too)  :-) from foreign countries! It is good experience for them too! You will find new small friends, who are very sweet and dream about good and new friends about someone who will love them. Yes, you can read our posts, see pictures but it is better to see your own eyes and will take part in it! We have saying "Better to see one time than to hear hundreds time."

So, before our last  traveling to orphanage with boys about which we told recently .

As God blessed us some.We decided to save some money that we can visit other orphans. Our decision was will go to other city name is  Khmel`nytskyi (it is hard to pronounce for foreign people) :) and buy clothes to children in this city because there more cheap than here.
As Bible says: "For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]? " Luck 14:28 (KJV) We decided to save some money.

This city is about 350 km where we locate. It takes for us 3,5-4 hours to get there. It takes 16-18 hours to get there and come back for us.In this day when we go there, we do not sleep.Because we leave city at 2.00 AM(night) and come back to home at 6-7 PM. Spend time there about 8-9 hours to walk and find places where is cheaper clothes. This bazar is big very much . You can walk all day long do not stop but you will not go round all bazar.

Also the roads in Ukraine is not so well, with holes and humps.You can not sleep when van is jumping. Maybe if you tired very much. :)

Yes, after this trip we tired very much.It is not amazingly if you do not sleep a night after you have to walk during 8 hours. :)

You maybe already ask questions.Why you went far away? Is not better to buy the clothes in city where you live? It is right questions.
In this city Khmel`nytskyi  is place which we call bazar. Who has been in Russian, Ukraine or Moldova knows what it is a place bazar. There like big market where you can buy everything.But it is not under roof or in building.It is open place.There more cheap prices than in shops.In this city bazar is for wholesale. We needed to buy clothes to 90 kids.It is a lot of. If you buy there you save much money.

Even people from Moldova and  Belarus come to this bazar, this countres are next to our contry. Also people from many cities of Ukraine come there.They buy clothes and different things and sell it in their cities for more high price. It is cheapest bazar in Ukraine. We come there to save money. :)

Yes, we could to buy clothe to children here. But we seat down and conceived if we will go to Khmel`nytskyi, even will spend much gas for van, ( per 1 liter $1.16) any way it will be cheaper and we can save some money that to visit children in several orphanages.Now in Ukraine gas is very expensive per 1 liter is $1.16. And soon  it will be more expensive...

And we did it! We saved some money and we able to visit 2 orphanages which we are going to visit this week.We are exciting very much and can not wait to see them again!Enjoy pictures our traveling! :)

 Our team.We are walking along of bazar.It was closed some places, but some worked already.It was 7.00 AM and was cold much.About 0`C (32`F).
