Abigail and David

What a joyful day we had with orphaned children last week! There was so much blessings, joy, precious moments, laugh, fun,  incredible time with kids!I have so much to share with you and so excited to tell what an awesome God we serve!

But here are only few of them because we have so many huge and unbelievable blessings that I am going to do another blog post. :)

So, we were able to visit children in orphanage and share the Gospel with them. It was so exciting time!

We talked with them about God's wisdom. (Proverbs 2:6) "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding". It was the main Bible verse.

We had a puppet show and sang a fun song. Children loved it!

It was so wonderful when children took part in Biblical story. They have been pretty excited to play a role!

The Bible story was how Abigail did a wise act before David (1 Samuel 25 )

When we have learned the Bible verse, we played a game. Who will catch a ball had the right tell a verse.It was so fun!

The last one was so amusing game! As Abigail took so lots of food, we wanted to play a game with  a food, something like that. (1 Samuel 25:18) "Then Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched [corn], and an hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid [them] on asses".

 Of course, we had no sheep , corn, raisins etc. :)  We took cookies.

With help of facial muscles of face need to move a cookie from the eye into the mouth and eat it. It is not easy but it is possible!  Hilarious! You will die laughing! It was ridiculous look at the funny faces of the children!There were so many children who wanted to play!Oh, my.

We had such a wonderful time spent with the precious souls! They all so sweet and treasures!

There are much more to tell you but a bit later :) We glorified our God and Father for such amazing time!

Meeting with teens

Last week the Lord gave the chance to us to hold a meeting with teenagers.We had great time!It`s the orphanage where typical children.We had a lot of cheerful time and the serious moments throughout the meeting.We sang together with children a lot, played and listened to the God's Word.One song they so loved that they asked to sing many times!That was wonderful time!

As we were going to have a meeting only with teenagers, we assumed that there will be about 30-40 children. But the Lord had other plan. Other children that younger age asked very much to be present at the meeting. We had no enough candies as we expected certain number of children.Our hearts was torn asunder, what to do? how to be? Later we solved this question. Thus we had exactly 90 children!Wow!What a blessing!

The Lord wanted that bigger number of orphans could hear the God's word and be consoled.We had such blessed time!!!

The hall was almost complete people. Blessing for us was to see many tеachers and workers of orphanage that could hear the Gospel.The God's plan ALWAYS is the best!!!We all were excited by our spent time so much!

Here is video one of our game.Children bound a balloon to the right foot. Then they divided on pairs. They shall burst a balloon of the companion and during the same time to save their. It was very funny to watch! They very much liked this game and were excited to play!It was so funny time!

We played one more game. Where blindfold children shall feed their friends who also was blindfold.

 This game was even more amusing. Was very funny to look, when they got to the wrong direction or instead of mouth got a cake to a forehead or an eye of the friend. All hall laughed loudly!It was soooooo funny! :)))

Except fun time, we had time when all presented in hall, could hear the Gospel. As we had a subject about friendship.What the Bible speaks about friendship, which we should be friends, whether we are good friends in relation to our friends etc. We told them great story of friendship about Jonathan and David. (1 Samuel 18-20)

When we arrived to the orphanage and prepared for the program, children asked: "Will we see a theatrical?" 

They told to us Bible stories about 3 young men in the furnace and about Jonah when we told and showed.We were impressed that all of them still remember these stories!That is great!!! Isn`t sweet?I LOVE when kids remember stories!

In the history of friendship about Jonathan and David we read. "Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle." (1Sameul 18:3-4)

We try to do the utmost that children not only would remember stories but that they would be impressed. Unfortunately we had no enough time to prepare this program as lately we are super busy. It was necessary to invent something quickly and being remembered. Therefore we found everything that Jonathan presented to David. When children dressed to play a role of actors in the history, they very much rejoiced. Especially our Jonathan when he had so many things. But what was his surprise that he should give everything to the friend David!He said:" That is a lot!" It was good experiense for him to be friendly. :)

"And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him. And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee? And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master. But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter." (1Samuel 20:35-39)

It was such honor for our Jonathan to shoot the arrows! :) He was excited very much!

But not only our Jonathan shoot arrows. There was a possibility to teach and many other children how to start up arrows. They learned to shoot at the target that we drew.Wow!It was such exciting moment! All kids wanted to shoot arrows!

When children just to saw bow with arrows, they were AMAZED!"WOW!Look at this!May I shoot?" They loved it sooooooooo much!It was such perfect possibility to learn kids how to use the bow and arrows.We love it! We were excited and thrilled how they were happy by using the bow and arrows!That is not surprise.Where kids could to use it and learn???

Who got the closer to center of target, won a prize more expensively.Boys LOVED this game! :)

 But on it our meeting didn't end. The our Heavenly Father is good to us, He blessed and we could distribute to kids New Testaments and Bibles.

 Isn`t blessing that orphans could receive the God's Word?Now they can read and learn about God`s love, about His comforting, how to live Christian life and much and much more.

