The first king

I`m very happy to tell you what we have done next day after visit girls with special needs.Next day we could to have Bible lesson with orphans with special needs too.But there children are different.
We had full class of kiddies! What a blessing! We were very excited to see them all and spend time, having talk about heroes of Bible.

I love to see how orphans pray!Aren`t they all sweet?

When we have remembered a song which we have learned with them about Samuel last time, we had an object lesson. We named this game, "If I would be a king..."
Children sat down on a chair, dressed a crown on a head, and they spoke, "If I would be the king", and they have told that they would do, their wishes etc.It very funny to hear their thinking and wishes for people in their kingdom(other kids at class). They LOVED it so much, to be king! Many children wanted to play at this game.
After that voting children have chosen the king of whom they wanted.

"It was only game and we chose the king. And now let's listen very interesting history which is written in Bible. How Self God has chosen a king!" we said.

We spoke this time about the first king in Israel how the Lord has chosen king Saul.(1Samuel 9-10)
"Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?" (1Samuel 10:1)

When I having prepared this lesson I was thinking for a long time, what can I use for vial? And I have remembered about small vial of perfume I have and a some moments of my life.
A Short story.
Probably 9-10 years ago an one man came from Greece to Ukraine and we met one other at one church. Two years later he came back to Ukraine and presented vial of expensive perfume to me(and many other gifts, he was rich man :) ), he wanted we married and to live in Greece. I told him, no. Because I could not leave orphans here... He pleaded me, you will have other ministry there etc, etc.
But my heart is here in Ukraine with those who I love very much. :) Who are very dear to me. God had other plan as for ministry and my personal life as well. And I`m VERY happy to see what God is doing in our ministry and my personal life too.

So, I keep small vial for Bible lessons. It helped us many times. :)

I have poured inside there pair of drops of water, it was as oil.Children were amazed to see when water "oil" were pouring on Saul. They liked it VERY much!

After that we have attached Saul. On the poster of 3 crowns. So we will consistently study about 3 kings, Saul, David and Solomon. I think it will help to children remember them better.

Next we played a game, we name "Find Saul".
"When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.
Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff."

We have hidden doll Saul in room before lesson. We asked questions the history they listened. Then children should find Saul. Who the first has found, had the right to hide Saul for game continuation etc.

At this time when someone hid a paper doll, all others closed eyes not to see. As children like to peep, we have told that they have laid down on school desks so it was easier to us to supervise them. :)

And after that, they searched for the doll.

Oh, how was happy who found Saul!
 Taras was thrilled!

Bible verse," For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding". (Psalm 47:7)

As we were going to do a crafts, binocular. "and when they sought him, he could not be found." We took  binocular to show to children. Oh, how they rejoiced! They could not believe that it is real. Is it real, they asked. All children could look. When they looked, cried out, "Wow! I can see far!" What a joy it was for them.

Craft, binocular

Oksana helped to those who needed.Isn`t this boy sweet?

Children rejoiced by their binoculars VERY much!

One more blessing they could to receive, it`s sweet marshmallow. They were surprised and very excited!

Some kiddies could not be at lesson. They asked us for stuff that they can make binoculars too. When they saw children have it, they said. "Oh, we want to have too!" They LOVED it!

We were tired very much after a lesson.Even could not speak. As there were many children in a class and were a little noisy. But not in it a problem. A lot of snow has dropped out and it is far to us a little to go to autostation to take the bus.Roads were not are cleaned from snow and it was heavy to go. We have been exhausted both emotionally and physically. And we were sooo hungry that were ready to eat snow in the street.Really!
We were very glad that could to have blessed time with children. But we were very so tired, we couldn't wait when we will get home.