 We had such great and blessed time with teens!!!We hope, if God will allow, to visit them soon. We praise our wonderful and so good Saviour!

When we came back home, all road was laid a smoke-screen. Snow at last completely melted. All prepare for summer, everything remove and clean after last year. Therefore fields prepare for sowing also. In the woods and on fields burn out an old last year's grass that the young grass could grow and was juicy.Just wonder, whether burn out also old grass every year in the Spring in other countries? We can win our fear with the God`s help.

Do you see  these wonderful of our helpers with bags in their hands?Yes!These are our bags, what children helped us to carry into a class(room where we have Bible lessons usually).
 When they only have seen us near orphanage`s gate, they flew to us to meet and help to carry  bags. They are sooo lovely. Oh, how they rejoiced having seen us!

 Finally I can share with you a wonderful meeting we had with these dear kiddies last week.I was going to do it every day.Finally I can do it.And i`m so glad!We knew that this day will be cold therefore we have dressed  more warmly.But the day was nice. The meeting with children was amazing and we were excited much by this blessing!God is so good to us!We praise Him for His mercifulness to us.

Aren`t they precious and sweet in prayer?

After prayer we sang a song.We love to see that they remember Bible verses we have learned with them before.It warms our hearts to see and we are excited about that.So, when we remembered with them Bible verses and last story.We told kids a Bible story about David.Children loved this history very much!Especially when David killed Goliath.

 Goliath looks ridiculous and amusing. Isn't it?Children were laughing very much when they saw him. :)

I like different ideas, that lessons will not be same.And I like when something impress kids.

This Goliath took me many hours to make him ready.In this day when I was making him, I tired so much that I was sorry that began to make him.To think up so it would possible to assort and gather it again, as it is necessary to carry in transport that can to destroy it. It was necessary to think up, that will be practical, simple and inexpensive.To think about idea, to print, to color, to glue, to scissor out, to buy a fabric and many other things.I felt tired very much and went to sleep only at 5.00 AM in the morning.But not only I made Goliath.Sisters helped me in some things what I asked them.Praise the Lord for such good helpers!

I thought it was crazy idea and I wanted to have rest already when it was too late at night.I was sleepy, wanted to sleep and thought that I can not conduct a lesson because I will not have energy.Next day we needed go to this orphanage with this Bible lesson.But in same time it was fun and exciting!I was excited and had imagined the admiration of kids. :)

And it WORTH of it!Praise the Lord I felt well, when I have woken up in some hours to go to  orphanage.Children were excited, laughed to see him.When you see happy and smiling kids, it`s such a blessing and you forget about everything.We were so blessed to see them amazed.

 Probably it is interesting for someone to know.Feet we made from plastic empty bottles.We have wrapped up bottles by sintepon and have dressed atop old stockings. Also feet we have put in a sandals.
Goliath in a picture sits. On idea he should lie down. Simply we should pull the big sheet of paper forward on which he is attached and then it would seem that he lies instead of sits. That we have forgotten to do. :)
Anyway children liked him.

As our Bible history was about David. We paid attention to that, that Goliath is our fear which we can't sometimes win. But if we do something in the name of the Lord Jesus, same as  David. The Lord gives to us of  strength and boldness to win fear.Also Goliath, can be our sins or temptations which we should to win.

"Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 
And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands."  (1 Samuel 17:45-47) KJV


After history we played game where children should at beat Goliath as David. Who has given the right answer on a question on history. Had the right to take a stone and to kill Goliath, trying to hit in his forehead.We have made stones from old papers.Crease it in a ball, forming stones and have painted by gray color.
Children were more amazed to see a Goliath!They said, Oh he is so tall!Wow!

They were soooo MUCH excited by this game!They all wanted to be David that to kill Goliath.Even when we finished the lesson, they asked again to play at this game.Kids were so much impressed!We even did not expect such their reaction.They LOVED this game!

 By means of the next game we studied a Bible verse. It was necessary to overthrow one more a stone, it was Goliath, with the help of smaller stones.

Who has brought down Goliath, had the right to open a verse word, which we were going to study.

They liked this game too! And all of them hastened and  pulled hands that to play.

Bible verse: "And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee..." (Jeremiah1:19)

 And in the end we did a craft, where David threw a stone in Goliath.As every time, some kids need a help.

When we have shown them this craft, they have been not so impressed. It looks very simple.But when we have shown that figures can move, they have been excited.Wow!That is great!And excited to do it.

With the help brads, David's hand can move when he throws a stone. And Goliath's figure can fall downwards. Also there is a moment when the stone flies to Goliath.They liked this craft, especially boys. :)

When we have finished the lesson, children didn't want to disperse and asked. Will you arrive tomorrow? Some of them began to kiss us.Ah, it was so lovely and heartwarming!It melts our hearts how they are precious and how they wait for us.

 Some of children saw off us till the gate the orphanage helping to carry our bags.

 With such full of joy in our hearts we came back to home.We were so much impressed and blessed!We praise and thanks Lord for each blessing and each moment to be with them.
